Cam sleeps ok during the night but the bookends are rough. Last night he screamed for an hour before finally going to sleep. And this morning he was up at 5. But at least he was content for the most part so I could get ready. 😊
DH and I had a money talk. We "only" saved an amount lower than DH was expecting . I grew up in a household where saving anything was considered a good month. So we talked about how much we spent on projects and how if we had chose to wait on grading the backyard we'd have almost a thousand more and if we hadn't had the bee problem we would have even more.
Overall it was a very positive talk and although money is definitely way tighter we could tighten our budget more and we are still (currently) able to save.
On our drive to Tahoe! And by "on our drive" I mean at the gas station 2 blocks from out house. But I mean two adults and kids up, packed, and on the road by 7:45 is an accomplishment no mater how you look at it.
Wow slow day, ladies! Hopefully this means your days are flying by!
Our night was once again atrocious. To make the regression even more exciting, baby I caught a cold from DC... My Mom came over and I got a head start on sleep last night. MH and I had a little spat MOTN when we were both tired and baby I was screaming. Neither of us care to hold grudges so I'm sure it's NBD. Hopefully we can catch up on sleep this weekend.
I've got a house full of sleeping kids. We made homemade applesauce together this morning. It smells a. maz. zing.
We went to the ENT this morning. They had to clean his ears out and it was absolutely traumatizing for him and I lol .... but he said both his eardrums are very red and swollen he's putting him on antibiotics again cause he said the drop aren't even getting to his eardrums ..... he really thinks we should do tubes but said if we feel like we want to wait and see we can. Idk i hate to just rush and do them but I also don't want to put it off and for him to have continued problems

That's tough. I don't know anyone who has regretted getting them done and a few people who wish they had gotten then sooner. But that's always hindsight. He's so young
birkmmm - unsolicited advice, but I'd do the tubes. If he's had this many problems this early, it probably will continue. And those suckers are painful. I had one as an adult and it has forever made me sympathize with babies with ear infections. I was taking double the recommended dose of Vicodin (doc was okay with and ending up prescribing more!) and was still in pain and could barely function.

It's been a stressful few days at the ICU with my brother. But I am so thankful for a very kind nurse who found out that I was pumping in the restroom and demanded that we find another option here at the hospital for me to use. I am using the employee pump room and enjoying a bit of peace for a moment in here.

birkmmm, DD got hers in at 8 months. No regrets here and she tolerated it well. I don't think our ENT does it before 6 months but it sounds like you have a much more serious scenario.

We never had to tube my ears despite the frequent ear infections, but the root cause for my issues were having adenoids that were too big for my head which was causing the lack of draining. I think in your case getting them early is the right move since it really is unpleasant to have that as a reoccuring issue as you get older.

I'm 'home' at my in laws. I feel like a bit of a walking weapon after being in complete isolation for two days and then released out into the real world. But I'm only a real concern for kids under 12 and pregnant women. The isolation was boring and uncomfortable, and the food the the worst. My neck is tender but otherwise I had no side effects. I will have to play a bit of catch-up but I've been warned not to use my phone/iPad too much since I'm still radioactive and they don't want my hands to stay 'hot'.
twocents6708 I'm not sure what happened to your brother but you're in my thoughts. birkmmm I too think I wouldn't put off the tubes for too long.

Welcome back ellesea is it wildly inappropriate for me to picture your radioactivity like a superhero with neon electric currents surging all around her body? Clearly I've spent the entire day using my imagination with children.
twocents6708 I missed something. Yay for pumping accommodations, but would you catch me up on ICU?! Yikes!
snoris, I was actually telling my H on the drive home that this would have been more fun if I had temporary super powers. Alas, my only 'super power' is that I emit gamma rays. Hahaha BUT you can certainly imagine gamma rays as neon electric currents. lol
