I think I've fallen into a trap. Lol. In desperate attempts to get more sleep myself I've trained Ridley to only nap after nursing to sleep (and usually in bed). I really need to work on that this week. Time to buy some stronger coffee!
Yeah I've fallen into the squeezing out a couple more hours of sleep by snuggling together. Id rather him just sleep through or go back to sleep in the crib haha
Wow some of you guys have had a rough few days, I hope things are going better today!
My H ended up bringing the boys over for dinner last night so I was able to see them, I just had to stay 4-5 ft away from them. Easy for the baby but my toddler is cheeky and would run at me and veer off at the last second, he cornered me a few times. He thinks it's a game. Luckily he wasn't upset when he went home without me. Only 4 more days until my scan and hopefully I will be okay to go home after that. I will be 9 days post treatment at that point.
I have no idea @led . I know that older kids and toddlers can get leg cramps during growth spurts though, not sure if babies get the same thing.
I'm glad your toddler is handling it relatively well. I bet that's a big relief.
Ryker threw up as soon as we got to church this morning and then I just tried to feed him and he threw up again As soon as he was done eating .... i think he might have a stomach bug or something 😕
That's how the great stomach plague of 2016 started in our house. We're on the third victim - MH was up all night throwing up.
kateisoptimistic, I'm pretty sure it counts as medical equipment, not your carry on. If they say otherwise I'd make a stink about it, but that's my inner redneck talking.
sounds like everyone has some shit going on. I hope we are all on the upswing to rainbows and puppies soon! I am holding DS2 since about 2 hours ago. I'm enjoying every 2nd of being trapped. DS1 didn't nap. AGAIN. I am so over it. SO VERY OVER IT. He's out to get a haircut now.
I was upset with DH yesterday but have decided not to say anything. He was at his wits end with DS1's shitty behavior before bed and he pretty up cursed in front of him/at him with a big Ol' "son of a B..." and then put him in the crib and that was the end of bedtime. I DID tell him he may absolutely NEVER curse like that again. A, it's wrong, B, i'm not a bitch so he should NEVER say those words to him or near him. DH apologized immediately and I know he feels bad about sort of losing it. It sounds worse than it was, but even if it wasn't that bad, it was still not good.
teraiin they did give him one but is taken it a few times already so I think that If it was that he would have reacting quicker ... idk 😕
@led I just fed him ( he hasn't eaten since 11) and just let him nurse about 4 min.... I think if he keeps it down I'll have him nurse a little more. Poor babe is hungry but I don't want him to just throw it all up
Since she was born, A has had this little tuft of hair that stands up on the back of her head thanks to a giant cowlick. You can see it in her four months photo. I love how unique it is. Today I noticed that her hair is long enough that it doesn't stick up anymore. Part of me wants to trim just that piece so it sticks back up again.
Well, I tried nursing her to sleep in the living room (usually I take her to bed) and she fell asleep for all of 3 minutes. She's been up for another hour now and she doesn't seem too fussy so I guess she's fine for now. But I hope she figures out how to sleep better for naps soon! The weekends are always hard on her, though. H is always doing something that she wants to be a part of. Maybe during the week it'll be easier to start the transition since it'll be quiet.
babycaps, MH and I had a long discussion a few nights ago about how tough it is to deal with J these days. He feels really guilty about not really enjoying spending time with him right now because he's so demanding. Two year olds are hard.
We celebrated my bday this weekend. It was a big year, but I kept my expectations super low because DH had to work and we didn't have any set plans. I told DH I was buying myself a DSLR camera, that I have wanted for like 10 years. I always have babies right before milestone bdays, but we are done having kids so me and my BFF, who is a couple of weeks younger than me, decided we are going to have an amazing, relaxing European vacation, probably along the Mediterranean, in 5 years when we turn 40.

Yeah idk enough about medication allergies but in sure one of our medical People would probably know more.
Hopefully he's over it and can start eating again. Poor boy

Weekends are the worst for DSs naps because he has FOMO when it comes to H. During the week he's decent at naps but weekends are a hot mess
FFSC? We've primarily been co-sleeping (without the co-sleeper because G won't sleep in it) or he's been sleeping in the rock n play next to the bed. I finally moved the pack n play in our room so he can sleep there instead of the rock n play. He kept rolling over and waking up crying when he was stuck on his belly. He sleeps in a crib at daycare and I thought he'd use his crib sometime by now, but I had to order some replacement bolts for it because I wasn't happy with how a couple of them were fitting.
Okay, I got her to nurse to sleep in the living room, but she's been asleep and latched on, still eating, for more than 20 minutes now. Not sure if I should risk trying to pop her off or not. I don't think I've ever successfully popped her off without waking her up. Baby steps, though. I guess getting her to sleep in here is the first step. Working on getting her to sleep when I'm not holding her or sleeping next to her is next.
babycaps, fishbulb my ds1 has been listening exactly 0% of the time since he turned 3. And now he also snarks me and random people at the grocery store. He also swears(dammit) in proper context thanks to mil. And he's a runner and has gotten away from me in dangerous situations more times than I'd like to admit. I'm at my wit's end with him. A few weeks ago he took an epic spill off his balance bike because he was going downhill, refused to slow down and got going way too fast to stop. He hasn't been out for a bike ride since because he loved going fast despite the fact that he crashed and hurt himself. I KNOW he will do it again. It could have ended so badly and I kept replaying the what-ifs in my head for days afterwards. I can't wait until he has a shred of self-preservation.
kateisoptimistic - Pumping equipment does not count as medical equipment, it counts as a carry on.
You can fight with TSA and gate agents, but you probably won't win. Bring a larger carry on that you can consolidate your pumping stuff and purse into while you board.

kateisoptimistic ive been researching this too since i need to take a pump and milk on my trip next week. It depends on the airline. Southwest and american do not count it as carry on though.
@led I think kellymom wrote something about that sleeping while latched thing. Baby I does it too. I think if you search her site for comfort nursing. Too lazy to look myself. 😆
ellesea I'm so glad your family is doing well with keeping their distance. My Aunt's scan came back 100% clean. I prayed in church for you today and that you would have the same exact news!
We successfully moved the DC setup but now we are absolutely scrambling to set it up for tomorrow. I actually like it better the way it's set up now with easy access to our backyard and kitchen, but it's still only temporary. Ugh. I'm really stressed. It's late and I still haven't even cooked for tomorrow!! Eep!

Busy day here. Hugs to everyone who needs them today. Sounds like some rough weekends around here.
DS2's baptism went really well. Today is DS1's actual birthday (4!!!). We had a busy day and a crazy weekend so I'm glad it's over with. DS1 is heading to bed now and DS2 is still asleep in the swing since we put him down at 5pm. This is going to mess up our sleep training tonight. Ugh.

Well, she didn't get any good naps in today so I gave up and she's in bed with me now taking a nap which I'm sure will mess up her bedtime and make her stay up super late. Ugh. Hopefully this is a shortish nap.
I had nachos for dinner and they were delicious, though. So at least there's that.
snoris what great news for your aunt!! I'm so very thankful for your thoughts and prayers! For everyone's, you guys don't know how much it means to me!! Thank you!
