If you are sometimes lazy like me and ever want to get a smoothie out and about, Panera has some good ones - I like the carrot pineapple one they have now. The superfruit one is pretty good. They discontinued my favorite (peach blueberry) when the fall things came out.
When I make them at home, I tend to do frozen mango, strawberries, and blueberries with some plain greek yogurt.
I keep meaning to try a green smoothie, but I have been wary to make a whole thing and then not like it.
I was eyeing the carrot pineapple one last week. I love all things pineapple, but was worried it would mostly taste like carrots.
I think it tastes like ginger and then general smoothie-ness. I'm a picky eater and was wary to try it, but it's my go to now. The carrot in it is just a puree - most of it is other fruit juices and then fresh pineapple.
I'm so glad this was posted! I've been doing TERRIBLE with eating so far, but I was in survival mode until like 5 days ago. Now that I'm slowly but surely starting to feel a little better (knocks on wood), I need to get back on the healthier train.
I think I'm going to start doing smoothies in the morning and for a snack to help with my fruits and veggies. So if anyone has any delicious and simple smoothie recipes that they like, please share!
My favorite fruity one: Greek yogurt, blueberries, mango/pineapple/strawberry mix. Spinach is easy to hide in this.
My favorite protein one: almond milk, banana, PB/Nutella
That being said, I'm not eating well at all currently. MS came back with a vengeance. Officially down 25 pounds. I kept down a brownie today and it was GLORIUS.
