So the reason I've been feeling so swamped is because I'm a moron and didn't realize my anatomy class was a 4 credit class (I thought it was only 3). Plus my 3 credit online class = 7 credit hours. Plus a 50 hour work week. Plus a busy toddler. Yeah, that probably explains it. On a whim I submitted an application to start the nursing school program next summer. If I got in I would have to quit my job to finish all my prereqs in the spring. Probably won't happen since I'm missing so many prereqs and its suuuuuuper competitive (36 spots from hundreds of applicants) but I'm keeping all fingers crossed. Happy Monday!

Boo Mondays. I have a headache. I need 3 day weekends.
Leo's eye has been teary and a little crusty since yesterday. No redness. FX DC doesn't send him home. I called my dad and he can look after him in the afternoon if need be. I cannot afford any more days off work even if it is working from home. This place says it's flexible, blah blah blah, but really they want you in the office.
Good news is that my fridge seems to be working fine. Just bad milk.
Banner effing day over here. MH put the baby down last night in shorts and no shirt. She wakes up FREEZING and screaming her head off. I go in, and while I'm changing her into warmer clothes, she kicks me in the eye and gives me a corneal abrasion. So now I'm sitting at the damn doc with my sunglasses on and my eye will not stop watering!!! What is it with J15 and eyes lately?!

laceysbryan you rock for taking that all on! Love those pics of your lo. And I admire your effort to keep off the pet hair... I gave up long ago. Lol littlelion fx Leo's eye is just irritated and that he doesn't have it too. Hope your headache feels better! Btw- I love Leo's hair. So cute! kcrus oh God, that sucks so hard. I had one in college and it was awful. Here's hoping your eye heals quickly.

It's been a rainy, cool day here. Lo was thrilled that it was cold enough to bust out the long sleeve shirts. I bought him a wolf one back in August and he asks to wear it every day. He was so excited to put it on- he spent half the morning pointing to his shirt and howling. I was excited it was cold enough for pants finally. Hooray leggings! He also mastered the use of the word "no" this weekend. Now it's "no" this and "no" that all.the.time.
I found out last week I'm 9 weeks pregnant. I had been having stomach issues, nausea, and spotting. I thought I was having another miscarriage, or actual internal issues. (Diverticulitis runs on my mom's side of the family.) Went to a Dr. last week, and they told me. US confirmed it last Friday. We haven't told anyone. Not a soul. We want to get through the 1st tri before getting really excited. I feel like my MC has taken away from the excitement of discovering this wonderful news because now we're overly cautious. But... yeah...
LO woke up really early this morning, like 6 am. Her pacifier (binky) fell out of the crib and she couldn't reach it. I tried to bring her to our bed, but she thought it was "jump jump" time and started bouncing around. Needless to say, DH was not amused. Well, he sort of was lol. We went for a walk to the park and Subway, 20 blocks round trip. She fell asleep on the way home, slipped out of her stroller because mommy didn't strap her in (oops!), and I carried her the remaining 2 blocks home, pushing said stroller.
I was going to take some clothes in to this kids consignment store that was on the way, but they have the most irregular hours. I stopped by last week, an hour after they were supposed to open, and no one was there. Today, their business hours sign was down, and a handwritten note was up. "We will be in and out all day. Sorry if we missed you." It's the only place like it in town, and I'm trying to support them because it's a small, local business, but they are making it really hard!
Tonight, we are going to our BFF/my "bro's" house to eat dinner and watch the first presidential debate. We're giving his GF a ride out there, which will be nice. DH has met her twice, but not without BFF around. We are really close knit, and quite honestly, really protective of our buddy (he doesn't take heartbreak well at all) so I have a feeling DH is going to ask her some questions on the way down. We will have 30-40 minutes with her in the car. I like her and think she is really nice, but DH is way more protective than me. Him and BFF have known each other since they were 3 years old. Bff is making beef stew and I'm in charge of the garlic bread. I think I'm going to bring a salad too.

I'm at clinicals today. I think I'm going to have to find a daycare or preschool for Em. I'm having trouble getting time slots booked for her to go so I can go to clinical. And next semester is going to be bad because it's the largest chunk of hours.
laceysbryan OMG, you must be Superwoman. And, at one point in time growing up, we had 4 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 birds (parakeet and cockatiel). My family gave up the fight to keep pet hair off stuff. Hope it works for you! littlelion I adore Leo's hair! He looks like one of the big boys! Hope his eye isn't anything serious! kcrus Hopefully, there is lots of wine in your near future. Very, very near future. ashlantic I LOVE that shirt, and how adorable! He howls?! Too cute!

raven omg! Congrats! Sending so many good vibes for you and your little bean. Sorry for the early wakeup. ourcrazynavylife good luck finding a place for Em!
ourcrazynavylife I think we are in the same boat here. I've started looking for preschools for spring- my mom isn't reliable and I may be commuting 3 hours away for one of my rotations.

kcrus, ouch, hope it heals fast. And yeah, those toddler kicks are no joke. I need to always have my arm ready for the kicks when changing a diaper. No bueno.
ashlantic, lol, Leo howls too. The other animal sound that cracks me up is his meow. It's a forlorn meow done with a sad face, no idea why. And you know what's more annoying than a toddler saying no to everything? A husband that gets upset over it. I swear that's what started my headache last night. DH arguing with Leo because Leo kept saying no.
Good morning sorry I have been MIA, I had a 4 day weekend off and we did adult house stuff all weekend NO FUN!! DH put insolation in the attic with plywood so we could put our holiday decorations up there and I put the baby stuff up there... LO wanted so bad to be out there with us the whole time but I had to bring him in to cool off, I one point he had sweat on the back of his shirt...he lost it when I took him inside but the Minion movie and milk and he was out for 3 hours! TMI: I was just in the bathroom and thinking I am 3 days late for my period and was thinking I might have to pee on a stick, but then nope AF showed up...which bummed me out as I was actually getting excited! DH is still on the fence about another one...but when I suggested just donating all of LO things instead of putting them in the attic he said NO lets keep them just incase so he is not 100% done! We leave for Disney in 30 days and we need to finish getting the camper ready, get our costumes for the Halloween party and get our tickets to the party... raven, Congrats!!!!
raven so many congrats to you! I had a MC before Leo. It was awful and it made my pregnancy with him full of anxiety at times. every "milestone" helped- 12 week scan, anatomy scan, halfway point. It got a little bit easier each time. I won't lie, I am absolutely terrified of getting pregnant again because of my history, but you can do this!!
littlelion love that pic of Leo ashlantic omg I love that he howls! Adorable laceysbryan that's a lot on your plate!! I don't know if I could swing that. kcrus oh man... How's your eye feeling? ourcrazynavylife someone told me I had to start checking into preschools for next year because spots are hard to come by and it made me so nervous!! babyw15 sorry about AF
Guys, Leo has been a straight up monster at meal time again. He now says "all done" like immediately and wants to get down. This is improvement over throwing his plate on the ground and saying nothing, but I don't know what to do. I usually say no, you need to take bites of this first and he flips out. Tonight he launched his peas at the dog and freaked. I hate meal times! His speech therapist is a little concerned about his ability to make consonant sounds which of course made me nervous today. He's making huge gains overall. He goes for a hearing screening Wednesday to rule out any hearing issues - he has none, it's called toddler selective hearing! I need some wine.

babyw15 sorry for the AF. kcrus that's ridiculous! I'd be so pissed. Hope the ointment is at least helping. sgio7485 sorry for the rough mealtimes. Its so stressful! Could he be teething? Lo was a straight up disaster and never wanted to eat much when he was cutting a tooth. Sorry his speech therapist made you nervous. I'm glad he's making gains though! Big hugs (and wine) to you!

It could be now that you mention it. He was digging in his mouth earlier and was a cranky monster.
