Just called to find out I will be getting an additional breast pump covered through insurance! Yay
I switched to my husbands after P was born. Now I'll have 3 total. One for home, work and diaper bag. Trying the spectra S2 since I've read good things for EPing
watermelonseed I hope you like the Spectra! I EP'ed for my oldest with it and really liked it. I got one this time around too.
We're up to nothing today. I think all 3 girls have colds. DD1 definitely does and the babies seem to have runny noses. So far, no fever and I really hope it stays that way. I hope it's just due to the change in weather.
I'm at work - getting lots of surprised looks and questions about still being here since my due date was last week. I'm starting to wonder if my S16 baby is going to become an O16'er!

Its rainy and dreary here which seems to be matching my mood. If you guys where gifted with a stroller/carseat you didn't pick out would you keep it or return is for the one you wanted? As for my day just moving the gifts into the nursery then probably running errands.
+1 for baby with a cold. I started showing symptoms first then DS1, now DS2 is a snotty mess. He is still nursing but is miserable while doing so and he woke up to his eyes and nose crusty. His poop has had mucus and looked like there could have been some blood so taking him to the Dr today.
Good morning! Sorry to hear about all the colds going around It's definitely the start of that time of year. We had a better night last night...baby girl actually slept during a few 2 hour stretches. Woke up feeling hormonal and emotional about my toddler...I miss her so much. She's here but my H is taking care of her primarily and I just miss the one on one time.
I also am having a lot of hip pain on one side...it's freaking me out a bit. I need to stay off Dr Google.

I would return it for the one I wanted. I did a lot of research picking out my stroller and car seat so as much as I'd appreciate the gift, I would want the ones I had picked out.

That is my thought but DH is not on the same page. I guess I just feel like I should be more greatful about it than I'm currently feeling and I hate that, I hate feeling like a selfish bitch. But at thr same time I picked out the one I did because I thought it fit our needs and our family the best and that by picking something else our needs and wants were ignored. Especially when later on his aunt was talking about picking it out and her words were "I wanted one with this... I didn't want this, or like that feature..." and I think she in part realized this because she didn't give receipt with it so we can't actually return it. I'm truly greatful that we have something we can use for now especially since he may come home in the next week or two and at $300 the one we picked was going to put us in a hard spot, but if after a week or two I end up hateing the system im going to buy the one we picked out.

I'm starting to think the same thing about my LO!!
I keep getting the same looks at my job (although my due date is Thursday). I emailed my scheduler today and told her to put me in for vacation days starting 10/5. Mama is so over working!
I get 300 kids saying 'your baby didn't come out yet?' or 'why is that getting so big' while poking me in the stomach.

Well we made it through the grocery store with no issues! Of course I ran into a friends mom and she wanted to chat for 20 minutes... still, no issues from either kid! Success!

I am however digging on my diaper bag again. They colors looked a bit different in person than they did online so I knew picking it was a bit or a gamble but the paler colors are growing on me. I thought it was a slightly brighter blue and I love brighter colors.
Just finished our first pediatric appointment. Day 5 and he's already back to birth weight! He also would've slept all night if I hadn't woken him to feed him. I guess I make sleepy babies because big sis was the same way until she hit eight months. Then she'd wake to eat twice for the next six months. We eventually night weaned and she went back to sleeping through.

Hoping all the other sick babies and moms feel better soon. PP appt went good and I'm all cleared I just don't want to tell DH yet cause I'm scared lol last time after DS was rough.

I understand how you feel, but this is such an important piece of baby gear. You need to love it since you'll probably use it everyday. I had also put a lot of thoughts in my stroller and car seat. This is not something someone should ever buy as a gift unless it's from the registry.
Boo. Just went to her first pedi visit and she's down 6 oz since discharge. I was not expecting that. Weight check wednesday and I need to supplement .5oz after every feeding. So I'll pump as much as I can and make up the rest in formula.
Oh no. I've been there with DS1. I'm sorry you're dealing with that.

unringthebell sorry about the weight loss. Can you ask your doctor about a milk fortitifer (?) For your breast milk to help out. That's what they use for J in the hospital and he'll likely be on it a while when he comes home they said we could get it at the store. It's by selmilk (?) formula company, I think I know I spelt that wrong. For J they have him on some that takes my milk from 22 calories to 27. That is if you prefer just breasmilk to formula it may be an option.
