Symptoms: Just my hip and back that have been bugging me.
Appointments this week: Nothing this week.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: I'm hoping the heat will be officially done this week and I get back to comfortably working out. I found a couple of third tri workout videos to do at home.
GTKY: What is your favorite halloween candy? I'm all about the old school basics. Hershey's bars, peanut butter cups, 3 musketeers. I usually try to buy a big bag that has none of those in it so I'm not tempted to eat any of it.

Week/Team/Fruit: 27w1d, BLUE, Head of lettuce..I am sorry but the Bump is getting lazy...I had a head of kale last week.
Symptoms: Physically I am okay, just the normal things, its getting harder to breath. Emotionally I am a wreck. I had a melt last night from flying with DD from charlotte. She was a monster and I had no answers on how to fix it. I felt like I was being totally judged not to mention I am pregnant with another one on the way. I CRIED my eyes out in the car and questioned my ability to be a mom not only one but two children. IT was a very low point for me. To the point i feel like DD could feel it and she seemed to try when we were in the car and at home to be loving and kind of say sorry mommy. But omg..guys it was not a good place to be without DH around.
Appointment this week: None this week, I haven't had a call from my Dr. office as of yet. SO I think I passed my glucose test on Thursday of last week. I am not scheduled for every other week till 38 and then its every week. THIS IS GETTING REAL.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy? Cutting out candy and junk. I have just been too lax. I have three months to go and I need to control this now and not later. I ate like a maniac at my grandmothers. I am kind of disappointed in myself.
GTKY: What is your favorite Halloween candy? I would have to say mounds and candy corn. HAHAHA.
@cahistoryteacher , Oh I am so happy we are turning towards fall weather. We are a whole week of 70s..thank you Michigan. I am still working out and its getting hard...out of breath and takes longer from me to loosen up. I might have to look at somethings to do at home. Whats the name of the videos if you don't mind me asking?
requiressnacks, OMG yes with the CANDY CORN. IT is pretty delicious. Like its not Halloween without it. I am sure the rest is much needed momma...two butternut squashes in that tummy!
mrsp121308, Second the so sleepy and the crappy ass sleep. AND the getting up and can't walk cause my damn pelvis ligaments lock up.
Week/Team/Fruit: 28/Pink/I've stopped keeping track of the fruit
Symptoms: TMI, but... Oh, hey there hemorrhoids. I still feel like I can't breathe half the time, and my knees are still crap. My doctor confirmed that it's likely from the relaxin, so it will hopefully get better after the birth.
Appointments this week: none this week.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Still drinking a ton of water!
GTKY: What is your favorite halloween candy? All of it. Gimme.
WineNChocolate, one is Yoga with Adrienne's prenatal yoga, which is a for fee video. But I love her so it's worth it. The other one I've found is just off of youtube, it's Denise Austin's 3rd tri toning. It looks gentle enough, not as hard into the cardio as her other videos. I had saved a few barre videos that I liked from youtube, but I never started them so I figure 3rd trimester probably isn't the time to start. I"m mostly excited for the weather to change so I can take walks without feeling like I'm going to keel over from the heat.

Week/Team/Fruit: 28/pink/coconut
Symptoms: holy hot flashes Batman! It's nothing new, but I am getting so sick and tired of being hot all the time- I literally spend 80% of my day sweating and wake up at night if the cats get in the bed b/c they overheat me too! I am SO READY for cooler weather so maybe I can get a break.
Appointments this week: Regular OB appt tomorrow, and I think we're starting the growth ultrasounds
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: not eating things that are bad for me (stupid Type II)
GTKY: What is your favorite halloween candy? if it's chocolate, I love it, rofl

WineNChocolate, I am so sorry that your flight was such a nightmare. I hope the return isn't so bad. XOXO tbonequeen13, I hear ya on the hot flashes. I am practically disrobing in my office right now. I apologized in advance to my coworkers.
hugs to those of you who are achy and tired! I hear you
hugs WineNChocolate . go easy on yourself, and remember that you're pregnant and that despite your best efforts sometimes little kids can be a nightmare.
Week/Team/Fruit: 27w1d/pink
Symptoms: super tired, but I found out I am pretty anemic last week. taking iron and hopefully I will feel a little more energetic soon. also, the anterior placenta is really starting to bug me - I still don't feel much movement, even though kiddo is dancing around in there at every appointment.
Appointments this week: I have one this week and every other week until delivery.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: even though I passed my 3 hour test, failing my 1 hour made me want to be mindful of cutting back some on carbs and sugar. Even more so now that I'm not allowed to work out due to the bleeding scare.
GTKY: What is your favorite halloween candy? peanut butter cups, hands down. I can eat like 50 of those.
Symptoms: It is more like what symptoms am I not having. My feet and fingers are extremely swollen, I tried going this weekend without my meds- nope, vomited all night long yesterday. Not to mention if this baby girl doesn't move away from my ribs and let me get some sleep soon I may just go crazy. I broke down crying last week because I am so miserable, I keep telling myself 8 more weeks- tops!
Appointments this week: Regular OB appointment on Wednesday.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: SLEEP- give me all the sleep.
GTKY: What is your favorite halloween candy? PB cups We normally get less than a dozen trick or treaters so we always wait until the day after and buy everything half off to enjoy for ourselves.
Symptoms: Pretty much same as everyone else… SOB, lower back pain, pelvic pain while sitting too long or sleeping, occasional heartburn
Appointments this week: My 3 hour glucose test on Thursday morning… yay me, plus an u/s to check cervical length since G had came just over 5 weeks early. I’m excited to see baby again, but u/s always make me nervous that they’re going to tell me something is wrong.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: I’ve been mainly sticking to a healthier diet than I was in the past – feeling good about that at least.
GTKY: What is your favorite halloween candy? I love it all!!!!
@cahistoryteacher – you’re ambitious to still be working out – good for you!! I’m glad our heat is finally gone here… helllllo 60’s!
requiressnacks – “general misery” awwww I’m sorry hun. Hang in there! PS… candy corn. YUCK!
mrsp121308 – I love reeses too… especially the white chocolate covered ones. I actually like the name Reese for a girl, but our last name starts with an R so it’d be too much. Good luck with your u/s on Friday!!! What’s the reason for that? I must have missed it.
tbonequeen13 – how often are you getting growth scans?
emilie – I have my 3 hour on Thursday, but I feel like failing my one hour also made me feel that way…. Like, maybe no more delicious gas station hot pretzels or loads of noodles and cheese. I’m actually feeling better though about my choices and hopefully it’ll make it easier once baby is born to get back on track.
@becca – good luck at your appointment tomorrow! I’m sorry that you’re feeling down and hope you get some rest soon. Hang in there momma!
@kcnumbers – I’ve been having splurges of nesting too and I think it’s driving DH crazy.

hmr11913, thanks! It's just a growth ultrasound and she wants to check her position. I have a history of bigger babies so I think my OB just likes to get a good sense of her size as we get closer to the end.

I'm anxious to see if baby is still breech or not at my u/s on Thursday. I think I'm going to go into panic mode if he/she is... even though I know they can still flip around.

That's what I'm curious about too. I'm terrified of her being breech because my babies tend to be big so I'm afraid she won't be able to flip.
mrsp121308, well you're not alone in your worries! G was always head down at every appt, so the fact that this baby was breech at my last one sent me into panic mode. FX for a head down baby for the both of us! Hope that you enjoy getting to see her sweet little face again.
mrsp121308 and hmr11913 my girl was also breech at the last appointment. I know she's got a decent amount of time to flip herself around but I was not happy. I'm talking with my acupuncturist about it next week and then when I meet with the chiropractor I'll ask him about a few things I've heard they can do.
@cahistoryteacher, you'll have to let us know what they say! I don't believe that I'd elect to have my doctor try to flip him/her if it came to that, although I'm terrified of a major surgery... I don't know much about that, but I've heard that it can be really painful and somewhat risky.
hmr11913 , My understanding is that the chiropractors just work on your hip and pelvic alignment through gentle pressure(no scary adjustments) and that helps to get the uterus to relax/move to allow baby to switch positions. None of it involves manipulating the uterus or the baby. My acupuncturist said that since I have hip issues that it could be constricting the shape of the uterus (basically the pelvis is tilted in two directions because one hip is tight) and preventing the baby from being able to easily flip herself around and that's where the chiropractor comes in. She recommended a chiro who is certified in pediatric/maternal techniques and she said some of their techniques have an 80%+ success rate and getting a baby to turn and that they can start doing them now instead of later. Edited to add: My acupuncturist has said some thing with incense that is supposed to help, I had to try really hard to roll my eyes at that one. Apparently burning this one kind of incense near your pinky toes is supposed to help. But hey, who knows?
As for an external version, I'm not in love with the idea. My dad was an anesthesiologist for 30 years and said he'd seen many of them and he said it looked horrible, even with medication. He actually said he wasn't sure if it was common practice anymore, he hadn't seen any in a long time. My understanding is they do them in a delivery room/OR setting in case something goes wrong. If that's the case then I'd rather have a planned non emergency c-section then risk something happening in a version. But they don't even do versions until 36+ weeks so at this point my baby has a little over 8 weeks to get her act together before we even talk about something like that.

A friend of mine just went through with trying to flip her LO at the OB and she said it was incredibly painful. But they do fetal heart monitoring the whole time in case there is an issue or too much stress on the baby.

hmr11913, it sounds like they're doing them every 4 weeks for now (just another fun side effect of being Type II). Everything looked great today, she's in the 50% for size and they said fluid levels look great. She's been head down the past 2 ultrasounds, so I'm crossing my fingers she stays that way.

@cahistoryteacher, they did them 3 year ago when I was pregnant with DD, but they had pretty strict criteria for getting one...DD was breach for a week around 32 weeks, but they wouldn't have done a version on me b/c I only had a 2 vessel cord and they decided the risks to her would have been too great...luckily she flipped on her own..there is a website called spinning babies that has some techniques for getting them to flip...i spent most of that week almost upside down with ice on the top of my belly...not sure what did it, but boy was I glad something worked b/c I have super major surgical anxiety and the thought of a c-section was enough to nearly trigger panic attacks.
my kiddo is still breech, but I'm only 27 weeks so I think she definitely has time to flip. my OB said not to worry about it until 34 weeks or more, so I think we're all still in the zone where a head-down baby is possible!
Symptoms: Only new symptom - My knees hurt! Per the internet, this is probably both related to relaxin and to weight gain, but no fun either way.
Appointments this week: Tuesday (just a regular appointment). After this one, I go to appointments every other week - crazy that there will only be 3 of those (I think) and then to every week! We are also doing an infant and child CPR class on Monday.
What are you doing this week to have a healthy pregnancy?: Trying to eat relatively healthy and to get a little bit of exercise while taking it easy on my knees.
GTKY: What is your favorite halloween candy? Reeses peanut butter pumpkins
