We have decided to stay local for our DEgg cycle. The money factor sucks but the fact that we can see childhood donor pictures and get their and their family medical history was important for us.
First up is to do our nurse consult. I'll have to redo my SIS (ugh) and both will have to update our infectious disease BW.
We will be using My E.gg B.ank.
The coordinator said yesterday that they have me do a 'mock' cycle before the actual transfer cycle. They put me on the meds and monitor my lining. ? ? ? Anyone hear or doing this or have done this in prep for an FET? I don't recall hearing of this before.
I asked if it's possible to have the transfer before their December shut down, she said it is possible if things move quickly and the mock cycle goes fine. Ugh. Annoying.
Other than that being stupid I'm just glad we've made our decision and are moving forward.

4furrypaws, how is your prep going? Donor cycles maddeningly take forever! It's torturous.
Donor #3 has been stimming for a week and has 37 follicles, with the biggest at 14. Yikes! Hopefully she's able to live in soft pants because she's a size 2 and that has to be rough.
We paid up for our PGS testing today which is also a yikes! But it'll be worth it in the end.
My nurse will not commit to any timeline on my FET, so I'm stewing a bit.
AFM...update...we may actually decide to do an in house donor. The possibility of having multiple frosties after a fresh transfer is just too big of deal to me. And our clinic does your second (FET) for FREE if the first fresh transfer doesn't result in a live birth. So...yeah.
We need to make our decision this weekend because AF should be arriving next week and I'll start my 'mock' cycle. It would stop after day 15 lining check if we do in house, if we go with MEB I'll have to press on with PIO and an endo biopsy...ugh....

I go here now.
Had our donor embie psych evaluation. As long as all goes well on the donor end, our 8 beautiful blasts will be headed to us on a cross country road trip early next month ❤️
I also gave this site to the clinician at my office today as a resource for families looking for support while going through TPR, so let's liven the place up a bit

4furrypaws, having a bank of frosties always makes me feel secure, especially since we want 2-3. Does your clinic have a large in house selection? My clinic has a large database and it's still like trying to win an eBay auction; donors go very fast.
NariaDreaming, welcome and congrats on the donated embryos. What is the process for the donors? Did you both need to get attorneys?
My donor is up to 39 follicles/20 measurable and an e2 of 3600-something, so we're officially on standby since she's too far away to drive my H's sperm from home. I really just want to zone out until the PGS results are in.

Since it's being run thru my clinic's donor program, no lawyers necessary

Oh lol, the weekend nurse called in the 30 seconds I walked away from my phone to grab my milkshake at dinner.
She literally left me a Donald Trump message: "oh wow, okay, your donor's ovaries are active. They are SO ACTIVE and it's just great. We can't even see all of the follicles anymore there is so much going on in there. And that E2! Well I guess she'll trigger tomorrow, maybe Monday? Yeah one of those days."
How do these nurses not realize we want numbers to obsess over?

Our donor triggered last night with 34 visible, big follicles! My H's showtime is in a mere 7 hours.
Aaand I am wide awake and feeling anxious AF. Our last donor produced 41 eggs split between us and another couple, and only 3/41 made it to blast with neither of us having lasting success. If this cycle could not be a total dud like the last one, that would be great.

Okay! We have 3 overachieving hatched blasts frozen and the biopsies are being sent off today to be tested.
If I could change one thing, I would pay the extra money to be the only recipient. 3 is good but with my history, I need like 10 frozen to feel secure.
