I think I've had a healthy appetite this entire pregnancy but ever since I entered that lovely third trimester my hunger is out of control!
Tonight for example, I made a box of Kraft Mac and cheese for dinner which barely filled me up, so then I proceeded to have a whole box of mozzarella sticks dipped in a bowl of sour cream. And now I have a sweet tooth! So let's hear it ladies...how's your third trimester hunger?
Cornflakegirl you are about to be "clogged" up with all that cheesiness!! Lol I definitely think I'm getting hungrier- I never feel satisfied. Start of my 27th week today so I'm not quite there in my 3rd tri yet.
Mine has actually subsided a bit. The past few weeks my 2nd tri appetite kicked into high gear. Nothing made me full. I couldn't get enough food... Which prob explained the 20lb weight gain in 8 weeks.
This past week my appetite is finally back to normal. And my cravings have subsided a bit too!! I'm hoping I can keep the rest of my weight gain under control the next 12 weeks.

But I just can't get enough of all that cheesiness mlbrooks!
I'm only 25 weeks but the last three weeks I've been like this. I only have a little control because I have to report my b/s numbers once a week but I'm still overeating. I mostly crave a giant bowl of cereal before I'm even done eating a meal. It's torture because I can't have it! I've also put on more weight the last couple weeks than the rest of my pregnancy combined.
I am not in 3rd yet... But I feel so starving I can barely even handle making food without dying of starvation and then five bites in im so full I feel like I'm going to explode. No fun.
My hunger just started and I'm not 25w yet. I did eat a box of Reese's puffs in 3 days. I'm eating a lb of strawberries a day. Breakfast was just a pack of grits, now it's that with a bowl of cereal, strawberries, and a spoon full of peanut butter. Sometime I throw in a few cheddar cheese cubes.
My appetite has been pretty normal ever since it came back after the horrible first try no-appetite moment. But in the past couple of weeks I've noticed my appetite increase. It hasn't gotten out of control, but I can tell it's more and so I'm trying to be really conscious of eating healthy things when I want healthy things so when I have binge-on-the-junk-food moments it won't result in too much weight gain.

The fact that I am not the only one who dips their mozzarella sticks in sour cream make me happy. DH looks at me like I'm crazy and its not a weird pregnancy thing, I've always done it.

It's definitely not a pregnancy thing. I've always done this, DH could never understand why. I'm so happy that next time he looks at me like I'm crazy for doing this I can tell him, see I'm not the only one!

OMG they are sooooo good. I prob eat a small bowl just about every day. I just do instant because it's quick and easy but I add cheese and a pinch of salt, but the water has to be boiling. I like the cooked better if they are cooked properly but it takes to long for me.
If you like polenta you will like grits. They are really basically the same thing just cooked different. I love them both! I like to make polenta instead of noodles for my meatballs and spaghetti. Then I take the leftovers and let it cool and slice it up spread pesto and chopped olives and parmesan cheese and grill.

My heart wants to eat like this but my heartburn makes it impossible.
Same here! I want to keep eating but I know I'll regret it. I'm trying to eat smaller meals more frequently, it doesn't always work out with my schedule.

I get hungry, take a few bites and feel like I'm going to rip right open, I have zero room for food + baby. Red Robin for dinner was 5 fries and 4 bites of salad and I could barely move I was so full. Then baby kicks and I wanna cry it's so tight!

I feel like a bottomless pit most days...and have a crazy sweet tooth that I'm not used to having. Like I said somewhere yesterday, I was begging the Kindergarteners at my school to let me have a brownie off of their lunch plate "because the baby wanted it." It's a problem. Luckily my kids are smart and kept their brownies for themselves!
My appetite has also noticeably increased in the last few days, and I'm not quite in 3d tri yet!
Last night, DH and I watched the movie Chef on Netflix, and I made him go out and get me a Cubano sandwich at 9pm... (we actually paused the movie for this). Of course, I regretted this decision that night re: the heartburn/thirst/peeing "sleep" cycle.

Do they have those in the movie? I've been wanting to watch that too but now I feel like I should preemptively get a Cuban or else I'll end up doing what you did!
I'm not to third tri either but I find myself getting really hungry but then filling up really fast. I ate less than half my pasta and chicken last night and it was super light with a garlic olive oil sauce. It was just too much. I eat half of about everything. But I do eat fairly often. It's usually small snacks but that seems to help.
Not in my third trimester yet but here I get 3 meals and 4 snacks. I eat them all and never turn down the turkey sandwich at 10 PM. My husband also brings me snacks.
How is the food?! I've been meaning to ask you. I always wonder about the food when people are on extended stays. Are you getting lots of snacks brought in by visitors?
I'm hungry all the time but at meals find it hard to eat everything. So I'm trying to snack more during the day. I feel like I'm always snacking on something.
I thought I already replied to this but I think PB ate it.
Anyways...This is one of my biggest fears! I'm not in third tri yet but I'm so scared of the weight gain that happens in this trimester. So far, hunger has been a easily managed (I get full quickly) but frequent visitor.

@blackpearl08 and bwisco123 have you tried papaya enzymes? They are chewable little capsules that I swear by to get rid heartburn
lolasky that movie was so good!!! DH is such a foodie that he loves putting on those types of movies while I read pregnancy books at night and it can be torture! "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" was soooo good and really fueled my avocado sushi addiction!
These days I feel like Chris Farley in that old SNL skit with Adam Sandler and David Spade, where they are dressed up as girls. Chris says emphatically: "LAY OFF ME, IM STARVING"
