Baby boy is 1 month old today. I'll find out on Friday how much he has grown. His face and belly have filled out, he is definitely longer but he still has such incredibly skinny chicken legs.
I've been DF for a little over a week and DS is notably less fussy and gassy. I was also DF while EP for DD so it's something I expected to do. At here are so many plant-based milks and Ibuse nutritional yeast as a cheese substitute in cooking but there is no viable substitute for gelato.
hannahbear. Is there a Whole Foods near you? I would buy a special fish or vegetarian Rosh Hashona dish. Seems kind of inconsiderate of the hostess since it's not a big deal to roast a piece of salmon while making brisket. I am fortunate that SML is do accommodating to DH being gluten free, SIL being a vegetarian and I'm now dairy free.

I thought it was odd! I may just do that, good call!
Are you spending the holiday with SIL etc? That's a lot of food needs to accommodate!!

hannahbear, yes, we are having Rosh Hashona dinner with SMIL and FIL. SIL will bring a vegetarian dish, most likely a spaghetti squash with roasted veggies. It's not hard to accommodate gluten free. DH just won't eat the challah or honey cake.

I will read everyone's posts soon, but haven't gotten to yet. Need to vent about non-baby stuff.
God, the property manager for the rental we live in is terrible. I get so angry at him at least once a month. I really want to buy a house next and not renew our lease.
There have been so many little issues here...basically every appliance has needed to be repaired or replaced then he takes forever to get it addressed and we have had issues with the driveway being uneven so it scrapes the bottom of our cars. The HOA was already going to do repairs on driveways (I saw in the monthly newsletter) so I knew it was important to get my PM to get this house on the list...but he has been so bad at communicating with them. And the HOA told me I can't contact them, just the PM. Sorry, I know this may not make sense and I'm rambling but I'm so frustrated.

At the ER because M was wheezing. I think he's ok but I knew if we didn't go in I would be up all night making sure he was breathing. Send good thoughts.

This is a long shot, but is anyone on the board in California and has done the SDI benefits/Paid Family Leave, and if so can you private message me?
For those who have been helping me with my pumping woes - I also wanted to report back from visiting the store that specializes in pumps and breastfeeding - apparently a lot of people have been complaining that the Medela Pump in Style Advanced pumps they're getting from insurance are awful! It might not be user error on my part - the pump might just be a crappy pump since other people are reporting this! Interesting...

All is well, thank goodness. They think he may be coming down with a cold but his lungs are clear and they are not worried about his breathing. And the eye goop is just a blocked tear duct.
H is sick so I feel like we'll all have colds soon.
I feel a little idiotic for dragging my entire family to the ER for nothing.
shanny that's annoying about the PM. The in level driveway and not communication with HOA is frustrating for you but probably for the wonders if they find out it's not done. And HOA can be PITA..like for this why can't they just add you to the list (it's not like owners are being billed, usually the dues pay for these repairs).
frodabaggins oh no, really? I've been renting a hospital grade pump because we had a lot of difficulty the first while, but I have the PISA for when I return this one. So what did you end up doing? Still going to use that one, or get something else? I've been seeing a lot of people use Spectra. I'm really hoping to not need to outright buy a new one!
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)
frodabaggins I have the PISA and have not had any problems. Remind me of the issue you're having with it?
I also have not had any problems with my PISA.
I have new PISA and it works fine. I've also used a hospital grade pump (when LO was in the NICU for 24 hrs) and didn't see much of a difference besides being able to pump for a shorter amount of time.

hrushkajoyremylove1011hannahbear it might just be in our area - and the lady said it was only in the past year or so. But due to the number of complaints they're thinking the most recent crop of PISAs given out by insurance might be crappy.
The issue I'm having is that it just doesn't seem to be effective, no matter how much I fiddle with the settings, no matter what time of day I try, I'm only getting this piddly little amount. And I know I have great supply. Trying to hydrate more!
