How are you all today? It has been absolutely pouring for 24 hours and isn't expected to totally stop until ....Sunday. Roads are closed and power is out in parts of my area.

Hopefully you don't lose power. It's raining here too, but not pouring. Thankfully DD is at daycare..as rain keeps up indoors or at least I'm not ready to go someplace with 2 by myself just yet.
Happy Thursday! I survived my first night away from LO and gosh I miss him. He stayed with my aunt last night because I had a 3am flight. I can't wait to get home to him tonight.
Also, I'm pumping and dumping all day due to a lack of proper storage solutions. This feels so wrong.
As much as I want to hude indoors all day it's not an option. We have a very busy day planned. Pedi appt this a.m., Costco run, pick up DS1 from school early and go back to pedi for him, then allergy shot pn the other side of town. I am already exhausted.

dc2london I hope all the pediatrician appointments go well!
By the time we got back from the hospital, fed both babies, and pumped it was 3am. Thankfully there were no wakeups until 7 so we got 4 hours but boy am I tired. Fortunately the new babysitter is here for 9 hours today so I'm hoping to get a nap in. And I think I'm going to call extenuating circumstances and allow myself a second cup of coffee today if needed.
I didn't think to pump before we went to the hospital so by the time we left my entire shirt was soaked. Thank goodness it was dark plaid so it wasn't obvious. This morning I woke up painfully engorged and soaked right through my breast pads.
It's poured yesterday and I had to load all 3 girls in the van outside because DH was working on stuff in the garage. It was awful, so DH cleared it out for me. It's supposed to rain the next 3 days here too.
DD1 and I made cupcakes last night for my mom's birthday so I'm trying (unsuccessfully) to not eat a million cupcakes..

We don't have power, and the estimate tells me it won't be back till this afternoon. If there was ever and incentive to crawl back into bed, this is it.

Sometimes when I'm nursing baby girl and walking around the house I'll put my leg up (for instance on the kitchen counter) to support her bum while I do something with my free hand. My kiddo will say, "Mommy climbing?" It's pretty cute!

We had a transformer blow near the house at 5 a.m. and wake 4 of the 5 of us last night. Then a random huge thunder clap an hour later. DH got next to no sleep between it all.
DD3 had been randomly back to great sleep last night until 6 a.m., at least. No rhyme or reason to it I can find. She was super gassy and overtired when she fell asleep.
ETA: we still had power when I left for the girls to play at my parents' today.

DD is 5 weeks today and I haven't left her yet. MH does not understand at all. Yesterday we went to take my car in for a recall and we were figuring out driving there and going to the store after. MH said to me "well I guess you're going to drive my car since I put her in there and you're going to freak out if your separated from her". I was beyond pissed at him. He was referring to when I went to an allergy doctor appt a week after she was born and he proposed taking her with him to get food while I went in... I may have gotten really upset with him/cried. Yesterday just made me really mad at him.
Me (30) MH (32) Dx: MFI (low all the things) M. 10/11. TTC Since 01/14 IUI#1-3(Letrozole + Trigger) = BFN Second Opinion. Changed RE's. IVF 09/15 Long Lupron 12R/9M/8F, Transferred 1=BFN. 4 frosties. FET #1 12/15 Transferred 1 (3 still on ice)

dc2london good gosh your day is busy! Hope it's still raining when j get to VA next week:) I love fall rain and weather and can't wait for real fall.
@suesposa throwing away milk makes me all kinds of sad. I went to the Middle East for a week when nursing with each of my boys and would literally throw bottles and bottles of milk away because I pumped like crazy to not drop my supply. Still makes me sad:(
I got up early today and got a ton done so far! going to treat myself to a fancy coffee as a reward:)
1 month appointment for the nugget was this morning. She's great - up to 8 lbs, 4 oz! Grow, little bean!
Pediatrician was saddened to hear that I was pumping 6x plus a day for a measly 6 oz. She recommended a hospital grade pump and to cut down to three times a day. So, a Medela Symphony is in my future. I'm perfectly happy to pump less and maintain two bottles a day of breastmilk. So, we'll see!

TTMA swaddle sacks. Until this week we were using swaddleme pods, which zip up. They were easy to put on and the babies slept great. But they grew out of them and I don't know what to do now! We tried the swaddleme original swaddled but we are not fans of them. The velcro is annoying and hard to put in right when they are wiggling, and more importantly there is no bottom zipper so you have to take the entire thing off for a diaper change. And M already figured out how to get an arm out.
What do you use and like? Babies are around 10 lb right now.

Random, but I saw the spectre was on Groupon this morning.

I'm having a major FWP. Pottery barn no longer makes the matching stocking we need to order for the baby. Maybe it will show up on the website later in the season.

If LO has a semi common name, check eBay. There's a ton of them from past seasons that are already monogrammed.

We have our first play date today! The mom went to school with H and I don't know her well but she is sweet. She has a 4yo and a newborn exactly 2 weeks older than the twins. I'm excited to have another mommy friend!
coffeequeen14 it is the worst. I never even thought about my supply dropping, I was more worried about boulder boobs. Granny feeds me oatmeal for breakfast every morning and I have been getting engorged sooner than normal.
And you make me wanna visit the middle east now. I still need to turn in LO's passport application. Next week for sure.
Best pumping airport story:
Going through airport security in s middle eastern country with a breast pump. They asked me in English what it was and i was so worried to say the word breast I just kinda stared at the guy asking me. He then asked if I spoke english😳 I said yes and stammered. He asked if it was a breathing device. I just yes it's a medical device and the let me through. I was so nervous! My coworker thought it was hilarious.
