I need more footie pajamas for Ridley. We always just kept her in onesies, but last night was the first chilly night and getting up this morning she definitely needed more. We had like 4 pair of 6-9 mo ones, but I've tried two on her and they're both pretty small. Then we have three more that are 6-9 mo that look huge. Girl is like Goldie Locks over here with her pj's.
I want to go to Vancouver and go to the resale shop, but I don't think Blake will go for it today. Plus I still feel like shit. Oh, and I think I'm getting an ear infection on top of everything else. I haven't had an ear infection in like 5 years. I was really hoping that would be my last. Ugh. Hopefully my body beats it down before it gets bad, but my neck is already red, so I'm doubting it.
On the up side, though, I think we had the shortest sleep regression ever and are already done with it. She's been sleeping 4 hour stretches and last night she slept a 7 hour stretch! Which was impressive given how much she was whimpering in her sleep. I even moved her over to the other side of me to feed her, but she just calmed down and went back to a deep sleep. Never even woke up.
I still haven't woken h up. He said to wake him up at 10, but I decided to be nice since R slept in to let him sleep through her first wake up and nap. I'll wake him up when she wakes up. Hopefully that extra 90 minutes or so makes a difference. He's so whiney when he's tired. But I'm glad they were able to finish the game. I know he was really wanting to do that. He needed it.
He's such a social person, but he doesn't recognize it enough. I'm glad his friend came over. Since moving out here he doesn't hang out with friends as much and I think it makes his depression worse. He needs people and my need to not be around people usually wins out. Oops.
My SIL is having a Usborne Books FB party thing tonight. How do FB parties work? I mean, I need new books for Ridley anyways, may as well play along, right?
Speaking of books, Ridley's new trick is "singing" along when I read/sing her Ants Go Marching book. She can be crying/fussing and that book is like magic. I love it. I'm sure I'll grow to loathe it soon enough, but right now it's just cute to listen to her!
Well, DS1 may not be napping, but he is in his crib for his quiet time. And today he pooped for the first time ever in the potty. He has never even peed in the potty!!! so i'm happy!

That's how DS is with the snuggle puppy book. I love it!

What has gotten into my baby. After 4 months of 30-45 minute naps only, every single nap he's taken today has been at least an hour. We're going on an hour and a half right now and we really need to get groceries and dinner and everyone is still in jammies(it's rained all day) and we're running out of time. I think I'll be getting groceries by myself tomorrow night.

Yay for potty babycaps! The reason I asked how old M was is bc his sleepy behavior sounds just like a DC kiddo I have. He's 2.5 too 😆
Yay for short regression @ LED! FX it continues!
The snoris fam had a great weekend and MH has the day off tomorrow. Too bad I have DC but whatevs. It will be nice for him to rest and hang around a bit.
Hi all, been a while since I posed just I'm just going to jump in.
Def have a few books I HATE reading to DS1 but he wants them over and over. I always cave and read them because I hate the sad, disappointed look on his face when I try to refuse.
babycaps, so sorry about the lack of naps. Could not even imagine. No advice really but I hope you find a solution soon!
We are on round 2 of potty training DS1 and I have to say it is going SO much better than the first attempt when he had just turned 2. Today we didn't have a single accident! I'm anxious about DC 2 days a week and how he will do. Currently he has to take his pants all the way off and sits backwards on the potty. Not sure how that's going to work at school. Oh well, it's just 2 days.
Harrison is finally on a sleep schedule and it's working pretty well. He is such a good and easy baby. Thank the lord because I have my hands full with the toddler.
I'm having a little mommy guilt. A was sitting on my lap facing me then lost her balance and almost fell off the couch. By instinct I caught her by the arm before she fell over backwards. I felt a slight pop in her wrist and she cried a little. I'm assuming it's a coincidence or because she was startled. I hope I didn't hurt her. She was a little fussy at bedtime but she went down without too much of a protest.
What is the true definition of sleeping through the night?
I lurk other BMBs from time to time and I get jealous of all these people saying their babies are sleeping through the night. 😉
I know DS isn't the worst sleeper ever, but I also know he's not the best.
Off the top of my head it's like 6 consecutive hours or something. By that definition our LO has slept through the night a bunch. She has never slept 7 - 6:30 am though which is fine with me this time around. As a STM I give no cares about LO going all the way through. I also believe lots of people have different definitions of "sleeping through the night" so I don't compare anymore. I'm happy ( alittle tierd though lol) my baby is happy and I have no supply issues so I call it a win for now

Hugs. I'm sure she's fine but even if her wrist is hurt, it's better than a head injury so you did great.

Thanks! I needed to hear that. She didn't act like anything was bothering her this morning so I assume she's fine.
