I'm up snuggling a sleepy DS, he doesn't want to sleep in the hospital bassinet but also doesn't want to nurse. There are still 70 minutes until I can order breakfast & I can't stop thinking about French toast.
We should get to go home today and I can't wait to snuggle my older kids, sleep in my own bed, and eat my mom's cooking. 💙
What is everyone up to this weekend? For the still-pregnants, hopefully you'll be having your babies!
Haha @merryissmass I was just looking at when I could order breakfast too! And when it's appropriate to text DH to bring me Starbucks. I was sound asleep and they came to take blood at 5:45am. I think it's only because they're so full but I'm excited we got the option to go home today too!!
I'm laying in bed at the current moment listening to DS blow his lid about everything. He didn't sleep well last night. I slept like maybe an hour, my back was bothering me. A dull ache at the base of my spine. Probably from having to lay on DS's floor.
Today is my parent's town's pumpkin festival, so we will go out for that around 11.
merryrissmas I had french toast in the hospital too surprisingly the hospital coffee wasn't too shabby.
Sorry for the poor sleep unringthebell. @snuff9861 have fun at the pumpkin festival! Our town's is in a few weeks and I'm so excited! Give me all the fried food.
Good morning! Watching Star Wars with DS. He is obsessed. It just started in the last month. H showed him the three originals and now it's all he talks about lol.
My in-laws are coming up this afternoon and once again this house is a wreck. I think I just need to resign to the fact that my house is going to be trashed for a few years
We were up at 7 just like every other day. DD has only slept past 7am less than 5 times in her 20 months. At least that made me feel prepared for the newborn phase all over again. We had pancakes and coffee for breakfast and now we're off to Costco. That's our big excitement for the day. It looks like it's going to rain all day so we'll hopefully all nap then watch movies this afternoon.

Morning!
All 7 (under 8 yo) grandchildren are gathering/meeting at my IL's this afternoon! I rested last night and feeling positive.
My SIL was due with her third 6 1/2 weeks before P's due date and since she was overdue & P was early the cousins are now only 3 days apart. I can't wait to meet him!
Hi everyone! It's pouring rain here. Baby slept well which was nice. My toddler is being a handful but thankfully H took her out to breakfast. I can't believe my baby is already a week old! How did that happen ?!
Just hanging out today because it's yucky outside. We had a really long night. Mil is coming tonight to visit and my brother and his fiancé are coming tomorrow! We go apple picking with them every year and I can't wait to spend some time with them!
OMG the night sweats...I forgot about how intense these were. I wake up at every feeding completely drenched. Yuck. For those with older babies when did your night sweats stop?
Met with a lactation consultant this morning to make sure nothing crazy is going on after the tie revisions. It was reassuring and helpful since I finally learned how to get her lower lip flanged out! Poor woman had to be part therapist for me today too. We forgot to weigh her before so hopefully weight gain keeps up Monday when I go to my moms group. The LC commented that she may be in a growth spurt right now since we missed some of the earlier ones with our nursing issues.

My breakfast after giving birth was French Toast too!! It wasn't bad but wasn't the best so MH got our food from the main hospital cafeteria for the rest of our stay instead of using the L&D room service. The pancakes I had for breakfast the rest of our stay were delicious!!
I want a big breakfast so bad now. Cereal and toast just didn't cut it this morning!

Rent-a-Center has a Christmas commercial airing already! I thought I heard one from the other room earlier this week, but now I saw it while watching. No no no!!! I hate Christmas stuff this early.
LadyNymeria I don't like anything Christmas before Thanksgiving, and before Halloween is just insane! Let me have my fall holidays.
Yes!! I sound like such a Grinch every year, but I can't stand Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. It always seemed so magical when the day after Thanksgiving everything was suddenly set for Christmas. I hate that it gets earlier and earlier each year.

Nope. I was one of only 4 ladies in the post partum wing and they still woke me up to take blood and blood pressure at 5am. Save
I was so disappointed in the portion sizes of food in the hospital. I was constantly starving and they would give me like 1 pancake for breakfast or a half sandwich for lunch. I basically ordered everything on the menu so I'd get enough to feel full!
jennybeans my baked potato last night was laughable. I think I ate it in 3 bites.
We just found out her bili levels are high, so I'll technically be discharged today but stay with her for one more night. I'm getting antsy in this room.
They also think her clavicle is broken. She came out face down and I knew the doctor was pulling a lot. Poor girl. We'll find out when the x-ray comes back.

Our nurse told us to order absolutely everything we thought we wanted and to keep ordering until they told us that was enough. She kept commenting "They know this is a L&D order. You'd think they'd give you more food knowing how much energy you ladies use up!"

Oh no! The bili levels are easily treatable, but I hope there's no actual break!!

I've got this post-baby nesting thing going on. Idk if it's because I've been able to do so little around the house for the past month or what, but all of a sudden the fact that our house is so cluttered and unorganized is getting under my skin. And Pinterest doesn't help. Look up "pantry organization" and all of these beautifully organized pantries show up. I want a realistic post, thanks! Life's tough, guys

Ugh. My parents are switching from internet through Comcast to fiber optic internet so I just found out the Comcast email account I've been using for over 15 years is most likely getting shut down when they cancel their Comcast internet. I now have to switch everything and everyone to a new account. This is not going to be fun...

Other than that I'm just making a mad dash to be done on time. My family left around 1 and they where a big big help. The kitchen is damn near empty of all the beer stuff which cleared practly everything out. The living room is also mostly done even though it doesn't look like it because there are boxes everwhere. Other than that ots mostly cleaning and wiping down everything and lots of laundry to do. We're not doing anything with Js stuff until after we bomb the house tomorrow. Then we'll put his swing and stuff together.

Do they give you an option to set up permanent forwarding?

Not sure, I'll have to look into it. Just found out today because my mom emailed everyone her new email address. Even though she emails me at my Comcast account all the time, she said it never occurred to her I'd be losing mine too.
Thankfully she's offered to keep paying for Comcast internet so I can keep it long enough to get everything settled.
