Well DD has a fever (100 and that's with taking Tylenol for teeth). So that explains her clinginess. And now I hope it doesn't go higher (ie can't go to daycare) and that the baby doesn't get it.
We are back from a busy weekend visiting family. Both kids were pretty good in the car and while we were there.
I just discovered that my feet grew while pregnant. Downside to wearing only flip flops for the last 5 months is not knowing until it's too late and cold outside! My feet grew almost a whole size with ds1, this seems just a half, but enough that all my flats are super tight and uncomfortable.
Also, I am pretty sure I broke my toe after tripping and hitting a chair last night. Totally bruised, swollen, amd bent. So that hurts a lot. But all in all still a good weekend!
Did they ever go back to size or are you now 1.5 sizes higher than the glory days?
Mine swelled during my pregnancies but returned almost to size; maybe a quarter of a size bigger because some I now size up but some are the same.
Pre-kids I was a 7.5, sometimes an 8. I jumped to an 8.5 after ds1 and never went back, and those are tight now. Yesterday I bought ballet flats in a 9 that fit well. They don't seem wider (well, except for the swollen toe!). I'll still hang on to my 8.5s in case they go back! I knew I'd need bigger clothes post kids - didn't realize I'd have to replace all my shoes too!
redhead610 of all the things my kids have ruined, I never expected feet to be one of them! At least you get to treat yourself to new shoes!!!!
redhead610 I realized that sounded very mean. I don't mean your feet are ruined! I was trying to be funny but...didn't word it right and sounded bitchy. I'm sure you have lovely feet in your new ballet flats!

Haha no I didn't take it that way at all! At least I started out on the small side, so it's not like I'm walking around on water skis just yet.
I am a bit miffed about not being able to wear some nice ones I got last winter though!
joy I'm sorry. I am always a mess when my H is away. The first time I was home alone with our infant felt untenable at first. I barricaded us into my bedroom with a chair. But we made it. And yiu will too

I am a mess when H is gone overnight pre-baby. I could not imagine right now. You are so strong

Oh no, teething fevers already?
Sorry DD is my almost 2 year old. Her molars are coming in.
Ugh. Treat yourself to a fancy coffee this morning or something that will make you feel good about life.
Youve got this.
Yes, this. It's double star today so you pretty much have to go to Starbucks
This would involve leaving my house, which feels monumental right now. I wish she liked the carrier - I can't bring the stroller into small city shops. I have to keep working on it, but I don't have the energy right now.
I appreciate the encouragement from you guys, though! I'll get back to myself soon!

What carrier do you have? Can you try some others?

A Mai Tei and a K'tan. Both require her to face my chest, which is a position she reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally hates. I'm hoping that as she gets bigger, she hates it less or she learns to like the carriers more.

joy well you have both types of carriers I'd recommend trying so....hopefully she learns to like it! If she never finds carrier love, I'd try a hiking backpack when she is big enough. S2 never loved a carrier but does great in the hiking pack
