It's DH and my anniversary today. Since we still struggle ourselves with 3 kid bedtime we are not comfortable asking anyone else to do it yet. So take out at home it is!
Family life is glamorous. But I would not change it.

gratefulgirl I often reminisce about our pre-baby life and how awesome being a DINK was and all the sleep and booze and fun things we did before the three fun sponges. BUT I love our crazy life and wouldn't trade it for anything. Happy anniversary!!!
gratefulgirl Happy Anniversary! We had ours 2 weeks ago and for the same bedtime issues we went out at 3:30 pm haha...we were the only people in the place.
DS had an awful night. Did not want to sleep by himself. So we both slept in the recliner..not great but some sleep. I did notice he was calm when on his flat back (he sleeps on an incline in a bouncy seat). So going to try crib sleeping tonight. I tried it last week but he wasn't ready..so hopefully tonight hell tolerate it. DD was the same way..after a rough night she went into crib and started sleeping better at 5 weeks.
gratefulgirl Happy Anniversary! Ours is Thursday and we haven't planned anything yet.
I am really ready for DD's cold to be gone. I want her good night sleep back. I'm tempted to put her in the rock and play tonight to see if not being flat helps her from getting so congested, but I know I shouldn't since she already really prefers turning her head to the left.
Dropped DD1 off at preschool, then I took DD2&3 on a walk. We have a good routine going M-F. I'm not looking forward to going back to work in 2 weeks, although it's only 2 days a week from home so not too bad.

Maybe if you put her down and turn it to the right she'll stay that way since they turn less in the RnP?

Life twins, except I'll be back in the office for my 2 days in a month and the routine is still coming together.
I've not been around here as much lately. We've been busy and then the baby had a sleepless night when the Brangelina breakup happened, so I got sucked into lurking on the blind item Parenting thread, which was my gateway thread....
I'm having a lovely morning here--my oldest is at school, FIL took my son out to our local petting zoo (son was having behavior issues early last week, and I'm thinking they're largely from a lack of attention, so we thought that would be nice for him to get one-on-one time with someone besides his big sister). So the baby and I went to Trader Joes and for the first time since they opened here, I could walk up and down every row and just look. Then I bought all of the Pumpkin Spice everything because it's 70 degrees and sunny here.
Our yard is like a jungle at the moment. (It's SOOO neglected, and I'm not sure what's what out there. I kinda want to just burn it all down and start over, but it looked nice when we moved in.) Do you all think it would be OK to put the baby on a blanket in the shade outside while I do some work? Or would you worry about bugs? I'm on the fence about it, and feeling like there's something obvious I'm overlooking.
I'm feeling human today. Baby slept from 9 to 3 and didn't take 2 hours to go back to sleep. Now I'm trying to pack and it is not going well. I can barely keep up with our laundry so I don't know how I will manage to pack up our house.
Organizing baby girl's clothes is a full. time. job.
Tell me: We're going to christen her in November or December. It will be Lutheran (not Catholic). My mother is giving me the christening coat that was made from her wedding dress and worn by both my sister and I. It's long, satin and will cover whatever the baby is wearing underneath. Do I need to buy a christening gown? Or can I just put a cute dress on underneath?
OALD has not gotten better and R still has so much trouble getting upset often. He is probably considered colicky with the amount of crying we go through. I've met with the LC a few times and meet her again tomorrow. She says since he's 8 weeks old, the next step may be to try reducing my supply. Damned if you have over supply, damned if you have under supply.

dc2london I was thinking of you tonight as I resorted to frozen spaghetti sauce for dinner. I was all disappointed like I wonder what fabulous meal DC is making....

Happy anniversary gratefulgirl! Mine is on Saturday
Evening. I had a rough day at work. It was the first day I really felt like I couldn't hide how tired and grumpy I was from being up with the baby last night. I had a meeting with my principal and when he asked how things were going with the baby he mentioned that I hide my tiredness well so maybe it wasn't so obvious

spicysalmonroll and gratefulgirl Thanks so much for the suggestion! For some reason I was thinking mainly of mosquitos; ants didn't come to mind, but would definitely cause trouble.

S1 has made up an elaborate story about our family. Each person has magic powers and secret crystals hidden in their body that hold those powers. Baby Ms is in her throat because she has super screech power.
On a crowded bus today he told me where my magic power crystals are hidden. One is in my eye and the other is (said very loudly) "in the special hole god put in your body for baby M to come out of"
