I told DH I loved him on Valentine's Day. We had been together for 3 months. He looked at me like crazy and didn't say it back for several weeks. Lol Knowing him now, I'm not at all surprised. It takes him forever to decide how he feels about things!

Oh this one is funny. He said it first when we were snuggling in my college dorm. I said "whaaaaaaaat?" Really monotonously. I was totally freaked out. Not the response he was hoping for I'll bet. I said it back a few weeks later except I was incredibly shy and awkward about it. 😂
The "unofficial" first I LOVE YOU came from DH. We had only been dating (officially) a month or so and went to get groceries. He was leaning down to get chorizo and I said, "Oh, I LOVE Chorizo". He mindlessly said "and I love you!". It was a total Freudian slip and we both kind of blushed and just kept shopping and talking as if it had never happened. Then about a month later we were laying in bed after a particularly bad day for both of us and he just looked at me and said "I love you" and I hid under the blankets, peaked out, and said "I love you too. More than I love chorizo". It was one of my more clever moments in life!

We said I love you about a year after dating, 4 months after getting serious. We were roommates at that point and we lying on the couch when I said it first. I was super nervous about it since I had come out of a bad relationship before him. I really hadn't wanted to rush things. Luckily he said it back... and the rest is history
H said it first. We had dated for about a month before i went away to school. We had both glumly agreed to give log distance a try and we were only seeing each other. A few months after I had been away we were chatting on the phone and he said "I love you honey" which was big because he had never used a pet name either.
I said it to him first one drunken night about a month after dating. He said it a few weeks later when he found out he go accepted to Hawaii Pacific University for grad school. He wanted me to know since he would be moving away for school, but he also asked me to go with him!
babycaps our stories are very similar!! LOL how bazaar
DH said it first. We were in college and someone said we were having tacos for dinner I told dh "OH I love Tacos!" And he said "oh I love you!" I think he truly shocked himself by saying it cause when I looked at him and said "what??" his face was priceless. Later that day I told him I loved him too
My H told me first. We had our first date on June 4th, and he told me he loved me under some fireworks on July 4th. I didn't say it back.... I wasn't there yet.
I said it! We had been dating 2 months long distance. He was feeling insecure about a friendship I had with another guy. It was my fault because I unintentionally gave him the wrong idea (gave this other guy and invitation to join my brother and I at a music festival and didn't invite DH). Told him I was so sorry I gave him the wrong idea and I loved him. Then I had to reassure him like 10 times that I didn't just say it because I felt bad about the situation! He said it back right away.
