@osw we're going to have cupcakes/cake made at Christmas when we fly home to see DH's family. I thought it would be a nice way to involve them since they don't get to see us much.

We're going to have a party. I already created a Facebook event so people can block the date out. We intend for it to be a surprise for H and I too. So I think we will just have our genders put in an envelope at the AS and take that up to party city and have them fill boxes with pink/blue balloons. I think it would make for cute pictures.
I've been spiraling on food and game ideas on Pinterest.

We are probably team green this time. We found out with DD but didn't do anything special. I enjoy seeing other people's cute pictures but actually doing the set up/party/etc is NMS.
I wasn't planning on a party, but we will probably make a cute announcement or something for social media since we haven't even done a pregnancy announcement of any kind.

I am going to do the tannerite and chalk explosion. I'm trying to figure out how to keep it a secret though. I want to find out at the same time as everyone else
Nope. We are lameity lame. If I find out while my husband is away, I might tie a balloon to the door announcing the sex. He gets home super late next Monday, and I'll be asleep. Otherwise, I'll just text him when I get the phone call.
I really wanted to be team green this time but DH was not having it. Now that we're having twins I guess I'm more ok with finding out but I don't want it to be in the ultrasound room with the tech again this time around. We'll do some sort of reveal party but probably a really intimate one. Maybe even just DH and me. I'd love to see all your pictures if anyone has cute ideas!

Sex reveals are NMS, but I do enjoy seeing other ones! We haven't announced our pregnancy yet, and plan to on Halloween, which is also the date of our anatomy scan and we hope to find out then.

We plan on doing all the cliche baby things. We waited so many years for this to happen. Attended so many sex reveals and showers that's it's our turn to get to do these things. So cheesy announcement photos, Halloween costumes, parties...were doing it all.

Sex reveals aren't really our style and we probably won't announce widely until after the AS in November. I do enjoy seeing other people's reveals, though.
We still haven't even decided if we will be team green or not! But ya, sex reveals aren't really our style either. If we find out if will just be in the room with the tech.
It's weird, with my first, I wanted to know as soon as possible, I could barely stand the anticipation. This time I'm kind of indifferent - lol! First pregnancy vs second I guess?
I'm still not sure whether we will be team green, but definitely no reveal for us if we do find out. With DD we were team green and I would like to be again, but DH would like to find out. So it's just a matter of whether I let him have his way or convince him to let me have mine.

If we were doing a reveal, I would do a chalk explosion! They're my favorite and make for beautiful photos...
We aren't doing a party but I do plan on doing two balloons (one for each baby) to a target and have my bf, who loves to hunt, shoot them with his bow and have either blue or pink powder explode from them...saw on pinterest lol and put on fb

We already know it's a girl because we did genetic testing on our embryos because of my history of losses. We told our family that we don't know yet, but we do. We've only told our parents/ siblings about the pregnancy so far. I think we will tell extended family and friends after the NT scan and we might just say it's a girl then. I might take a cute picture with my daughter and send it to family.

I'm totally excited for it. I'm almost thinking I need to hire two photographers lol.

Tell the tech to write it down on a card and not tell you. Pass the card to the person filling the chalk and walk away so you don't see but tell them to give you back the card so you can confirm after

I think we'll be team green again. All the family members are chomping at to but for us to find out, but the surprise of it all helped me get through labor with DD.
Kind of related question: the OB called today and gave me results from my Verify bloodwork from last week (all is well), but the nurse said the test couldn't determine the sex of twins. In the message she said to call back if I wanted to know the sex of the babies. ?? Thoughts?

I think they can only tell the sex of one because they can't separate each babies DNA from each other.

My understanding with twins is they can't always give the sex of each. They can say there's no boy DNA found so it's 2 girls or they found boy DNA so there's at least one boy but they couldn't say if it's boy/boy or boy/girl
