I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!

Add me to the my body aches I'm so exhausted and last night was the worst in a while. I might have gotten 2 consecutive hours of sleep. The rest of the night was spend trying to give him his paci and feeding and burping. And even after I brought him in bed with me he was still not content. Usually he loves my bed and falls asleep right away. I'm looking forward to our overnight hotel/pool adventure with the kids tonight but I'm praying I can get a nap before they get out of school and we leave. It's only 1 night, so I just don't want to be grumpy and moody and ruin it for everyone

LaBellaVida, nice stroller. I like the blue one, or black.
Giving DS1 chocolate in the MOTN was a bad idea because when he woke up this morning, he sat in his bed yelling, "Mommy, I need chocolate!" Me too, kid.

Anyone else's kid rather have their binkie than eat?? Sometimes when I try and bf lo she eats for just a few minutes then screams and screams but is perfectly content to suck her bink.

I went back to bowling in my league last night. It was great. I did a lot better than I expected. I pumped a little before we left so we had something to hold Jude over. He ate his little 2oz bottle and fell asleep around 10:30. We left him in his carseat when we got home and he didn't wake up until 4. It was glorious. Almost tempted to see if it works again tonight, but don't want to start that habit..

People on my fb are starting to upload pictures of their tax return purchases. I am amused. And I judge. I think "that's the dumbest thing, why would you spend money on that." Esp. My friends who just bought guns. Yes. ...plural. Guns! With ammo, and they have them displayed in their living room. They've got kids. 8, 6, 4, and 1. Hard core judging. Esp after their 4 year old got a hold of one, one time and pointed it at his dad.

I have had a raging migraine for the past 12 hours... Then my Dh and DD1 slid off the road and got stuck in a snow bank on the way to preschool. Today can be over now.

LaBellaVida my cousin did the same thing. She's having a baby in a few weeks. This is her 3rd under 4. Her last baby just turned a year. They tossed all the stuff they had from that baby to buy all new things for this baby. I guess saving up to move out of her parents house isn't a priority. Cause I know they love the fact that they're housing a family of almost five in their 2 bedroom home.

Oh my gosh, that is so stupid. I haven't seen any posts related to tax returns. I'd be judging too. I believe everyone has a right to their guns, but I pray they're responsible and keep them away from their kids. But we don't have guns. They creep both dh and I out. Even though he's been shooting and hunting before. I will never be that mom in Wal-Mart whose 2 year old shoots her in the head. Horrible. They said she was so responsible too.

Since DH is now back at work, I get to take LO on our first solo outing today. I also finished my moby wrap last night that I was making and I'm more than a little excited to test it out. DS loved being in it last night as I walked around the house.

Going to try to get out of house today. Going to Target. It's 45 mins away hoping LO is ok in car seat and inside store.... Wondering here I will nurse? Wishing all stores had a mothers areas for this.
Oh please tell me I'm reading this right... At 5 weeks and now 4 days (started at 5w2d) this constantly wanting to be held is just a phase? I thought maybe we were at the beginning of forming a very bad habit.
I highly recommend The Wonder Weeks. I had it when DS was a baby and it was so helpful for us to know what the heck was going on. I am re-reading it with the LO too. I think we were much more confident in our decisions because of it. I would also recommend Brain Rules for Baby which is all about enrichment and parenting as well.
It's already come in handy and I've had it less than 24 hours. I'm getting more and more convinced that we hit #1 a little early since he came late. Kid is currently sleeping in the moby wrap so I can do things other than hold him all day. He's rejecting FI's attempts to soothe him or cuddle and I need my hands to do things, like type here
I've been up every two hours feeding and dh comes in to complain that ds,1 woke him at 4 am and wouldn't go back to sleep. I'm sorry but I can't really feel bad for him, its not like I get great sleep. I also probably woke ds 1 up when I had to deal with a diaper and spit up at 4. And I never took my pain medication because I was too tired, I have a feeling todays going to be a rough day.
Is anyone still over on the dump? I saw someone posted to find out where we all went...
I saw and told here where she could find a link to here. I'm done PMing people the link. It's been posted on so many other boards. There's no reason anyone can't lurk and find it

I generally think any post about a purchase is tacky on FB (unless it's like a PSA because you got a really good deal on something), but guns - that's horrible. I have managed to weed out (unfollow) most of my FB friends who post that kind of shit because it made me really ragey, and I figured the stress wasn't good for me when I was pregnant.
My first stretch of sleep was 11:15-5 and then 6 - it's 9:30 and he's still sleeping. This is what happens when your 5 week old is awake ALL day. He took 1 4 hour nap yesterday and that was it. He was awake from 9am-11pm.

I actually went out and got the book she's talking about yesterday to see what it's all about.
I knew to expect growth spurts and cluster feedings but he isn't nursing anymore than normal. and I can even get him to sleep in his bassinet at night. It's just during the day, all day long he is cranky and won't nap unless in my arms. But thank you for the link. It will be very helpful on predicting the next grumpy phase!

Do people still honestly post what they bought with their tax returns? If so I need to start posting receipts from the bills I paid. (Sarcasm) after all bills house, medical, propane, and kids got what they needed (stocked up on diapers, few new clothes and toys and money in savings) I bought a new gun. But it's also in a locked gun cabinet with the key hidden in a spot they cannot reach. But I agree posting them and buying multiple and not putting priorities first is ridiculous.
Note to self, bf the last feeding of the night or else you will wake up in huge engorgment pain and have to wake up L from a beautiful 4.5 hour stretch of sleep.
I only feed one side at a time but before bed at my last feeding I pump the other side. Otherwise I'm so engorged when he wakes up.

That is good idea! I always wake up with one side super engorged and hadn't even thought of pumping before bed.
I took all 3 kids out on my own for the first time today. It went really well. helps a lot that the older 2 can get in and out of the vehicle by themselves and they follow directions for the most part.
