Ugh...I've lost 25lbs since Z was born (still have 20 until I hit pre preg weight) and I thought maybe I'd try my regular jeans on (I wore them with a hair tie and belly band until I was 8 months). I assumed they would fit. HA! HA! Muffin top is an understatement! Now I know what a busted can of biscuits feels like. The worst part is now I want cinnamon rolls! Damn my lack of self control!
Side note: the fire pit is looking pretty bad ass. H is never going to let me live this down.

LaBellaVida, I like the teal or red. Probably the teal best. Not too hot in the summer and hopefully it will hide dirt and so forth more than a lighter color.
Anyone else's kid rather have their binkie than eat?? Sometimes when I try and bf lo she eats for just a few minutes then screams and screams but is perfectly content to suck her bink.
Yes! My son was that way. And he had gained weight way too fast as well. We kind of figured out with the pedi that my fast let down was the issue. He could only nurse for 6 minutes or so before he was full, but that wasn't satisfying his sucking needs. He would fuss so much when I tried to nurse him more because the flow was just too much and he wasn't really hungry anymore. Happier baby and mom once I figured that out.

DS is one week old today! He's doing a great job being alive.
DH is in charge of our toddler at night and in the morning, so I get to sleep in with the baby. It's awesome and I'm not looking forward to next week when DH goes back to work and I have to be up by 6am every day.
Apparently I still snore like a man. I wish that would stop.
I got my hair cut. It was so nice to get away for an hour.
Last random for now. I'm down 20 pounds since giving birth! I'm guessing the easy weight is gone now. Last time I had so much fluid retention from the IVs during labor it took longer to lose any weight, so I'm happy with these first 20 pounds.

I finally get both boys down for a nap! I feel like a rock star. Then I look at the clock and I've got 30 min to pull myself together, load the car, and wake the boys back up. F*ck.
(I've gotta pick my oldest up and drop him off at the airport. )
I don't change DS2 out of a onesie if he just spits up on it unless it's a lot or if we're going somewhere. Is that bad?
I don't either. And sometimes it is bad and I'll wait a few if I'm busy or I know we will be going out shortly. If I didn't do this we would go through about 10 outfits a day! ...No thanks

That sounds exactly like her. 5-6 minutes into some of the feeds she is just screaming. I have a really fast letdown too. We're constantly spraying each other and she chokes on it. She also gained weight really well. Up 5oz above birth weight at her two week checkup.
Spur of the moment last night we decided to cancel cable. Hope we don't miss it.
We haven't had cable in 2 years and the first month was the hardest. I would highly recommend an antenna so you at least get local channels. We found the being able to watch the news in the morning or put on pbs(cartoons) for the kiddo was nice. Sometimes Netflix or Prime just isn't enough.
I honestly don't miss it anymore. When we visit family and their tv is on and just blaring noise I remember how much I hate cable. Having only 10 channels is almost a relief

We haven't had it in about 5. Started out when we were both in grad school and couldn't justify the cost and waste of time but now we are used to it. I hope L doesn't resent us too much when he's a teenager and we still don't have it.

DH is at home watching baby girl and I got out if the house to pick us up some dinner. It feels nice to be baby free for a little bit. I got to crank up my music as loud as it goes, roll the windows down and race some punks off red lights haha. I'm feeling good

Ugh we've talked about doing this for like 2 months. I feel like so often we scan through every channel and settle on something we don't even like just to have something to watch. But now that I'm at home alone all day for 6 more weeks, I think I would lose it without something to watch besides Netflix.
I've recently fallen in love with all the HGtv shows. Flip or flop and property brothers are pretty great! And like 5 others that I can't remember the names. Its soothing during the day.
My body aches... It feels like I have mastitis, minus the most obvious part of my boobs hurting and a fever. I literally feel sick, but have nothing to blame it on. Is anyone else feeling this way? Could it just be from being tired?

Im currently nursing baby in my drivers seat parked at Food4Less... my least favorite store. Speaking of nursing... I hate how it feels. It makes me feel really fucking fat. If he's nursing on my right boob, there are tingles all up and down the right side of my body and if anything touches that side while I am nursing (loose pants or the rocking chair arm), it makes me feel even more disgusting. Does anyone else have that? It happens on the left boob as well. I cannot stand it. Also, he slept with me last night, so only woke up like one time to eat and now, today, he needs to eat every 10 minutes- hence why I am feeding him in a parking lot because he was screaming.

I felt like this with aches and chills and it was a uti. I think being on antibiotics all week is what saved me from getting mastitis since I have a clogged duct. You could have a uti without pain too. I did an azo home test to confirm and then called the doc to get antibiotics.
We have had 2 nursing sessions today last 45 minutes. And a few feedings have only been an hour and a half apart. I now know what a growth spurt feels like. My boobs are getting sore

Well we had our first date night. I didn't bring my pump... Big mistake. Should have had it to pump on the way to the movies from dinner. I had to manually express into the toilet before the movie. I felt very wasteful.
50 shades was terrible. The terrible acting made it worse than the books.
ILs watched LO... He drank 9 oz of breast milk in 4 hours (everything we had in the fridge) and he was swaddled in a cheater-swaddle when we got home, but only had on a diaper under it. Am I the only one that leaves their baby in a onesie before swaddling them?
I also had/am now having a big freak out about not having enough pumped milk on hand for when I go back to work in 2 weeks, based on tonight's appetite.

I leave clothes on under the swaddle. And did they maybe over feed him? I've given a few bottles of my own milk just to see how much he takes at each feeding and how soon he is ready for the next bottle. If you pump at work as often as you feed at home you should have enough!

I'm another person who leaves the baby clothed under the swaddle. My house is cold though and I've been known to double swaddle just to keep baby warm. I know it's a SIDS riske to have the baby too warm at night, but my babies have both hated to be cold.
My hair was looking really nice today because I got it cut. I was going to try to keep it that way tomorrow, but just woke up for our first feeding sweaty with crazy hair. Bummer.
