Hope the sleep continued!
DD3 did great until a ton of sleep crying starting at 4. The gas is real here. I am going to double down on an MSPI diet. Thank goodness for Paleo, those recipes have saved me on every special diet so far.

Visiting northern Virginia. We went to Wegmans yesterday and then slept with the windows open last night. Glorious!
DD doesn't love the cold air and unfortunately got out of her swaddle last night so she woke up an extra time. At least we got one long stretch from 10-3!
My family is going to some museums today but DD and j are going to hang out just us girls:)
gratefulgirl I'm thinking of trying to eliminate milk and soy. DD seems so uncomfortable/in pain in the early morning so I figure it's worth a shot. How long did it take to see a difference?

Just a few days. I am not 100% sold that this is the fix because she still has awful mucous poop, but the rash got really bad after soy, so it seems like the most obvious candidate. My pedi says you can know by trying the diet for 2 weeks, but will likely see improvement faster.
FWIW my oldest had a tough time from 4-6 and was not MSPI. She was just alert/overtired and a bad burper.

I suspect it may just be that, but I feel like I have to try everything just in case. I also want to ask the pedi next week about reflux since she will calm down and sleep if I hold her upright and both DH and I had it as babies. I feel bad for her that she doesn't feel good every morning.
I jinxed myself yesterday. There were 4 wakeup between midnight and 6am and projectile spit up at 3am. After 5 hours of sleep, I'm working on some very strong coffee. DS had two more bottles after the big spit up and kept them down, but his bottle just now came back up. He's otherwise acting fine.

Our pedi said the go to recommendation for mild reflux is elimination of diary.

pttomato - I am kind of a broken record on this, but have you also ruled out tongue and lip tie? My older two had both ties (DD3 is borderline but LCs have said not bad enough to clip) that definitely contributed to their issues.

She's been checked several times for tongue and lip tie in the process of trying to figure out why breastfeeding still hurts for me and she doesn't have either and she sticks her tongue out a lot.

I've been having major waves of nausea the last couple days. I just told DH that if he knocked me up again I'm performing the vasectomy myself lol. I do not want 3u3. I think DD1 and I have some kinda bug though cause she hasn't been feeling too great either.

When DD1 was 9 weeks we had friends over for dinner. Mid-meal I excused myself because I had to be sick. I was that sleep deprived. DH had to play it off, "Either gratefulgirl is tired...or she's pregnant again." Yeah, definitely was just tired. So awkward.
pttomato I hope the new diet helps. The trial and error approach is so hard when you just want to find a solution to help your baby be more comfortable.
As DS becomes more alert and is more demanding of my time, I'm finding myself mourning the time I usually get to play/hangout with my girls. I know as he gets older he'll get interactive and we can all play and we'll find our groove. It's just hard right now to always tell the girls to wait a minute or mommy can't right now, etc. We still have time, it's just less. I'm grateful they have each other as it doesn't seem to phase them. Just my good old friend, mom guilt, showing up again.
I guess one upside to severe infertility is .0000001 chance of pregnancy. Now that our family is complete I don't have to use BC or worry about unplanned pregnancy.
Sorry to everyone whose baby is suffering from digestive issues. Soy is found in so many products that you have to read labels very carefully. gratefulgirl, I don't know if we're strictly paleo, but more what I would label clean eating, with a bare minimum of processed foods. I eliminated dairy since DS was very gassy and uncomfortable and it seems to be working now. I must say I still do miss my gelato.
We are taking DS in his first plane ride tomorrow evening when we go to Chicago so my family can meet DS and to attend my niece's baptism. I have come to terms with the fact that my mother won't fly to AZ so if we want any contact we have to come east. I am trying to have a positive attitude but it bothers me the way my mother is so involved with my sister's children, is marginally interested in my brother'/ two sons and shows minimal interest in my two.

I'm sorry that sucks. My grandparents were like this, they watched my cousins every day but never once visited us. It really hurt my dad.
pttomato , Such overt favoritism does suck. I am a different religion from the rest of my family. When my father was alive he vowed he would never attend any Jewish milestone event and he kept his word. It's complicated (as are all family relationships) because my sister and oldest niece lived with my parents for a while when she was going through an ugly divorce. She now lives in an apartment owned by her new husband's family and cares for her children 2 days a week when my sister works. Fortunately L and N have very devoted and adoring grandparents in my FIL and SMIL and her entire family:

Good morning. I picked up a couple canvas prints that i ordered through costco - some of our newborn/family pictures for DH'S bday. They came out great!
Last night we fed Ds2 at 8:45. He fell asleep by 9:30. He woke us up with his grunts at around 4 but was still asleep...and woke up at 7:45. Unbelievable. I kept checking on him to make sure he was okay. We are headed to his 2 month visit now - I can't wait to find out how big he is because he seems huge now!

Mom guilt is an evil bitch. It shows up daily here too.
So I never used to bite my nails or cuticles. But now my hands are a mess! It's become my go to stress management. Worried about the baby? Pick your skin! Worried about not doing enough around the house? Bite your nails!
Ugh it's awful. I've got to stop!! Maybe when baby is sleeping I will polish my nails in an attempt to make them look pretty and stop picking.

I peel the skin around my nails too. Ever since college, you can tell if I'm stressed by looking at my hands. Even though I don't actually feel stressed right now, I've been doing it a lot. It's the worst when I can't do normal things like zip DD's sweatshirt because my fingers hurt. Hopefully nail polish will help you stop!
I can't wait to have sex after my six week appointment next week (yup), but am terrified of getting pregnant. IUD + condom + infertility and I'm still nervous.
I read that Tori Spelling ended up pregnant with #4 when her #3 was six weeks. My stomach dropped at the thought.
