And re: toddler pillows. I bought one for DS1 but he quickly preferred a real pillow. The toddler ones are so tiny. But now I have the issue of him peeing on the real one, so it's been thrown out. I need to find an adult sized one that is completely machine washable.

Can you get a cover for it? I used to have allergy covers on my pillows & mattress because of a dust mite allergy. I don't think they were really waterproof, but it might be better than nothing, and if you look there might be other covers that are waterproof.

lindsay, I used psi bands and they are a little thinner than the sea bands, but still noticeable. They helped me though.
We haven't given much thought to a toddler pillow. She usually sleeps on her belly and seems fine without it. She also moves so much that I feel like it would just be another accessory in her crib... Like her blanket.

We leave for Florida in 4 weeks and I'm starting to freak out about sleep. We are going with MIL and FIL... They have an old people home down there in one of the retirement communities and it's a 1br. With 2 pull out couches. They said we can have the bedroom, but DD doesn't sleep well with us. She thinks it's party time. It takes her forever to fall asleep, then anytime she wakes up and realizes she's still in bed with us, she gets super happy and fully wakes up. Repeat process. It just doesn't sound fun at all. We aren't planning on taking the PnP because we are flying allegiant and they overcharge for everything, so I don't wanna pay $60 to check it, especially since it's only 3 nights. I have such anxiety over her sleep.

Allegiant checks all baby stuff for free. Just take the PnP and check it at the counter with your bags. We've done it before and I was skeptical bc I couldn't find anything online that specifically said no charge for PnP, but it was free.

babylove518, make sure you weigh your suitcase before you go. On Allegiant the limit is 40 lbs, instead of 50 like every other airline. And it's a $50 fee if you go over. We've made that mistake a few times.
PSA : Kroger is having their one day sale on Halloween candy today. $1.88 per bag and you can use coupons. There's a $1 digital coupon on their site and there's coupons for Mars brand in the circulars that you can use. I just loaded up on skittles, starburst, 3 musketeers, all kinds of m&ms, laffy taffy, etc...
we're being *that* house this year and passing out things that aren't candy, fruit snacks, mini playdough, tattoos, and glow bracelets
They had all the non candy stuff on sale too but not sure if it will be marked down further. They had like little off brand tubs of playdough 10 for $2.50

I bought an 80pack of Play-Doh at Costco for like 14.99 in August. Eta: I have everything except the fruit snacks
I told my H about the Kroger sale and he bought 8 bags of candy. Hope we get a lot of TOT-ers this year!
I just got home from Kroger. I had already bought candy for the T o T's (we get none at the apartment but I take it to my friends house since we get the kids together every year), so I got four bags at Kroger for myself. Not sorry.

We just FaceTimed DH and it's the first time all week we've been able to do it where DS is still awake. We weren't on for more than 30 seconds before DS burst into tears. All I can think of is that he misses DH. My heart broke for both of them. And DH is already so fed up with work that this might push him over.

Aww. I'm sorry. That's tough. Do you guys use FaceTime a lot? Was there a chance DS was just confused? Hope your H is coming home soon.

We FaceTime all the time with H and with my parents. DS knows how to dial DH on FT by himself. I really think he just misses him. H isn't supposed to be traveling like this, but well, shit's a mess so he has to. This is the third week in a row that he's only home on Sunday.

Oh, that really stinks. We go through phases too of the boys missing H. Finally started telling DS1 that daddy was "on an airplane" and trying to make it really exciting. Works sometimes. Hopefully things get back on track soon and your H can start being home more!

I don't know how you do it. I hate that H is gone so much. I'm usually totally ok being away from family, but now H never being here either has me feeling pretty lonely.
