I know we did one of these awhile ago, but now that our babies are getting a bit older (getting close to 6 months for some 😱), I figured we could look into this again.
Natural chemical pregnancy 8/2013 Clomid #1 and #2: BFN IVF 1 :0 to use IVF 2:4 great embryos after PGS testing. FET 1: BFP EDD 6/20/15 Chemical Pregnancy FET 2: BFP EDD 11/14/2015 MMC 9.5 weeks twins IVF #3: 2 fair embryos after PGS testing Surprise BFP during break cycle and DD born 4/2016
DS plays with whatever is at daycare or DD throws his way if we're home. We're not really pushing the toys with him. I'm probably stunting his development, but he seems happy and content.

Step and play piano is awesome, we got ours for $25 second hand two years ago. I don't mind the space because it has literally been played with every day.
Blocks are a hit right now. Then anything he can pick up and put in his mouth.
He loves anything he can chew on, especially if it's soft. He's not a fan of the hard plastic "baby toys" like rattles and the toys on the plastic rings that hang. He does really like anything that lights up and plays music. He loves this jungle one. I forgot what brand it is but he likes it! It talks and plays music and makes animal sounds. And lights up. And there's a dancing monkey that you can control with a little joystick lol He also loves watching his brother, scooting himself all over, and just hanging out outside.
R is still playing with the same old toys she's been playing with since the beginning. We haven't gotten her new toys yet. I'm sure she's ready for some change, though, now that she can grab better and is starting to get into teething territory. Definitely stalking this thread for ideas!
Right now we give him a variety of real objects (no plastics) that are safe for him to handle/mouth. Fabrics, books, a wooden ring, crochet rattle, a spoon, a stemless gourd. He loves a bell I picked up from the Christmas aisle (yep, already) at our craft store. It's shiny and big and jingles. Anyway, the more variety the better for us. We prefer everyday items as opposed to typical toys.
Since DS is only two years older we never really put away his baby toys. Right now she's playing with his old rattles and some stuffed animals. She also likes the exersaucer. She's still enjoying the baby gym (thanks nerdykitten for the suggestion of crossing the bars!) and the giraffe rattle.
We haven't really brought out any new toys besides the exersaucer ( which she loves) and the jumper ( not long enough to use yet) We still love our baby gyms, lamaze glow rattle and Lamaze Emily doll. She has been more interest in the Infinito Activity Triangle latley when I put it in front of her.
I have started making a list of possible Xmas items for her since it's harder this time around as a second child of the same sex. So far the possible items are 1) Zany Zoo Activity Cube ( wanted one for DD1 just never got it) 2) laugh and learn puppy 3) little people Farm House 4) vetch crawl and move ball ( ours broke ). I am also picking up a Little Tykes Garden Play Center I found used locally. I'm hoping it's in as good as shale as pictured.

Isla still loves her feet. Those are toys at the moment.....and for teething apparently. She likes this little green O-ball thing that was a hand me down. She also likes this little B shaker rattly toy that we bought at a local baby boutique. She likes her squishy blocks too. She loved her rainbow hedgehog as well - she likes to eat his nose, Its adorable. Her ultimate favorite though is her Rally Monkey. He is the Angels baseball team rally mascot and she thinks this thing is great. We have the funniest video of her slobbering on its face and "yelling" at it. It was actually her little friends monkey and we were at a game. Of coarse daddy promptly went to go buy her a rally monkey of her own. Our cat Buttercup too......the cat has become a squeeze toy and doesn't care, although Im TRYING to teach her no grabbing the cat. The damn cat seeks it out though......lol.

After I read this I gave DS a rubber spatula to play with and all he did was hit himself in the face with it repeatedly lol
Some of our favorite toys for DD1 were the classic FP toys that have been around forever ( probably a reason why they've been around) our favorite was probably the shape sorter box of blocks. We got it around 5 months. Great when the are learning to put things into something. Great when learning how to dump things out.you can stack the little blocks and we were still using it with our 2 year old while she was learning shapes. Best 7 $7.99 ever lol

I think I have that! Haven't gotten it out yet. The perks of a meet up he baby party when DS was 2 months old is I got a lot of toys and bigger baby things
teraiin, I like the vtech toys but they have some of the most annoying sound effects. We have a vtech activity walker that I never put batteries in because I hated all of the other vtech toys' sound effects so much. FP stuff is pretty annoying too. For light up/battery powered toys, I like Baby Einstein the best.
