Speaking of, I'm downstairs on the western side of the house and the kids are asleep upstairs on the east side. The stupid neighbor dog is barking so loudly I can hear it over the baby monitor! I'd complain, but someone (maybe all of them?) are moving out next door, so this problem might take care of itself if the dog owner is the one leaving.
Thanks for thinking of us! She was released this afternoon. No further vomiting episodes, x-rays clear. No idea what the actual problem was, but better safe than sorry. As long as she gets back to her regularly scheduled pooping, we should be in the clear!

It's my birthday tomorrow and I really wanted to go apple picking this weekend but we are trying to be better about our spending. So I took yesterday off and I've been trying to potty train DD. It's been rough.
On the upside I took the swing down and DS has actually been napping in his crib today. Success there!
Cannot recommend the book "Oh Crap" enough. Took a week and stuck to the plan and then after that just went undies for DC. Keep waiting for some kind of backlash but 4 months in I think we're good!
Enjoyed the chiro and visit to the in laws. A friend gave us 4 garbage bags full of barely worn boys clothes up to size 2T! At first I didn't think that was a lot. But baby clothes are small. You can fit a LOT of clothes in 4 garbage bags. I'm talking 5 stuffed laundry loads worth. It's bananas. The clothes are beautiful too!
Having hand me downs is so nice because you usually don't need to buy basics! If certain things don't work for you you can donate with no guilt also.
M is the first girl after 10 boys in a row on MHs side so we get a lot of gifts but not a lot of practical things (think all the tutus and all the glitter). It's a bit weird after 2.5 years of ALL the boy hand me downs. We reuse what we can from DS and just found out a friend is going to give us all her girl stuff after finding out baby #3 is a boy.
Does anyone know much about Sling? I saw an ad that said for 20 bucks a month you can get access to hgtv (and like 15-20 other channels). Since hgtv is what I miss most about cable I was wondering if it's worth it or what it's like lol
Yes, we have this at our house. It's 20 bucks for the main package and 5 dollars for an additional sets of channels such as sports or cartoons. We added a cartoon package for DD which includes Disney, Disney Jr, Nick and Nick Toons, Cartoon Network and Boonerang. It's really the only thing we use on our Roku plus Amazon Prime. I think it is sufficient for our TV needs but I don't really watch a lot of television. HGTV was the main one I wanted. It also includes Lifetime, TBS, AMC, ABC Family and several others. We also have a antennae so we get local channels. It was a good compromise between me and my TV watching hubby when we decided to cut cable.

Thanks! We recently got an Amazon Fire Tv (after debating about getting a roku) and Sling was one of the the little ad slips that came in the box. H rolled his eyes because he's not a big hgtv fan. Lol
snoris - other people have said it but I would keep all the hand me downs you got except ones that you don't like or are stained. If all your going to do with the excess is donate them, you can donate them after baby I grows out of the size. Better to have on hand in my opinion. Plus you are running a daycare, you can keep some on hand for when your students clothes get yucky and the parents forgot to leave a change of clothes ( or the kid is having a crappy day and has already used what the parents left) I am personally mad at myself because I purged all of the winter 0-3 stuff before DD2 was born ( may baby would t use them) -and then my SIL got preggo with an October due date. She could have had some really cute sweaters and warmer clothes!
Cam has some bumps around his mouth on his face. He hasn't had a fever at all but with all the illness we've had in paranoid. He slept more than normal this weekend and I don't feel like he's eaten as much as normal but that's an abstract thing since he only nurses on the weekends. I also feel like he's spitting up more but I can tell it's not "vomit." Am I just being paranoid or should I put in a call to the nurse line?
The good thing about baby clothes - especially hand me downs - is that they don't spoil. If you end up not using them, you just pass them down to the next person - and unless you have moths or flooding or something unusual, they're still the exact same condition. And someone will always take them off your hands.
🙄 okay ooookaaayyy you ladies win! MH and I just pulled out all of the rejected clothes and we are going back through and keeping all the nice outfits we can make. I still can't keep EVERYTHING because storage, but we could stand to keep a little bit more.
P.S. MH always asks me now "did you get flamed for that"? So he thought it was funny I got flamed for over purging 😂
aaemommy, to me that looks like he had a lot of drool and maybe a toy that irritated his skin. I would wait till tomorrow before putting in a call unless he doesn't seem like himself. Doesn't quite look like impetigo, but more of an irritant rash.

Ok this has been recommended a few times now. I'm going to have to get it!
I'm trapped next to a sleeping/eating baby and I can't stop crying because I'm so happy. I never ever thought I would actually get to have a baby and to be this in love is just amazing. She's so perfect.

We just spent the weekend with my nephews who are 5 and 8. I love them and they are sweet kids for the most part but DS takes away the worst parts of them from our visits. They are super physical with each other and the 8 year old has ADHD and oppositional defiance disorder. I think my SIL is so used to them beating each other up and generally not listening that she doesn't realize what an impact it has on my 2.5 year old. DS only ever gets in trouble at daycare after we visit with them... Probably just going to warn his teachers tomorrow morning😒
Good news! My daycare page has had the best response/likes/shares/comments this weekends since I've advertised as certified!! I have an interview tomorrow morning and have had a few other people put their infants on my waiting list. Which currently has 10!!!! Infants on it. Argh.

Any tips for a baby who pretty much always wakes up and screams?
DS usually stirs, whines, and the pretty much scream cries. I'd like him to get better at self soothing at least a little bit but he pretty much is at an 11 whenever he wakes up. Due to his weight I don't want to not nurse him.
But like for an example I put him down at 7:30, drowsy but awake. He woke up screaming at 8. He had nursed at 7:30. I offered at 8 just in case and he wasn't hungry and didn't really nurse. I eventually rocked him back to drowsy but awake and now he's sleeping again.
😕 teraiin if it's just mild stirring/fussing/getting comfy we let it go, sometimes he soothes himself back to sleep. I nurse him at first cry. Often he's not hungry but comfort nurses and is back to sleep in a minute or two.
