So baby no 2 is due in Feb and still DH and I are nowhere with names. Team green right now.
*poof* (PDQ)
I'm looking for names that fits in with our names, a sibling name that doesn't feel out of place. We have trouble agreeing on girl names especially though. We had a boy's name picked out the week we found out we where pregnant the first time and went to the hospital without a single girl's name. Thank goodness he was a boy! (He was named after DH's grandfather who has passed away and practically every man in his family has a version of his middle name as first or middle name, and we both wanted to continue that.)
But with girl's name he likes names like Jessica and Amanda, names that were popular when we were growing up. I just don't think those names "fit" with our family, if that makes sense. If it's a girl, I'd like to honor my grandma but her name Jud.ith, isn't really one I like (no offense grandma).

What about a biblical or ancient name that was used in the 80s like Rachel or Rebecca? I think Julia could honor your mother and sounds as elegant as your son.

I need more to go on. What Nana do you like? Do you like Jessica and Amanda? I don't see them as "not fitting" with rest of the family.
(Although we ask have "pilgrim" names and I was still going to use Bianca if my second had been a girl)
I would use Judith as a middle name. I don't like either of the names we used for our sons' middle names, but honoring or fathers was more important.
As far as names I like, I prefer non trendy names and names that are real. It's really popular in my area to misspell and create names and that bugs me. And I would like to avoid the top 50 unless it's an awesome name.
billyhorrible it's not that I dislike those names, more of I knew so many people with he names he suggests. Not that I need super unique names, but I just put too much association between people and names.
I think Jessica would go well with your son's name. It definitely had a sharp peak in the 80s, but has been hanging around in terms of popularity. But having known a lot of people with that name growing up, I can see not liking it for that reason.
You could middle name Judith for your grandmother on a girl or use Judah for a boy.
Girl suggestions: Natalie Elizabeth Corrine Miriam Claire Jillian Hannah
Boys: George Edmund Phillip Jonathan William Louis Mathias Seth Jesse
