I was an idiot last night and stayed up too late, then had to get up with the babies as soon as I laid down... so I ended up with less than 4 hours of sleep and I feel like a zombie! I'm so mad at myself.
My mom and stepdad came to visit for a night. I wish they could have stayed longer. Watching my mom interact with DS and making him smile and squeal was the best.
DS seems to be normalizing his sleep. He's consistently down to 2 wakeups now, which is awesome because now I'm able to get 3-4 hour stretches of sleep at a time. That means H and I only have to get up once each when we share weekend nights.

I am definitely guilty of doing this too. Hopefully you are able to sneak in a nap today.

I'm usually more responsible but the debate got me all revved up... so then I stayed up to watch some post debate analysis. And then H was catching up on the Eagles game and it was super close in the 4th quarter, so I stayed up to watch the end of the game with him (which was just terrible... we were about to win when Ryan Matthews fumbled and gave the ball back to the Lions!) And then I still had to finish putting away the laundry and pump. So by the time I was finally ready for bed M was waking up to eat so I stayed up to feed him... and suddenly it was 4am!
The babysitter just told me that they are cancelling Sesame Street and it will only be available on HBO. I'm slightly heartbroken that my children will miss out on Sesame Street... it was such a wonderful show!

DD watches Sesame Street on YouTube. She loves it!

PBS still airs old episodes and HBO will air the new ones on PBS after a year I think?

DD does not sleep. I feel like you all have such great sleepers, and we are still up every hour. I've pretty much resorted to cosleeping but it still isn't a cure all.

Our public library has tons of Sesame Street DVDs, maybe yours does too!

I wonder if E's increased fussiness and sleeplessness is because he's hungry. We experimented this week (at the ped's suggestion) with only nursing. Previously he was nursing and then getting a small 15 ml bottle of pumped milk. I wonder if that could make the difference. I think I'll go weigh him today to see where things are at from last week.
bocaburger I went to an event for DH's job yesterday at a place near the eagles stadium and it's an eagles themed event. When that happened it was like a sea of sad faces.
DD sleeps swaddled in her crib at night. She can now roll on her side while swaddled, so I guess it's time to stop. After I saw that in the MOTN, I swaddled her with one arm out to try to transition and she slept ok, so maybe it won't be too bad.
DD1 had school pictures at preschool today. She looked so grown up, it made me so emotional. My hormones are an absolute mess right and now I cry over everything! I need them to level out because it's making me crazy.

DD3 is doing the distracted nursing thing. I basically am having to tank her up using multiple feedings in a given hour to get a good stretch after. It is exhausting and I hope she starts eating full feeds again soon. Once she is distracted nothing I do will get her to finish. DD1 did this around this time too.

I definitely do not have a great sleeper, so I can commiserate! Hugs and hoping it gets better for both of us SOON.
In other news, I emailed my boss this morning to officially ask to work from home 3 days a week. I'm supposed to go back to work 4 weeks from today, and it was time for me to ask. DH and I decided long ago that we will not put DS in daycare, so I'm really hoping my boss agrees to my plan, otherwise I think we'll be moving to somewhere more affordable. Keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed...

So we went to the ped to weigh the little guy. Same exact weight as last week. Bah! At least he didn't lose any. Spoke to a nurse and came up with a new plan to try for a few days: squeeze in an extra feeding by waking him to feed every 2 hours during the day (let him sleep as long as he wants at night) and add small bottles of milk after the evening feedings. Apparently those few extra ounces made a difference! I'm annoyed that the feeding experiment didn't exactly work, but oh well. I'll give this a go for a while. Next check is on Thursday.

Rough day over here. Ds2 started grunting at 4:30 am and didn't stop. Usually if he's hungry he completely freaks out screaming, and with this he stays asleep. He's been doing it the past few nights. He's been such a grumpy mess all day, not really napping and just screaming non stop. 7pm when dh gets home cannot come fast enough.
