Enjoying a quiet house. Got diaper laundry started and soaking in the tub. Being on my feet all day is wreaking havoc on my sciatic nerve. I need to get a Drs note saying I have to have water and probably a weight restriction soon.
Ugh I'm sorry lady. The phlebotomist yesterday was giving me tips on how to pass the one hour so I don't have to do the 3 hour because OSW + Needles = Not good.
Anyone have the intuition of the genders and are right? I may sound crazy but with the first two pregnancies it was right and this time I'm hoping it's not lol
I recently got rehired at work after our funding got reinstated. Previously I worked all nights and weekend nights. Because our childcare options changed, when I had my rehiring interview with our regional manager I stated I wouldn't have overnight and evening care for my son as my DH is on shift work out of town. so I only wanted days. They told me that was no issues and they'd only schedule my overnights on nights he was in town because I'd have to do 2 at least every 2 weeks.
Well my schedule has been changed to all afternoon, evening and overnights. I've stated if my DH is not in town I will not be able to work as I have no childcare. I've already put DS in extr days at daycare because I was on day shift and now I'm paying for daycare when I shouldn't need it and changing it is a massive hassle.
If they don't change back to days, would you quit? We can survive on my DHs pay alone but it's nice having extra money. Or would you attempt to fight with the most intimidating boss you'd could ever imagine?

nic1231 with DD I was one of the only people that was convinced I was having a girl. Lol. I was right. This time I "think" I'm having a boy. So we shall see.
Fun fact. My dad is like a legit baby whisperer. He's gotten the gender correct on every single pregnant woman he's ever met.
ourcrazynavylife glad I'm not the only one haha. My mom had the same feeling about my first two.
Loss mentioned below
Don't get me wrong, I want healthy babies but I have a feeling it's both boys and makes me a tinge sad. My first was a girl, she passed at a day old. I have my son who is wonderful but I wish I could still get my little girl experience.
lilmonk I would bring it up. Let them know you can't work the shifts that they are scheduling you. And if they are not willing to work with you, take some time off and find a holiday job. Because those hours are hard to fill and because you have worked them before, they are more likely to walk all over you because those are tough shifts to fill.

I was right both times, but I've recently heard lots of anecdotes of women who were sure about their baby's sex and were wrong. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I felt G was a girl, and she was, but I also have girlfriends who swore their babies were one sex, only to be surprised by the other!

rowe, I don't remember if you have a boy or a girl, but any recommendations on where to get good toddler shoes? I want to get DD some new cute boots to wear for family pics this Sunday but don't have time to shop online at Carter's like I normally do.
Sorry, I missed this earlier! I'm Canadian and most of the places I shop are local to me, but if you're in the US, you guys have soooo much more choice! My favorite brands for kids are Natives, Vans and I just bought her a pair of Doc Martens that I am in love with! When I'm in the US, I love Nordstrom's (we have one here now, but it's not as good). It's pricier, but they have the cutest shoes. I wish Carter's sold shoes up here! We get a very limited selection of their shoes.

lilmonk, I would definitely fight it. Especially if you are able to get by on DH's salary, you are in a much better position to not let yourself be pushed around like that.
