No appointments this week, next one on 10/24, pretty sure it'll be a glucose test that week. Yuck!
I am starting to definitely look pregnant, at least I think.
I found out that my placenta is anterior which means that the placenta is up against the front of my uterus and acts like a cusion or pillow for the babe, so I may not feel real movement for a while still, some say they never feel it, huge bummer.
I've been feeling some strain around my lower abdominal muscles occasionally when I walk or stand. Dr says it's normal but it was a bit unexpected.
My grandpa has been in the hospital since Friday. I saw him Friday, but since no one knows what he is sick with, no one thinks it is safe for me to visit until further notice. I am having my aunt ask a Dr/Nurse tonight if it would be safe for me to visit.
My feet are still swelling from time to time, but drinking water has helped.

rikkiandjulie such a bummer about maybe not being able to feel your baby! I didn't even know that was possible! I hope your grandpa is ok and that you get to safely visit him!
AFM I finally feel like I'm in my first trimester in that I'm queasy most of the time, super exhausted, most food sounds gross, and it is just taking everything in my power to do what I need to do every day. Super fun lol.
I'll be 8 weeks Friday (yay 2 whole months) and I'm also having my small surgery Friday so I'm kind of anxious about that. I'm glad to get it over with but I'm dreading everything about it. I'm praying the scars on my forehead will heal well!
First mw appointment next Monday and I'm going to ask for another u/s next week too (just to make sure everything is ok after the surgery). What happened at your first mw/ob appointment? Just talking or physical exam too?

Have a great week everyone!
My first exam was about 1.5 hours. The first 45 minutes was with the nurse. Lots of talking and questions with the nurse, scheduling all future appointments, discussion about the Harmony test, and a long long Q&A. After that we went to the room to meet with the Dr. She was super friendly, and I asked her my long list of questions - vitamins, exercise, common symptoms, heartburn, etc. I didn't get an ultrasound or a Doppler at this appointment (11 weeks) mostly bc I had one at 6wks, and they don't like to do unnecessary ultrasounds, and it was too early for a Doppler to find anything. If you haven't had an ultrasound yet, I am sure you will

Thanks rikkiandjulie!! Yeah I had an u/s last week with my RE but I'm going to ask for another next week. I think it will be at a different time though. I just didn't know if there are any other physical checks that they do (breast exam/pap etc).

Oh they may do a pap, if you haven't had one in the last two years, or if it was abnormal last time.
13w2d here. Almost done the 1st trimester!! Had my NT ultrasound last week, but had to come back again this week because the baby likes to face the back and they weren't able to get a good measurement of the skin on the back on the neck. So they got it yesterday. So I got to see our little guy twice in one week! That was fun.
I'm finally feeling like a normal human being again. Although I do feel sick off and on after eating. I'm trying to get more exercise in now that I don't feel like poop all day long. I gained too much in the first tri, so I need to be careful moving forward. Diabetes runs on my moms side of the family, and I don't want it! Maybe TMI... But when will we be able to poop again?? Like seriously!!! I am happy that I no long need the Prometrium anymore.
