I managed to rock her to sleep, but she refused to nurse again. And I haven't showered today, so there goes that theory. Ugh. I wish I knew what caused these refusals. It's so frustrating and I'm sure she's just as frustrated by it as I am. It makes me sad for her. I know she must be hungry.
This is going to sound really weird and it's probably all in my head but when DS refuses I hand express a few drops so there's some bm on my nipple and I rub a tiny bit on his lips and then he seems to latch and eat. Not always but sometimes. Like I said it could all be in my head and I just feel like I'm helping him haha
I did the same thing when she was little, but this is different. It's not that she just won't latch, as soon as I get my boob near her face she starts screaming and turning away. When I try loading her down in position she starts crying. I've tried feeding her in every position possible. Sometimes after blake takes her and makes her really happy a weird position will work, but not always.
My mom suggested Tylenol. That maybe it's her ears or teeth. Apparently my brother used to do something similar before he got his tubes. I dunt know. I dunt really want to just giver her Tylenol if I can avoid it, but if it keeps up and I'm out of options I just might.
I just realized it's Wednesday and my cleaning lady/home care worker/whatever she's called lady is coming today!!! My place is so trashed I don't even know where to start. So glad to have her help. I am so thankful to have this service. It really takes off so much pressure to try and get chores done when I could otherwise be relaxing or enjoying time with Ridley.

Oh that's so sad 😢
Yeah DS will usually at least latch (sometime only for like .2 seconds). A few times I've had to sit him up on the couch and lean over in front of him for him to nurse. Really awkward.
I don't lame you for not wanting to use Tylenol unless you need to.

My babies have been replaced with screaming mimis. I am thinking Laurel's issue is teething cause she just started chewing on her hand like a crazy lady on Sunday and since then nothing makes her happy. Should I try giving her tylenol? I don't like giving meds if it isn't warranted, but I am at a loss on what to do.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.

I'd try a cold, wet rag, cold teething toys, etc... if not of that helps, Tylenol is probably warranted. Poor girl! I hope something helps!

When you're at a loss and have a suspicion it might help, I would give it. If nothing else is working it can't hurt to try.

As I was walking out the door this morning, I got a text from daycare saying a water line broke in the street and they were urging parents to pick up kids. Now they've officially closed for the day. It was also a day off for local schools and DS1 was supposed to go to daycare all day. It's been super fun juggling two kids while trying to from home. They baby slept this morning and woke up right before a conference call, then pooped in the middle of it. I'm feeding him and taking a mental break now! He's 5 months old today!

I don't know how you could work from home. I can't even fold laundry with both of them around. lol
I had to double check the calendar because I couldn't remember what day it is. I blame combo of Monday holiday and baby brain.
Omg, I have a head cold and over the weekend someone asked me if G had a middle name...I was like....yes, he does have a middle name....and luckily my sister was there and said what it is. I honestly had the biggest mommy brain moment and completely blanked on my kid's middle name.
DD was on a really high dose of two antiseizure drugs. Since this summer, we cut back one by 2ml/day (<15% reduction), and the second by 4 pills a day (50% reduction). We got back her lab work, and we're still waiting on the results of the first, but somehow the titration levels of the second medication are actually HIGHER than they were a year ago at twice the amount and weighing 5 lbs less.

At my massage on Monday, the lady asked if I'd had an epidural.. to which I gladly responded "yes!".. and then like a freak a few minutes later was like, no wait, I only REALLY, REALLY wanted an epidural.
I've also told people that DS and my dad have the same middle name... his middle name is my dad's FIRST name.
Well, i got her to eat by holding her in a slightly awkward position and she fell asleep there. So now I'm stuck. Plus I have to pee. Ugh. Did not think this through.

Glad she ate but I hate getting stuck in strange positions. Sometimes I get some wicked cricks in my back because I'd rather tough it out than interrupt a much needed nap lol

I've done the same thing. Luckily since this was a mini milk coma after a nap it didn't last very long!
Ds is taking his afternoon nap in his room. This is huge. Usually he naps on me or in the pnp. But now that he's older I'm trying rally hard to work on consistency in hopes that we sort of get back to a new normal.

"Normal" yeah right 😜😂
good luck!
15 mins so far! If he can do at least 45 minutes I will be pleased since it was 45 more than what he had been doing down here haha
Speaking of pnps I asked my mil about a crib/rnp for the hotel when we go to SILs wedding. (Mil booked the rooms)
She got all excited telling me how we each got one of those rooms with a seperate sitting area and a pull out sofa bed, fridge, microwave etc. I finally was like "yeah what about a crib though? Do I need to pack the pack in play?"
She told me she hadn't thought to ask them about that but we did t have room to pack the Pnp so we'd have to "figure something out" h goes "that's easy, we just won't go"
I feel like Ridley eats so often during the day. If she's not feed every two hours she gets really upset. But now her nap schedule send to be changing and not lining up with when she needs to eat. I've not been able to reliably nurse her to sleep in a few days now. I hate when things change and ruin a good routine. Hopefully we can figure out a new one soon. This crying and rocking to sleep thing is getting old.
