Congrats mikaela20. Lucky you to have another look at your LO! I had the same thing with my placental placement with DS. It did end up moving later on in the pregnancy. (same as @amc25)
Whenever our NP tries to use the Doppler, the baby flips away from her so our u/s may be interesting. DH has to sit in the waiting room until they finish the measurements so I'd hate for him to be left waiting for like an hour.
Lol cosmicav I am dying at the 2 pics. Clearly the baby flipped between the head shot and toe shot... Or is extremely flexible.
The baby flipped like 6 times--this kid is a dancer lol, but there was a moment when the toes were casually resting on their forehead so it's really a little of both.

Thats amazing. Im so happy you had such a great a/s!
my A/S was great. we have another one in 4 weeks at the MFM because they weren't able to get all of the pics they needed. babies were not cooperating - ie no profile pics and baby B refused to show genitals.

I'm sorry I can't keep track. Are you team green? If not do you now know one baby's sex but not the other?! That seems so suspenseful to me!
we know baby A's sex (at least 90% certain) and we have a "maybe" on baby B. so hopefully we'll have a more certain determination in 4 weeks and then I'll share.
Th a/s went well, and this bébé has loads of chill. DS was a super wiggler but not this little one. We had to poke and prod to get all the pictures. No profile shots but we got a good face one:
Also, we're team PINK! I'm still in shock, I really thought this baby was a boy. Lol We're excited though and even went on a little shopping spree.
callmeKD congrats on a good scan. Sorry the babes wernt cooperating for the pics. Hopefully next time they get what they need. I can't wait hear what team you're on!
Just got done with our appointment, it went mostly ok. He wiggled around at first but then stuck himself in an awkward possition so they couldn't get all his heart pictures.
Combined with the lack of pictures, DHs heart history and the 5 calcium deposits they found on the baby's heart (3 on one side, 2 on the other) we are seeing a specialist tomorrow for more pictures. We don't really know what the meaning of the calcium deposits is, hopefully the specialist can give us more info tomorrow.
Im sorry youve been left nervously hanging with that information Quinstar. I have no experience with calcium deposits but I hope the specialist has answers and good news for you.
Just got done with the ultrasound with the specialist. He was very low key, he really didnt think the spots were going to be a problem. Unless they start to interfere with the valves of the heart (which they arent), there isnt really a concern, but he does want to look at them in a month just to he sure. Since they were on both sides of the heart and pretty bright.
These spots are a marker for some trisomies, but a rare marker. The Dr said he wished they didnt even have to bring it up, its so distant. Since we have no other markers and our genetic screening was clear, its not even a concern.
Glad to have some answers, and we're pretty reassured now. The little boy was rolled into a ball at first! Then he wouldnt stop wiggling, he was not very cooperative haha.
Thank you everyone, for keeping us in your thoughts
