Good morning! I hope everyone is well rested (unlike me) and starting the day off great.
Music class here today and hopefully some naps. DD has been soooooo grumpy the last few days so I hope things are better. She cries every time I put her down to play. She is working on new skills so I know she is frustrated but dang.

I was irrationally grumpy when DS woke up this morning. Like seriously kid sleep more. Then I looked at the time. 8:15 that's not an unfair time to wake up.
Ds1 woke up at 6:20 today. I think he heard H leave for work. He played in his room for an hour while lo continued to sleep despite the noise he was making.
It's cold and rainy here today. I'm bored, I want to go out but there isn't much to do indoors around here and I don't feel like driving to the mall(40 mins away).

Last night MH came home from class and told me that he got locked out of my work laptop that I let him borrow because he entered the wrong password too many times. That little innocent thing was enough to push me over the edge and I spent the next hour crying it out. I hate crying but I think I needed the release. Now to figure out how to unlock my computer so I can get some work done.
There is part of a movie being filmed across from my in laws at the end of the month. They are blowing up bales of hay and using my in-laws property to park equipment and a food tent. James Franco is in it sooo I'm going to be hanging around my in laws all day long.
How young is too young to bring lo to story hour? Lol he enjoys stories but I know he'd get nothing from the craft and he obviously can't eat the snack. I just can't wait to bring him!
Omg gahorseygal I would freak. When will you POAS?
I am not wanting to be pregnant right now and I really think I'm done having kids so yeah.
I really hope it's just nausea from adjusting my medication but I haven't been good about taking the pill consistently so there is always that possibility.

At our larger branches they have a 0 to 2 years storytime. However when I ran storytime at one of the smaller branches it was birth through kindergarten, though I never turned away an older sibling if they wanted to come with. It was just expected if the kiddo got fussy the caregiver takes them out of the room. We also had multiple stations, usually including a sensory one that was safe for babies since crafting isn't always an option for them.

Ours is super small. Technically it's for preschoolers but my coworker never turned anyone away. I'm just wondering if DS could handle the stimulation. I guess the easiest way would be just to try it haha

We took J to his first story time at 4 months and he did fine. Poor second baby hasn't gone yet.
FFTC: DD has never gone to story time. It's just not something that kids of working parents do in this area. Or that libraries allow kids of working parents to do in this area, since they only do them during the week. She's actually never been to a library.

ETA: Obviously DS hasn't either.
I think it's hard with working parents. I know our library has experimented with evening and weekend programs in hopes of appealing to working parents but there's never many attendees. The best we could figure is that working parents are busy enough during the day they don't have time/energy or dwire to cart their kids to the library lol

That is really unfortunate since I am pretty sure you live in or close to a city that has one of the most progressive schools in library and information science. I would have hoped they would have had an influence on the local library system about doing evening or weekend storytimes.
We haven't been able to get the triplets out the door on time for storytime yet, but it will happen one of these days.

Libraries do nothing on the weekends. Our libraries actually have worse hours on the weekends when I'd be able to take them than they do during the week. So we just don't ever bother.
Just another thing my tax dollars fund that have absolutely no benefit to me.

I'd try it! You can always leave if it goes south. DD loves watching other kids so though I doubt she would focus on the story, she would have some stimulation.

I'm ready for one of us to get knocked up! Won't be me but I'm excited for it to be someone! Lol
I almost posted a "hopefully not for a while" comment then I realized our babies are almost 6 months old already. So it's not out of the realm of possibility anymore! How did they get this old already?!?! Goodness!

Depending on how things go I think we will try tomorrow.
If it's like this morning probably not. Been up since 8:15 and have watched exactly 5 minutes of designated survivor episode 1 lol
Ridley started laughing when you tickle her as of last night and it's the best. So cute.
She had a lot of wake ups last night, but it didn't affect my sleep much as I was already awake. Extra caffeine this morning.
The weather is supposed to be really shitty today through Saturday as the effects of a typhoon reach us. So we'll see how bad this gets. Shouldn't be dangerous this far inland, luckily. Hoping for no power outages.
