We are ALL sick at my house. It's going to be a long weekend. I had to stay home from clinical because my husband was a mess when he woke up, fever, coughing, the works. And you know, men can't POSSIBLY care for children when they are ill. He is practically dying, you know 🙄.
LO looked terrible when she went down last night too- waiting to see how she is this morning since she's still asleep. My other kids were in and out all night asking for Tylenol and compresses and stuff. Mommy tired. I may treat myself to a big, sugary frappucino to get through the day.

DH bought Leo a Buzz Lightyear and Woody action figures. I told him to save it for christmas but he gave it to him yesterday. Leo is intrigued but scared. He'll ask to see them and to push the buttons but does not want them near him. DH had them sitting in Leo's chair and when Leo walked in and saw them all he kept saying was No. lol.
Taking it easy today. Lo didn't sleep great and woke up with a runny nose. We leave for an out of town wedding tomorrow (10 hour drive with a toddler. Omg.) so I'm getting laundry done (plus bleaching all the towels, sheets, etc to get rid of this eye infection bullshit once and for all.) This was lo this morning:
ourcrazynavylife have a good day at clinical! kcrus definitely treat yo self! Sorry there's so much sickness in your house. littlelion we have a couple of toys lo seemed to have a love hate relationship with. He'd pull them out to play with them but then get scared.
So, I'm done with today. It can suck a lot of nasty, dirty things. I would say TGIF tomorrow, but I'm a stay-at-home parent. There are no Fridays, it's always Monday. Every. Single. Day.
Brief synopsis of today: -Went to Target to return umbrella that did not "auto close" as advertised. Went splendidly. Went in for soup mix, and spent $30 on randomness. -Went to story time. Left after 5 minutes because someone started to cry when I demonstrated how to sit on the "button". (It's a small, circular cloth the kids are supposed to sit on) - Went to the store to buy supplies for DH's potluck tomorrow. Again, spent a lot more than originally planned. That always happens to me in a grocery store. -Get back to house to discover the cleaning people have let the dog escape, and they haven't noticed he's been missing for the last 2 hours. (#facepalm) She kept repeating "He was here watching us unload our stuff." Yes, lady, that was 2 HOURS AGO!! Have you seen him since?! No?! Well then... Grr. She drove around the block, came back, told me she didn't see him but went to her next house anyway. My mom comes over (it's LO's nap time by now and I don't want to wander the neighborhood with her cranky toes in tow.) and we discover he's a street over. He almost got hit by several cars trying to cross a busy street, someone walking their dog caught him and took him to their neighbor's house. My mom goes to get the dog. I haven't petted him since, I'm very upset. I've never owned a dog that just ran away from a perfectly good, loving home, and thank goodness he's not my dog! -LO wakes up from nap. Has been cranky all afternoon. Actually bit me on my shoulder hard enough to leave marks. -At bathtime, she puts all her toys in the basket, and then with the last one, goes and knocks everything over, then proceeds to throw a fit, crying, lying in the bathtub. Sheesh, toddlers. -Got our house inspection back. I am not at all pleased with the results. Our inspector couldn't get into the attic (the current owner conveniently blocked it) after discovering "soft spots" all over the roof. Greeeat. There are several other issues I would like addressed, but the owner seems hesitant to want to shell out a bunch of money to fix things on the house. The sewer scope discovered a broken pipe and they do not seem amused to be fixing that.
Now I'm waiting for DH to get home from the airport so I can finally hug someone, besides a giant teddy bear. Someone have a glass (or 6!) of wine for me, please!
