It's Friday! Do you have any feelings you'd like to share? How was your week? Did it go fast or slow? What do you have planned for the weekend? What are you most looking forward to doing?

Thinking of rosesquared today. Hope it all goes smoothly and your recovery is quick.
Feeling like I didn't sleep for a significant amount of time since 2:30. M was up for 1.5hrs at one point. Her sleep gets all off when we travel. That's one thing that will be nice about going home.
Feeling like this week flew by. I think our last week here is going to go quickly.
Looking forward to going out for a few runs and hikes this weekend. Celebrating my god son's first birthday on Saturday at a corn maze with cake afterwards. Buying some pumpkins and mums to decorate my parents front door. We may take M on a hayride at a farm on Sunday. Not sure what else is planned, but I'm sure is will fill up.

It was a weird week. L and I were off Monday (well, L worked in the AM while I did stuff around the house)and then we went to lunch and see a movie. I worked Tuesday, was off Wednesday, and worked Thur/Fri so while I haven't worked that much, it seems like the week went on forever. Not to mention L was out of town Tues-Thurs and the kids have developed a penchant to bicker at all times. And L came home last night exhausted and grumpy - which made me grumpy. I am ready for a weekend.
Tonight L is picking up the kids and taking them with her to get her haircut. I will meet them for dinner.
Tomorrow is a soccer game and some baking before the parent/child book club meeting in the evening. I actually finished the book before the day of the event this month! Go me!
Sunday is church, buying the supplies for their vocabulary hat parade hats, and going to see a movie.
L leaves again Monday morning for the entire week. Boo.
cetcar, I love that you are getting to do all the fun fall weather things with M!
2brides, I can't imagine having my partner out of town and having to be the primary parent for so long!
This week was interesting. We ended up taking a 7+ hour round trip car ride to have S's lip and tongue tie revised. We went there with O at nearly the same age (8 weeks). I really hope this is the answer to her lack of significant weight gain. It's been really stressful dealing with md appts every week to weigh her and the md not being happy.
Work is insane this week. It wasn't made any better that I was off yesterday unexpectedly to go the appt with S. I did get contacted by a company that I interviewed with a few months ago with another position they have open. I'm cautiously optimistic.
I'm hoping for a good weekend with the kids and M. I'm scheduled to work my 2nd job on Sunday but I don't expect to be busy. We need that $ but I would really rather spend time with my family. We would like to take O to a get a pumpkin. We will also be buying some clothes for O. We just bought her some 2T clothes, like literally a few weeks ago and now they are too small.
S is such a sweet baby. It's so nice to see a happy baby. I just love her to pieces.

Hi Everyone! Thanks so much cetcar!! I'm all done and on my way home. It was a very surreal experience because it was like real surgery only I was totally awake through it. I even had to ask for more lidocaine a couple times! They kept offering me a narcotic to take the edge off and relax me but I'm thrilled I didn't need it! I'm definitely in pain and the bandage is pulled tight to help the wound heal so it's pretty uncomfortable. I'm looking forward to getting into bed with some Chinese food lol. So yeah my weekend plans are pretty much to relax and take it easy.

It's really okay now that they are older..and I get a "break" at work. The most challenging thing is figuring out logistics of pick up/drop off/sports practices and dinner. Everyone is typically in bed by 8ish and sleeps through the night -so I get some down time at night too. And parenting is much more hands off than it was - I don't have to feed, change, bathe anyone - just remind remind remind.
It was much more of a challenge when the kids were little. I think her first week long trip was when the kids were 6m old and I was exhausted (they still weren't sleeping through the night.)

I'm in northern Alberta. We get snow by November every year... It's horrible. We had rolling blackouts for a bit there too. So far we are good for power again. Tomorrow morning Jo and I are driving 4 hours to Edmonton to pick her parents up from the airport. Hope the highways are clear!

M and I met a lady on a cruise to Hawaii that lived in Alberta. The cruise was in October and she said she was going home to snow. I was horrified. I couldn't handle any more snow then we already get. You are brave ladies!

Wow dannigirl! I'm hoping the snow stays out of Western Ontario for a while... last winter was relatively mild. Fall and the leaves are my favourite. We've had bit of frost overnight but no snow yet.
