Thanks for the welcome ladies! I am looking forward to being a part of this community. Looking around it seems like a great place. I tried another board over on the Bump...and well, it wasn't really my cup of tea.

Thanks to everyone who welcome me thus far. One question, for those who tracked their ovulation post-BC, when did you start?

I bought some OPKs and got off mirena IUD a little bit ago. No period yet, but not sure if I would be wasting peeing on a stick if I started tracking too soon.

I decided to track after 2 cycles. I knew things would be weird for a little while but it leveled out a little after 3 months. I would just let your body do its thing the first couple months and then start the OPKs and BBT. Hopefully you end up getting pregnant right away and don't need to worry about it.

But you had your Mirena removed today per your OP? When I had mine removed I remember having some spotting and then I started temping once I had an actual period which...uh...I kind of remember...but it wasn't too long after.

My cycles regulated pretty much right away but that's not always the case and obvs doesn't mean anything cuz here were are still TTC over 2 years later.

thechickencoop, I had it removed yesterday morning (so a little bit ago), my OP was posted yesterday. No spotting yet or sign of a period.

Ok, so it would be wasting money to pee on anything now. I'd start tracking/temping on CD1 of your first actual cycle. Start OPKS around day maybe 11 ish? It's hard until you see what your body does over time (ie cycle length, O signs, etc)

What were your cycles like before?

thechickencoop, I don't know anything about my cycles. I had Mirena for 10 years and haven't had a consistent period for 5-6 years. But I will wait until I get a period and go from there.

When I came off my Mirena, my cycle was essentially "normal" right away, but some people took a few months. I didn't start temping and such for a few months, so not totally sure about O, if you weren't temping there's no real way to know.
Have you had no period since getting off mirena?

wannabmama, I just came off mirena, so not really enough time I guess to be able have a period yet. So just waiting to see
