We had a blast today. DH took DS to the Legoland discovery center and he was so pumped! I took DD to the aquarium nearby and she kept yelling at the fish Found a bakery near our house that reminded DH of the bakeries in Brooklyn so we got a bunch of goodies. All in all a sweet day

Had a good day! Nothing super special, but good nonetheless— made breakfast tacos, went to the Y, did laundry, took P to the park, got some art making time in. Going to have some tea, watch a show and try to finish making P's Halloween costume before heading to bed.

So my 2 best friends and I have been close since 2nd grade. One of them met a guy last October, was pregnant by Christmas and had her daughter in august... Holy whirlwind, but exciting! Anyway, they got engaged 3 weeks ago.... I found out she was engaged through Facebook, and just tonight she texted us in the group chat a pic from their wedding...TODAY. Our other friend had no idea this was happening but is all "YAY OMG!" And I'm sitting here happy for her, but a little (1) worried that they're moving super fast (we talked like a month ago and she said she didn't see them getting married for at least another year...then a week later they're engaged & now married?) and (2) hurt that she wouldn't say anything to us about eloping. I get that they just wanted something simple but why not give a heads up? Like "hey send good vibes, we're getting married today!"
Sorry if this is a little bit unorganized...I'm still processing all of this, clearly. I didn't even know her new last name, I had to text our other friend privately to figure it out. Oy...
mommabakes Those snuggles are the best! Super cute too.
tmclawchick, That sounds like a disaster in the making. I can understand being hurt that your friend didn't keep you posted about what was going on. From what you're describing, I'm guessing that many people in her life are probably feeling that way right now. I hope it works out for them. It must be hard to even know what to say to her right now.
I'm proud of myself for getting out for a run this morning. Super frustrated with my Garmin running watch though. I feel like it has never really worked right in the 3 years I've had it. It often won't connect to GPS, thereby making it nothing more than a stopwatch. I really need to call customer service, but who has the time?
I've been awol this weekend - inlaws were in town and A has been sick and work won't stop leaving me alone so things have been nuts. I'm hoping for a calmer week.
