My day started with W flinging his diaper while I was changing him and because he's constipated his poop rolled all over the changing pad. I call a redo!
Monday mornings when H is outta town are hard and chaotic. Addie didn't want to get up, she was whiney and dumped her cereal milk all over the floor then dropped her cup of milk 10 minutes later. Plus I had to get trash and recycling down to the curb. We were 10 minutes behind schedule. Oh well. C was happy as a clam though.
Didn't your mom come home this weekend @betweenthelines?
ampaints any news on your interviews? Have you reached out to some recruiters? Hang in there my friend, good things come to those who wait! Plus you're killing it on Fitbit lately!
Just dropped w off at the y dc and he's wailing. I planned on only working out for 30 minutes today so I'd get him when he was still in a good mood but it loos like that's shot. Right now I can still hear him crying
@janetheconquerer nothing about the interviews yet. The one for school I'll give the professor a call today since he had said he hoped to decide by the end of last week. The actual job they still have interviews to do this week. One of the managers was out of town Thursday and Friday. So I plan on touching base with the HR person on Wednesday or Thursday. There's a career fair at school on Wednesday, so I'm going to research companies that will be there and get ready for that.
packmomma I hope you get some time at the gym. Keep at it, I think W will get use to it.
Only worked out 20 minutes because I couldn't focus. Plus side when I got him he was having a good time so I did get to praise him for having a good time. Not quite the morning I was envisioning.

My Dad is coming tomorrow! I'm really excited to see him, plus he's bringing all of our stuff that we had to leave behind when we moved suddenly two years ago I cannot find my kindle this morning. I might be quite absent for a few days.
packmomma it is so rough for you when LO is getting used to the idea of being watched by someone else. I hate to hear those cries. It really will get easier though, I promise. Just keep at it
@janetheconquerer I hope you all made it out the door clothed and fed!
I am feeling better, @janetheconquerer! My house is a WRECK and that gives me anxiety when I am home. There is no way it will get cleaned this week though. N was very clingy and drop off was HELL this morning. His teacher is no longer there so he was with a random today (he's not the best with that yet) and serious separation anxiety from being away from me this weekend.
I am staffing our state wide online reference desk right now. I had a student as for sources for a pretty obscure topic. I told them it may take a little bit for me to find it. I found it and they were gone... ugh Instant gratification doesn't always happen!!!

Hola! Took DD to Mother Goose on the Loose this morning and now I need to make my shopping list. I dragged my feet on submitting my grocery order and there are no curbside slots open until 7:30 tonight, so I actually have to go into the store, gah! First world problems today, ladies. My parents are coming this weekend and DS is so excited. Must clean and get the place in order before they get here!
I'm still a little grumbly about my best friend eloping without saying anything (I posted last night about it in the randoms thread), but I'm going to put a smile on and hope it all works out. She has quite a track record when it comes to picking awful men, and I just really hope that this isn't the case here. At this point it's done so I'll be supportive and hope for the best!
I made my DietBet exactly! I'm excited about that. I really need to get it together and start working out and consistently eating better though. Hope everyone has a better Monday!
@janetheconquerer, per Google re: clams...The original full phrase is "Happy as a clam in high water". Clams can only be "harvested/dug up" during low tide - so when the tide is high, they are less likely to be captured, cooked and eaten.

@janetheconquerer Heyyyyy! I'm over here. Lurking mostly, but yes busy as shit! Today I am 'working from home' this afternoon because M's sitter has pink eye, and my mom could only watch him until noon. I am so fortunate that my manager doesn't care and supportive. She told me I could have 'worked from home' all day if needed. Um not going to get a whole lot done with a toddler getting into EVERYTHING! Like seriously this child has so many toys and only ever wants what he isn't supposed to have!
I'm feeling tired though, M was up fussing at 4ish and DH went to get him. However the plan of a quick cuddle and put him down to fall asleep did not work for him. As soon as M fussed DH picked him back up again...then brought him into bed with us. Ugh I was so annoyed at him reinforcing this behaviour that I'm working so hard to break!

SIL stopped by for a little while with my niece. It was nice to visit. Today has mostly been cleaning. Still need to tackle the kitchen. Exciting stuff over here, lol!
I put E to bed an hour early last night bc she was a cranky mess (sinus infection + first canine cutting). She went right to sleep but woke up 2 hours later ready to party bc she thought it was a nap I guess. It took 3.5 hours to get her to go back to sleep.
New class starts today! I'm aiming to finish the 8-week class in about 3 weeks so I don't have to worry about it after Hazel is born.
W has a cough and a runny nose (we thought it was teething), I have a sore throat, and H just texted me that he thinks he's getting sick. On the bright side thw doors are getting installed tomorrow.

Feeling like an adult today. Worked out, made a nice meal for lunch, played with the kids a bunch, finished a sewing project, did some cleaning, played outdoors and picked up sticks in the lawn, painted with the munchkins, and it's not even dinner time. Hoping this energy keeps up because I'd love to live like this every day!
redandblue, lol, I'm so distracted. The board exam is tomorrow. I usually over prepare but this time I feel like I've undershot.
C pulled over a 6 foot lamp today and it broke. Both my sister and I were in the room when it happened. My sister was like 1 foot away and didn't realize she pulled it over until it crashed. She's fine but it's just a reminder to me that toddlers are little scientists and have to be watched like Hawks. I guess it's one less thing to have to move next week.
M only napped for one hour at my dad's today. He at least managed to stay awake until H got home. Margarita on tap currently and waiting on H to cook dinner.
Ugh, I feel like I have nothing interesting to say. Without going to work each day I see very few people. I'm avoiding the news until the election is over, and pretty much the same with Facebook.

I've been a dirty lurker lately. I've been hella busy with work all week and the kids evenings/weekends. Ive stopped bringing anything work related home so I tried picking up my hobbies again. I was in a bit of a slump missing me time. Reading and crafting have been so relaxing.
