I don't have any good new either. I got rear ended yesterday and the person who hit me drove away. So I have to call my insurance and see if I can get this dent popped out of my bumper. It's really minor. I'm just pissed because people suck.
ugh that really sucks JoBub . Did you file a police report? I know it's unlikely they will do anything to catch the guy, but you never know.
Yeah I was like right in front of the police department when it happened. So I just went there and filed a report right away. The cop said it's really unlikely that they would be able to track her down. But I figured I probably needed a report for my insurance to cover it.

JoBub that really sucks. Like someone read ended you and just drove off? I can't even imagine. I probably would have gone ape shit and trying to drive after her and chase her down lol.

You can always get an estimate first to see what the OOP cost would be vs. filing a claim through insurance.
ETA: to have my bumper replaced it's only $710 (deductible is $500) so if we ever had to file a claim on our ins for it we would probably just pay OOP vs. dealing with the hassle of a claim and possible rate hike.

She stopped at first, because it was a red light. We were in the left turn lane. I got out of my car and she rolled her window down and said "Sorry I was checking on the baby!" I saw that the damage was really minor so I wasn't going to call the police. I asked if she had insurance and she said yes, so I was like "let's just swap info." I leaned into my car and grabbed my phone. I was going to call DH and ask him if he thought it was ok to not call the police. And just then the light turned green and she swerved over into the next lane and drove off. I was just sort of stunned. I wasn't that mad because I already knew there was hardly any damage.
So just then DH answers the phone and I was like "I just got rearended and she drove away! What do I do?" and he said call the cops. So I pulled into a parking lot and googled the non-emergency number. When I told the dispatcher where I was she was like "you're right across the street. Do you want to just come over here and file a report?" It was really quick.

good point. I think our deductible is $500 too. I'm kinda hoping the bumper won't need to be replaced. It's just the plastic part, and it really looks like if I could stick my hand behind it I could just pop the dent back out. Our rate never went up after DH's accident so we might be on thin ice if I file another claim.
I was anemic too with DS2. Hopefully you get to feeling better soon. Are they starting you on meds?
Nurse just told me to take an otc iron supplement with oj. Did you have to take prescribed meds?
Yup. I'd ask about the prescription. It was really cheap. I'm guessing you could save money that way. Just a thought. You could at least see what the cost is.
That sucks @jobob. Oddly enough I've had that happen to me twice. I don't think I'm scary, but apparently when people see me they run.
I'm guessing it's just that a lot of people are driving around with no insurance. Which is shitty. My neighbor recently got into an accident. It was her fault, and the other driver got out and started screaming at her. She was scared to get out of her car, and she called the police and then called her H. Her H could hear him screaming through the phone so he hung up and called 911 to ask for police to get to her quickly, and they did. That guy turned out to be uninsured and threatened to sue her. Then he started calling her cell phone and harassing her trying to get money from her. And then his MOM called her phone. (WTF?) Anyway, my point is maybe I'm not sad I didn't have to deal with her. LOL
I'm halfway through book 5 now and getting way too worked up. I seriously know nothing about the books or movies and someone asked me the other day if I knew what happens at the end of the series. Now I'm worried about it. I also want to see some of the movies soon.

I think several of us have the movies you can borrow. The books are great, don't worry about the ending. The ending is good too.

Oh good. The person who said it made it sound bad.
I knew you have the movies, but I thought you might need them for marathon nursing/ newborn snuggle sessions
My sweet baby has developed an obsession with slapping. He laughs so hard and smiles so big at the sound of skin being smacked. His favorite target is my face.
Don't remember this the first go around. Don't enjoy it.
