Lollipop good luck with surgery tomorrow! I had mine out in my early 20's and it was a ROUGH recovery. I was off work for 2 weeks and it took a long time to be able to eat normally again. Side benefit was I lost a ton of weight but not a fun way to go about it.

Our week so far -- Monday: DDs 1+2 at preschool, DD3 home with me. Tuesday: Had to pick up DDs 1+2 at preschool because DD2 was getting pink eye. DD3 with nanny, but not helpful since I couldn't work Wednesday: All the DDs home with me Thursday: DDs 1+2 to preschool, DD3 home with me but had to pick DDs 1+2 up at 9:30 because DD2 was saying her eye itched again. Took her to pedi, everything fine. Friday: DDs 1+2 to preschool with a call to preschool saying I don't care if DD2's eye itches, she's had her eyedrops for 72 hours now and she's staying. DD3 with nanny. Hallelujah.
Oh, and DH worked late on Monday and Thursday (as in: got home after 10pm) and today and tomorrow he's gone to a firefighter thing. I am getting thisclose to killing him or at least breaking his leg so he can't do the firefighter stuff for a while.
crimsonandclover I'm sorry you've had a chaotic week. That sounds awful. Do they actually have pink eye? If they've been on drops they should be fine! Turn your phone off?? (Kidding...sort of) I woke up at 3 am and I've been up ever since. I'm going to pay heavily for this in a few hours. I realized dd1 has a Christmas concert on a night I'm suppose to work and I couldn't stop thinking about how I'd be missing it. I emailed my manager and asked for my schedule to be changed, but they frown on taking more than two shifts off and that would be the third I'm asking for. No one has even offered to take the other two for me yet. At this rate I'll be quitting which I don't want to, but in not cool with missing some of this stuff for a job that's mostly for funsies.
kcrkcs I can relate to what you describe. My husband sometimes comments that I'm using my teacher voice and it's not a complement... No suggestions other than constantly reminding yourself of the different relationships.

I know I should have come to terms with this already, but man poops still annoy the crap out of me (crap. Ha.)
I mean, if it takes that long to get your poop out, maybe you are going to the bathroom prematurely? Or maybe you should see a doctor? Or maybe you should stop reading a stupid hockey article and GTFO of there?

+1000 my H times them perfectly with the most busy time of the morning so I end up having to get everyone ready all on my own. Because he has to poop. There is no coming to terms with that. It will always be annoying and ridiculous.
Surgery went well! They've got me on T3's so I'm a little groggy and dizzy. But I'm not having much pain. I am however some itchiness from either the anesthesia or morphine, which is supper annoying. I tried to nap when I got back to my room, but I couldn't stop itching. SIL is going to pick me up and hang around till H gets home, so I might be able to snooze at home.

scorpioscuba, NellieOleson, glad I am not the only one. H always has to poop at the most inconvenient times and when I ask him to hurry it makes a big deal that he needs to take his time. Jeez - get in there and get out. It's not that hard. Maybe try leaving your phone in the room and it would take a lot less longer...

Thanks for all of the well wishes.
Glad everything went well so far!
I had super bad itchiness after my c-section from the dilaudid they put in my IV. They gave me something for the itchiness... I think it was just benedryl?

They gave me benadryl, but I probably needed more. My mom ended up picking me up and dropping me at her house so my dad could watch me because my SIL had to go home to let her dog out. Instead of dragging me and the kids with her she just took the kids. And then my mom picked them up got me. She's buying S supper on the way to drop us off at home with H. H is currently at the store picking up my prescription and food for me. I still haven't eaten since last night.

My BFF's dad monopolized the bathroom when we were teenagers. If you didn't get in there before him in the morning you were holding it for a solid 3 hours at least. If H pulled that crap I'd drop kick him into the next century.
Plus eleventy for man poop probs. Also my hubs follows a very strict pooping schedule and if he is off for any reason it's like a frigging disaster. We are home. Yay! But I already miss sunny Florida 😩

I'll be honest, I know many here have crazier schedules than we do, I dont mean to whine. I am pissed hes going to end up leaving 3 weeks of vacation on the table at the end of the year and he literally took less than a week when dd3 was born. He's had less than 5 days off all year. He even told me he couldn't do this if I were working. True that dude, bc I'd kill you.

I am so happy to be home!!!! Even if I have mountains of laundry to do. We might do a pumpkin 🎃 patch tomorrow. Or I might just stay in bed and cuddle my kids all day. It's a toss up!
Holy yeezus let me be strong. We are trying the sleep training again. The cry of your baby is literally the most heart rending thing. I just hate this. I know it's going to be better for all of us but gawd.

kcrkcs you're better than me. She's been sleeping so well, but tonight I let her cry about ten minutes before I came up. She's now attached to my boob and has been for 20 minutes....

Anyone heard from icequeen lately? She's been quiet. We had a busy day of yard work here. The weather is amazing. I'm feeling bad we didn't do family pics this fall. We are kind of in an every other year pattern. That's ok right?? I just hate that my kids are growing up. Why must they get big?

Not better. My husband is pretty much holding me down from going in there and I am having a small panic attack. I am trying to drink enough that boob isn't an option. #goals

kcrkcs hang in there. It's important that she sleep well and she has to learn sometime. Trust me, way way way easier now than when they can escape their crib and room.

Thanks for the moral support. I know it's all true. Just poor my little angry angry sad baby. At least she isn't screaming mommy.

I remember you saying she suddenly was having a hard time sleeping a couple weeks ago... Do you think it was the 8-10 month sleep regression? We are in the middle of it right now. It sucks big time.
Hopefully L has moved past whatever was keeping her up and sleep training goes smoothly and quickly for you guys this time around. Hang in there lady.
NellieOleson thanks. We had a double header of sick and teething that broke the good sleep. Then I just didn't try again because we were going on vacation and It sucks doing this. Essentially I was a whimp and probably made this more difficult. MywillisstrongerMywillisstrongerMywineisstronger

She posted some pics on FB today. She's probably just busy
