mustloveerica, YAS! I will let you know if I end up coming up for any of the games!
And yes, onesweetworld, please send me lots of wine thoughts. I can't believe I have to deal with MIL for 13 days without WINE!
DH was talking about how we need to get the guest room cleaned up before the babies come in case his mom wants to come stay with us for a while. I was like "fuck no is your mother staying with us after I give birth". I mean I love her but the LAST thing I want is to feel like I have to entertain and care for a guest right after my vag has been torn apart and I'm attempting to learn to keep my TWO newborns alive. Heelllllllllllll no, mister.
I usually leave at 4. A coworker offered me a ride to my car in the remote lot due to the awful weather.. my comment "want to book it at 3:45?" He goes "don't you work until 4?" Me: "yeah; but it's close enough for government work"
Jealous. 1.5 hours. I'm ready to go now. I'm done with my coworkers.
Ugh, my a/s is Monday and I'm starting to get anxious. I really wish I didn't get so nervous before all my appointments, I keep assuming it'll get better the further along I am but so far no dice

Only 1 minute left to this ridiculously long day. There has been NOTHING to do ALL day. I'm bored to tears. I could've legitimately slept under my desk all afternoon and not been missed.

My MiL tried this... she also saved the majority of her time off for it. It did not bode well for her

I can't remember what I posted where. Sorry if this is a repeat. The air in the house wouldn't go below 79 all day. H called his friend that works on A/C's and he came out withing the hour H contacted him. He got here maybe an hour ago just in time to catch something wrong that would've blown the air compressor. He put a new part in, but it still isn't cooling. I'm just waiting to see the numbers on the thermostat drop. I guess he is troubleshooting to see what else could be wrong.

That sucks. Warm temps are so uncomfortable the farther along you get in pregnancy. Hoping the fix works soon!

OB wanted me to start kick counts. I'm drinking sweet tea and eating a late dinner, and so far nothing. It's been a quiet day for her, but I just saw her doing fine and moving this afternoon.

Woot Woot!!!! The temp dropped 2 degrees since he fixed it And it was only $75. He said that we may need a new fan motor in a few months because he isn't sure how much damage was done. For now we have working A/C's in the house and car again. Yay Yay Yay!

Why do they want you to start counting kicks? I know for me DD2 definitely has times when she is way more active and then hours with nothing.

After the two hospitals visits this week to monitor me to see if I have preeclampsia.

I think it's more common these days for obs to recommend counting kicks at 28 wks. Mine said to do it during his active periods. And there should be 10 kicks/rolls/movement in 2 hrs. After a weekend that he seemed quieter than usual, it took me 3 hrs to get those 10 kicks. He was still quieter that day in general but afterwards got into another routine. Try orange juice, shaking your belly, etc when attempting to count kicks. I also apply pressure to my tummy on the area I feel he's at.
I startedy NST appts this week and the nurse had to use a buzzer to wake him up. It doesn't hurt just buzzes. I wanted to ask her where I could buy one of those

Thanks for the advice, no OJ but I need to get some this weekend.
My doctor actually said that kick counts tend to stress out moms more than anything else. She told me that I know baby girl and her schedule, so I should trust my instincts vs. trying to get however many kicks per hour. She did say that if things felt slow on a particular day, I should do the usual (drink orange juice or soda, lay on my left side in a quiet place, etc.) and see if she gets more active.

Yea it took 2 hours 40 minutes to get in the 10 kicks, it feels a lot more stressful to try to count it out than just knowing what her schedule is and being ok with that.

Good morning lovelies.
So DH somehow planned his own birthday party for tomorrow. We don't do birthday parties so it was weird to begin with. Then somehow he ended up with like 50 people coming to this thing. So I'm cranky because I don't want to have this huge party. We are planning on having a sex reveal party in a few weeks and then I usually host thanksgiving. So now I'm hosting 3 parties in a row. It's extremely overwhelming. I feel bad that I'm not helping plan this birthday party much. I ordered a bunch of sheet pizzas. And I finished our bathroom renovations last night. And I'll clean the house tonight. But the logistics of the party are up to him. I'm just not into it. I'm such a bad wife.
