Sorry for all the sick babies and Mamas and for your scare with your Mom teraiin.
We are a mess over here. DC is still a mess from a major toddler tantrum yesterday, piles of dishes, poop on the bed sheets, cat puke on the floor, diapers need washing. 👍🏽 I will just snuggle my babe instead.
teraiin I have two different Evenflo convertibles and I like it better than both of them so far. I just can't get over how user friendly it is! Our selection for extended rfing is so limited here so I was super happy to see this seat come to Canada. It's only been here since the beginning of October.
@led is there a chance they just don't know she should be in a seat? My MIL is shocked that ds1 is still in a car seat. But she was also shocked that I breastfed him until he was a year.
It's possible, I hope that's what it is. I'm working on a note now.
On the off chance they can't afford one maybe you could include info to s local program that might assist in getting car seats? If there is one? And if you can work it in without it coming off insulting lol
I snuck down the hall for some baby snuggles during my lunch today. ❤️ Hopefully that gets me through the next 4 hours. I'm so tired! These almost hourly wakeups can stop any time now. I'm almost to the point of not being able to function tired.
Nothing broken but they are admitting her because she has pneumonia. She pulled out her iv and threatened a nurse so I'm not sure what they do when that happens lol

I realty hope this is enough to get her into a nursing facility.
Well so much for an easy day. She's still refusing to eat and was screaming until she fell asleep. I was rocking her for, what felt to my abs, like forever. Ugh. I don't know how to get her to eat. Maybe I shouldn't have showered this morning. Ugh. I hate days like this. At least it's a busy day so hopefully it'll go by quickly.

teraiin yes dementia and Alzheimer's is genetic. Alzheimer's is often linked to type 2 diabetes and there is an arguement that it should be called type 3 diabetes. Both run in my grandfather's side of the family as well.
I am sorry for the situation with your mom though hopefully it will help get her the care she needs.

@led, also look online. So much there that you can print and just slip on their windshield? But honestly, it's on them to decode for their kid. Be careful in meddling with it. As hard as it is, it may not be in your place to say something.

I don't give a shit if it's not my place. A baby's life is at risk and that's all that matters.

Saw a story that a DC center in the area is being investigated for possible child abuse. Makes my stomach hurt. I feel like I'm being bombarded right now with stories of abuse and pain and suffering of babies. Ugh.
Makes me so thankful I can walk down the hall and see my baby is ok. And that MH can do the same for our toddler.

Someone on our local mommy fb page posted that he 18 month old came home with burns on her hand that the day care teacher couldn't explain and she shared the picture. 😩 She wants to give them the benefit of the doubt but they could provide no theory as to how it happened.
Well, he spit up/puked 3 times at daycare and is still not feeling better. No fever and he's stopped being happy. He's napping right now.
And this would be the night DH is going to be super late.
Naturally.
I hope he feels better soon. Are you going to bring him to the doctor or see what happens since he doesn't have a fever?
Probably see what happens tonight. DH is in the city tomorrow and I have a client (5 of them) flying in from NY, so neither of us can take off work without a "real" reason, so as long as he meets the DC requirements, we send him.
He's rounding out a 2 hour nap in the K'tan, so that's a good sign, but my back is killing me.
The advice nurse told DH "your wife probably is familiar with genital discomfort." Nope, I am not. Me and my vag have a great relationship, I've never really had any issues with her.
BIL's wife posted that she's making a Hedwig costume for her baby for Halloween. My first thought was "Hedwig and the Angry Inch", not Harry Potter's owl. And I just read all seven books this summer.

I feel like that's a poor choice of words on their part. Lol
