1. My surgery Friday went well but I look like I stepped out of a horror movie! I'm not supposed to cover up the wound but I'm really dreading going to school today and being barraged with questions. I can't rememberthe last time I felt this self-conscious!
2. I had my first mw appointment yesterday and I really like my mw! Going to have another u/s on Friday then hopefully nipt next week and the nt scan the week after. Then we'll finally tell our parents who we think already have a hunch anyway. I'm trying to decide on a cute way to tell them. One idea is going out for Chinese food and sneaking custom fortune cookies to them at the end. But that leaves us waiting through the whole meal lol.
3. DW is truly amazing! She took such good care of me this weekend, I sometimes still can't believe how lucky/blessed I am.
4. I have zero motivation to do school work but I need to attempt some this morning.
5. I'm laying in bed right now though and DW is bringing me a bagel and cream cheese (again see number 3).
6. My mw office does this group prenatal care thing and next month I signed up to try it. It would mean I don't get to see the mw I've seen twice and really like (I saw her once before I got pg) but instead I'd have shorter 1 on 1 appointments with this other midwife but would then be with a group of couples all due in the same 3 months and we would talk, learn together, have speakers (like a pediatrician, doula, lactation consultant etc). I like the idea of connecting with other couples due at the same time but I also really like my mw and having solid 1 on 1 time with her. So, I'm torn...
7. Update to number 2 (they just called). They couldn't get me in next week for nipt so I'll have that in 2 weeks and nt scan in 3. Ugh so impatient lol.
8. Mmmm bagels are my favorite food right now lol.
Me: 32, Wife: 38, Together for 5 years, Married for 2 years IUI #1 (8/2016): Letrozole, Ovidrel, Crinone = BFN IUI #2 (9/2016): Letrozole, Ovidrel, Endometrin = BFP!! EDD 5/26/17
1. Hand, Foot, Mouth Update: 6 of my nails are peeling/falling off. It's delightful.
2. L being out of town is a pain in my a$$ from a logistical perspective. My only saving grace is that this week they don't have regular homework because it is a short week (they are off Thurs/Fri.) Next week will be worse. I think I need to figure out getting a hot spot device so the kids can do their internet based stuff while waiting for their sibling at sports practice. We can't wait until we get home at 7:30 to start that stuff plus dinner, showers, etc.
3. My dad is coming into town "sometime." He is going to be driving home from Rhode Island and going through our city, but doesn't know when. "No earlier than Thursday, but could be later. Not sure." Um. Yea, I am all for flexibility, but we have plans and while I am willing to reschedule with other people, I would like to give them advance warning.
4. #3 makes L furious. She is already not a big fan of my dad.
5. I am hoping that my dad doesn't come over the weekend. L is going to be home, but exhausted and not interested in being social. Plus, the kids have a school project to finish, 2 soccer games, 1 swim practice, and church (we missed last week.) I am REALLY REALLY hoping he comes Thursday. It would be the best night. No activities for the kids, L still out of town...
6. C is really working his tail off in soccer. I'm very proud of him.
7. I think Chipotle is what's for dinner.
8. Anyone watch Masters of $ex and want to discuss?
9. I don't think we need a 3rd debate tomorrow night. I think everything that needs to be said has been said.
10. I get so much junk e-mail. I have been on an 'unsubscribe' kick recently.
1. rosesquared, I'm glad your surgery went well and DW is being awesome!
2. 2brides, Agreed, the debate will just be another shit show. I hope you stop peeling soon!
3. Desert Trip was AMAZING! I will share a few pictures on the private board.
4. We've done car camping for Caochella before, but we RV camped for Desert Trip and it was so much more enjoyable. AC and bathrooms were wonderful.
5. It was really nice to sleep in my own bed last night though. I slept like a rock.
6. 24 days to FET!!!
7. I'm ready to be done with the BCPs they're giving me terrible cramping. FX everything looks good at our US Thursday so we can move forward with the transfer.
8. I can't believe it's almost Halloween. I need to get some pumpkins so we can carve them!
9. We're hosting Thanksgiving and the guest bath needs to be redone before that happens. The next month will likely be crazy because of that.

1. Trying to make decisions on moving Is into her room/crib and trying to wean her off of being rocked/fed to sleep. I'm dreading it but she's almost 5 months.
2. Happy there's a little more baseball.
3. Sad because all of the hockey is always so late.
4. Still loving Music Together.
5. There's a giant booksale for the library this weekend and I'm super excited.
6. It was super warm today, 25 Celsius... glad I didn't pack away all the short sleeves.
7. We ordered chinese for dinner, it was delicious and there are lots of leftovers.
8. I have to tell my mom to tone down the pink outfits for Is.
9. Reading this back I feel very boring.
10. I might join up with the June bmb, not feeling like I fit in with the May board and we're a late May with June due date anyhow. I've been lurking.
1. My in laws are in town this week 2. It's nice because we never really get visits from family since we are so far away. 3. However we got hit by a big winter storm and we are all not impressed. Though this might be the only time they really see snow because they head the Florida for the winter. Lucky!! 4. My mother in law is a red seal chef, so needless to say, we have been eating well!! She made a bunch of meat pies and butter tarts for us today. lol yum!!!! 5. Pregnant and yummy ass food is bad right now. 6. My father in law fixed two of our toilets that were either running all the time or making weird noises.. They used to own a hotel, so he did a lot of the handy work. And he made a big measuring stick for the baby when he's big enough to start keeping track of his growth, and we can take it with us! 7. Yes.. We put Jo's Dad to work... But he loves doing things and keeping busy. 8. They are going to get us the crib, which is awesome! 9. My father in law says Jason is an awesome name for his grandson... We are not sold on Jason at all... lol 10. We are so happy they are here for the week. Even though we saw them in the summer, we love having them here.
1. It's been cooler here in CA this week, but I hear it's supposed to be 90 again on Thurs.
2. I got to 'defend' a deposition today for a case we're not actually in. It's always refreshing to do something that could be stressful, when you don't really have a dog in the fight.
3. I feel like it's 2 steps forward, 1 step back whenever I try to explore options for future career/location. There's so many variables, and it's hard to know what the right choices are, and what will pan out. I want the best lifestyle for our family, but I don't want to take a step back in my career that we'll all regret in the long run.
4. I get to see CAR and baby on Thurs!! It's been almost 3 weeks!
5. I'm wearing my most formal work dress today, but it's easily my most comfortable outfit. Win-win.
CARs
6. This time I'm reason that we're a day late. Days have been very full lately but fortunately in a good way. Not much down time to just look at my phone.
7. M and I fly back tomorrow morning. Excited to see CET but so not ready to leave fall. It's supposed to be 90 this weekend. Ugh.
8. M has a cold. Cough and runny nose. Took her to the doctors this morning and luckily her ears and lungs look good. I wanted her looked at before we fly.
9. We have a Halloween party this weekend but I haven't put together our costumes. I think M and I are going to be runners and CET is our cheering squad. Pretty simple. I still need a few things for M. We also have a first birthday party.
10. Umm....have I said before how much I love fall? (I'm a broken record about it)
