We ended up deciding to wait on getting DS a full sized bed because he has been doing better lately so we didn't want to rock the boat. We got him a table and chairs instead this table and the aluminum chairs that go with it. After using coupon codes and red card I paid $98 total! 😁 www.target.com/p/industrial-kids-activity-table-campanula-white-pillowfort/-/A-50672381

bliz1712 you said in random thread you needed more gift ideas for your girls. This (rack of 16 mini "really useful boxes" in assorted colors) is not an official toy but is totally one of my dd's favorite things right now and has been for months - she plays with these boxes (along with a couple dollars tree plastic baskets and a piece of styrofoam broken into little pieces) more than anything else in my classroom when I bring her to school with me. And she will play with them BY HERSELF which otherwise never happens. Maybe she is more ocd than most but containers are probably fun for most kids. www.reallyusefulproducts.co.uk/usa/html/onlineshop/rub/b00_14litreOrg.php
My sister and I decided not to buy for each other this year
I tried to go that way with my brothers and offended my SIL. Oops.
This is the first year we won't get anything for each other and I'm ok with it. We always end up getting something we like but really don't need. I got an extra gift for my nephew instead
meggypoo1, does she drink? Bed, Bath & Beyond has a lot of good gadgets, like a wine bottle opener, wine chiller, etc.
She does drink! I was trying to get some hello kitty wine but can't ship it! Good idea! I'll have check with my mom see what she has in the house! I haven't seen it yet. You would think I know what to get her. We talk all the time. She is my bff

I never know what to get them. So they end up with crap they don't need. Especially my SILs. Buy for the kids, leave me out of it.

I'd still be sad with no adult present at all though. I broke all polite protocol and told my mum i wanted a gift card and no jewelry, no perfume, no clothes. Miss Manners would be very unimpressed.

We just buy for kids in my family. I always feel a little bad for my one bil who is childless though. We are the only ones with only 1 kid though and I never cared in the past before we had her. Christmas gifts are for childhood. Ffc maybe, DH and I don't even do more than a stocking for each other in years past. If I want something I buy it, our monies are shared so no big whoop, however this year we will exchange a few things because DD is starting to get the whole Santa thing. Basically im writing him a list of stuff I'd buy anyway and he will buy and wrap it up.

Same here, jennyinheaven! DH and I don't do gifts for each other either. I am of the mindset that Christmas presents are for the kids (I loooove Christmas, but not being at work and spending time with family is present enough for me)! We just do a small exchange for the adults on both my side and DH's side so we still have to buy a few adult presents, but luckily we have scaled it back over recent years.

This is what we do, but DH has one childless brother who is an adult and we buy for him and my younger brother and sister who are still teens, but once you have kids the money goes toward their presents. We've all agreed it's more fun that way and everyone made amazon lists for the kids this year so it was super easy!

Dh has a big family. 2 of his siblings have 2 kids too. We do a secret Santa for all of us and started a secret Santa for the kids this year. I understand it's expensive for the kids, but this is the first year ds1 is excited about Christmas and I've been buying 4 kids presents for years. I guess ds will never know & it's not about presents (he will get plenty anyway)...I'm just being a Scrooge - don't judge me to harshly

We used to buy for everyone then switched to drawing names. We have a younger cousin so our family made a rule to buy for all kids under 18 then they get out into the drawing. Us older kids got more years of gifts obviously but it's nice that the younger ones get a bit extra for a bit at least.
anyone know where to get some frames cheap and that I can ship for not an arm and leg? I have 12 people that "need" Santa pictures and then I was looking for a frame that has two pictures in it. Again I need 12.

Do they need to be framed? Can you just throw an unframed picture at them and let them get their own frame? I have a friend* that does that every year

Check the dollar store. They may have some decent ones. Otherwise, let them get their own like emmagk said.

*may be me.
Some of these people are getting these as their gifts. Like that's it. Nothing more.

Checked there but it costs like 10 bucks to ship. I just don't want to have to deal with packing them.

I'm confused. Are you looking for frames to ship to your house so you can put the prints in and then ship them to the gift recipients? Or are you shipping them to where you are going for Christmas and will just bring the prints with and assemble there?
