I'm all the way to December 8 for the advent calendar. I also have 8 of the 24 pockets sew on the advent calendar.
DH hung my new lighting in the craft room today and it gives off such great light compared to the old cheap dome light that was there. Directional lighting was the way to go.
I'm also working on my Christmas list for MIL. What's you're go to sewing or paper crafting items you can't live without. Coming from a house where no one crafter and my grandma had moved on to crochet I've never known a sewer to discuss this with in person.
This weekend is a Sunday craft day for me and I need to start and finish my costume for a Harry Potter Halloween party. I'm making Wizzard robe out of a graduation gown (since I had it) and working on painting my tie and sweater in my house colors.
MsNicole06, my number one (I'll say "one" because it all goes together) sewing item is having a sewing machine that has a good variety of stitches it can do plus that can be adjusted (better fine tuning of stitch width and length), the autolock feature, and a handful of particular feet (i.e. a particular style zipper/piping foot, a walking foot, an overlock foot, either a rolling or non-stick foot, and a few others). Number two is a larger cutting mat (at least 2x3). I think it depends on what you sew though.
