I grew up in a tiny town about 20 miles from there, Bedford Whenever we go back I have to stop at Texas Tavern for a cheesy western, many a very late teenage burger was eaten there!

Anyone know if there's something similar to guided access for an android? J likes hitting the home button on my phone too, then brings it to me to reopen whatever app he was playing with.
Still sick here today, but I think I'm over the worst of it. Hopefully. J has a faucet for a nose, so that's fun.
In the single digits for days left in my current job! We still haven't found a place to move to yet, which is frustrating, but there were a couple of new listings I saw today. I called 14 yesterday, and none of them were available.
Haha, gotcha! We still kick it old school with a CD player in the boys' room. I almost got rid of it recently but I'm glad I didn't now that this audio book thing entered our lives! I do know you can download them to play through an ipod or what-have-you but then you would obviously have to pay for it. Library is free, and free is good
Our library partners with OverDrive and loans ebooks and audiobooks for free.
I just checked and so does ours! alayne926, something to look into. And an audiobook would be different from an e-book. With the audiobook it's just the sound of someone reading the book aloud, there are no pages or anything on the screen that would distract. Do you have a bluetooth speaker that you play your itunes through? Just use that.
Hmmm...we do have OverDrive on our library as well. I use it to put ebooks on my ipad. Hmmm...I'll have to look into bluetooth speakers if I can't find a reasonable cd player.
I think physically going to the library would be good for him and may be an "US" activity to do together with out little sister.

Solo parenting tonight and tomorrow night, so I am trying to think of things to keep her occupied. I think we are going to head to Costco after work because we need a few things there, and samples always keep her happy
I will probably apply for a job tonight and then go to bed early and starfish the bed, sounds lovely!
I closed the window to my office because I'm tired of kids banging on it and waving to me while I work. I'm not sure where I'll be teaching next year but I really, really hope it isn't here.
billyhorrible, I skimmed over your post and thought it said that since it was your Friday it meant grilled cheese for you. I'm sorry that isn't the case.

When I'm home with a kid I always send DH pictures during the day. When he was home Friday I teased him about being so worried since I didn't get any pictures of them having fun.

I just realized that 2 years ago I found out that I was pregnant with B!
We've had a busy, busy day. I'm trying to keep the girls as entertained as possible while DH is gone to help pass the time. We went to strollercize and then carved pumpkins. It was so cute, A was so into it this year!

I know someone who lives in Bedford! She moved there a few years ago and we actually bought our first house from her parents.

Guess who get to sign not one but two incident reports at day care today? DS bit a kid (he must have seen my post just the other day that this was getting better) and then apparently got in a toddler room brawl? Some kid pushed him, so DS shoved him back. Ironically, when I dropped him off a little girl came up to him and pushed him and he started crying. I told him not to be a pushover (joking obviously). I guess at least he listened?

Thats crazy! Its such a tiny town. There isnt much there, do you know what made her move?
Currently sitting outside waiting for the fire dept to come because our carbon monoxide detector started going crazy.
Carbon monoxide poisoning is so terrifying to me. Glad your monitor went off, even if it's nothing, and that your house is cleared for you to be there.
We've been cleared but the FD is still trying to figure out why it keeps going off. They have been amazing and even gave J a little stuffed Dalmatian.
She's been awake for almost an hour and a half but she ate a big dinner and was totally normal before this. I am so tired though omg. Go to sleep, child!
ashbash I think she met her ex-husband online and he lived in Virginia (maybe in Roanoke?). He moved out here with them for a while but it's expensive here and her family had been struggling financially so they all moved to Virginia. They got divorced, she remarried at couple of years ago and I believe her new husband lived in Bedford.
