Atticus: When I was younger, I watched Peppa Pig. Me: We just watched Peppa right before we came upstairs for bath. It's only been a few minutes. Atticus: Yeah, but actually, I was younger then.

B received about 10 Disney dvds for Xmas. She was picking one out to watch and hands it to me so I can put it on. Me: ok, The Jungle Book, good choice. B: no, not jungle book! Jungle movie!
MH: B what do you want for dinner? B: HOT DOG (very sure and enthusiastically), with ketchup and that yellow stuff...whats it called...mustard MH: ok bud I'll make you a hot dog with ketchup and mustard B: YEAH!! --We sit down for dinner MH: Time for dinner, here is the hot dog you wanted B: ::sits down and pushes away the plate:: says 'nope' MH: then why did you ask for it? B: So I could tell you no.
You should have seen the rage/annoyance in MH face, of course I just burst out laughing. 3 yo's are assholes.
This is like every waking minute of every day in my house. #highmaintenance

(As told by Ms. B, Cadence's teacher)
The kids were learning about sharing. As part of the exercise they were tracing the word sharing. When finished, they were supposed to come to her and tell her what word they wrote and what it meant. Cadence finished tracing, went to Ms. B and said, "I wrote the word 'sharing'" B: Good. What does sharing mean? C: Sharing is caring. B: ok, good. Cadence then proceeded to go back to the marker table, wrench a marker from a friend's hand and say, "Ms. B says sharing is caring!" and sit down to draw with said marker.
...Needless to say, we will still be working on what sharing actually means.
N found lip gloss in my bedroom this morning. She asked if she could have some and I told her not right now. She said "but mommy, see what it says on the back? It says... dear mommy, you have to share this with Nora"

I was sitting next to mh on the couch with my arm drapped over him (sort of like I was hugging him). Cadence looked at us and she walked over, wedged herself between us and said, "Oh, look at us, Mommy, Daddy, and me!"
When I was picking H up from preschool she was upset so I was asking her what her friends names are to distract her. She pointed at someone and asked me who it was. I told her I didn't know and asked her what the girl's name was. Her response "I can't know mommy!"
Following along the poop conversation... Sam is still in diapers. Yesterday I smelled poop and asked him if he pooped. He looked at me and said "I don't want to answer that mommy". It was toddler version of I plead the 5th.
