Had blood drawn yesterday and the nurse was worried because I'm "severely dehydrated " she called my ob and everything. They are trying to prevent me from going to the er, and I don't want to go, but like how long do I do this? I'm just barely getting by each day. Feeling well didn't last long.
This is so fucking hard. I'm sorry for the dear diary.
Yikes. Depending on what they are worried about I would go.
Yea I'm keeping mh and mom updated and we talked about when I will need to go. I've been able to keep down half a bottle of Gatorade today so I'm feeling better then yesterday.

No tickets. I'm so annoyed. The MLB site and the way they do things is such a JOKE. Basically, unless you're a season ticket holder, a ticket broker or a corporation, you get screwed. And if you can't afford to pay $3000 per ticket on stub hub, you're even more screwed!

@priss08, my OBs office has my appointments scheduled out to 41 weeks despite the fact that DS was born 4 weeks early and this one will most likely be born early. I'd be having a WTF response to that comment too.

Im so sorry. Have you been diagnosed with HG, or has it been brought up? Someone on my M15 bmb had it and was frequently in the hospital for fluids in order to stay on top of it. Maybe cosmicav remembers more details than I do.
I really hope you catch a long, lasting break from the sickness. I'm so sorry.
jnow Is there an option for getting fluids short of the ER? Prior to getting pregnant, I had the flu and spent the day at my normal doctors office getting an IV and IV meds. They put a TV on and just had me chill. All I paid was my 20 dollar co-pay.
I hope you start feeling better soon. I sympathize. I'm not nearly as sick as you, but my nausea/vomiting is still here. Spent last night up and down throwing up.
@priss08 they are sympathetic but not worried because I'm not throwing up all day. I go back next week so we will see. I'm up about 10 pounds so that's not an issue.
The tricky part is that not being able to drink much is a combo of ms and indigestion. I think the ms is getting better, I'm just still getting sick.

lezzie82 had HG and dealt with hospital trips for fluids often...she has been MIA from our BMB though for like a year or more :/ I can't remember anyone else who dealt with it offhand.
jnow have you checked out the HG board here? I haven't scoped it out myself but there might be some resources or tips for you that could help. Or maybe you could ask Parenting, since there is bound to be someone there with experience. I am so sorry you are dealing with this so hard. It is so tough to be so relentlessly sick I wish we could help, and I hope you get another feeling good day soon
obi I Def don't have hg. I *usually* only throw up once a day.
Is it mostly drinking you have trouble with or is it just that you're constantly nauseated? When my stomach was constantly sick feeling I had luck with Gatorade and sparkling water.

It's drinking that makes me nauseous and gives me indigestion.
So being dehydrated is probably what is causing me to feel so shitty.

Well, that's good at least! Once a day is still too much, I'm sorry that is your life right now.
I'd still say cosmic had a good idea about checking out the HG board or parenting, though. There are bound to be plenty of tips to deal with nausea that you perhaps haven't tried or heard of. Hopefully it passes soon though and you don't need any help.

Can you eat foods that have a lot of water or fluids in them? Watermelon, iceberg lettuce, soup?
I don't think you're overreacting at all @priss08. 40-41+ weeks is common for many people. I haven't talked with my doctor about this yet but I'm curious if it will be different than last time when I was with a MW. While I wound up not needing my 41 week appointment (DS came at 40+1), it was booked and no one thought anything of it. Unless something medical came up that made things urgent, I would refuse to talk about induction, etc. until 41 weeks plus a few days.
So sorry you're still feeling sick jnow. Sending you hugs and hope it will subside on a permanent basis soon.
AFM, just hanging out at home this afternoon. I have to do some cleaning tonight since tomorrow is our night out and I don't want to leave the place a disaster for the babysitter haha. We've actually had a lot of opportunities to go out in the last few months and I'm really glad we've been able to find awesome babysitters that let us do this since after baby #2 comes it will be a few months before I'm able to go for this many hours again.
Thanks guys. I'm taking all suggestions. @amc25 it's funny the nurse suggested jello yesterday. I don't know why I didn't think of that. Mh got some last night and it helped bc all I really had was toast and a real meal sounded terrible. Jello was ok!

ugaqueencity have you talked to your doctor about it? Most women can keep their level of fitness going through pregnancy, but tennis might have some specific concerns the farther along you get - for instance, your joints will all start loosening up as you get further along, which might open you up to tennis elbow or sprained/broken ankle-type injuries.
If you think your doctor will actually listen to you (some will just make blanket statements about exercising, but you're not taking up tennis all of a sudden at 30 weeks pregnant!) it would be worth a conversation.

Gonna attempt a diaper cake. Not sure how much I'll get done after DS goes to bed. Might end up having my sis help with the last details on sat. since this is what I'm being inspired with haha
