I figured it was time for a new thread. Good morning everyone, how are you?
We had a better sleep night, thank goodness. The babies are still sleeping but farting and grunting so much that I can't sleep through it. Maybe I will actually manage to eat some breakfast before I have to feed them.
My babies are farting and grunting machines to bocaburger. Not so much to disturb my sleep though. I find it so funny I never realised how such little peoplw could make such loud grownup farts.

It's true for little people you can hear their farts from the other room. If DH is holding him I have to question who supplied it. And when DS farts he starts laughing..not just a gas smile, but a laugh haha. Such a boy already.

I wish my babies ever slept through farts. 3 kids. Never happened. Oh well. DD3 seems to be outgrowing the grassiness somewhat, which is amazing.
However she has been inconsolable lately. She wakes up from her 40 minute nap happy, is happy for maybe 20 minutes then a mess. The half-eating continues too. I think she is overtired because sometimes a paci pop will lengthen the nap, but even then she is a mess. It is really wearing on me. Yesterday I put her screaming in the car seat after trying a while to settle her and she calmed down there. I felt inadequate and awful.

Oh gratefulgirl you're anything but inadequate. Sorry for the rough day.
Is she maybe getting Cold? Growth spurt so she wants to clusterfeed? Maybe try swaddling her for her nap? I have no idea, just suggesting things we noticed were bothering our DD and causing scream fests.

I've got 2 teething babies. Man its rough. Its been a rough day to say the least. So happy my neighbour is on holidats this week and has nothing better to do but to help me feed the babies. She cimes down qhen she hears them cry and knows its feeding time. Doesn't come at other times, just at feeding times but its so nice to have a adult around 2 times during my day to chat with. And so greatful she is willing to do that. Please send the babies skeeping vibes for tonight they usually do well at night but the whole day was rough so who knows!

DS just took a 3 hour nap, 2 of which had to be on me while swaddled. I can count on one hand the times I've swaddled him in the last 3 months. He's halfway through his bottle and is asleep again. I hope he's not coming down with something. He slept from 7:30pm-7:30am and normally takes about an hour nap, so this is definitely out of the norm for him.

I told you guys when pregnant about the creepy Doctor who asked if I was dilated. Well today he asked if I'm Nursing. How inappropriate for the workplace! So I nervously spoke too much in response.
Thanks for the hugs all. Today when she was fussy I put her in her crib, gave her a few minutes, popped her paci in and she settled herself and eventually fell asleep. I've decided if she just wants to be put down then she's going to feel more loved that way than if I am holding her or in her face when that's not what she wants. But ugh, it feels so counter-intuitive.
In other news she is now self-soothing by rubbing her Zipadee Zip on her face. It's cute except she only does it on the right side, which is where her from-birth flat spot is. So now she's consistently falling asleep on her flat spot, which to this point had been either holding steady or getting better. I have no idea how to address this because it's her self-soothing behavior. Thoughts?

I know nursing is a nature thing. But I get funny talking about it too with certain people. I know i shouldn't but i do. However the dilation convo should never be asked by a male co worker. No no no!

hollyberry how do you know when it's teething? DS has been so cranky all day, like legit screaming and pulling off the boob and he has never done this before. I'm wondering if it covers teething but no idea?

A nurse from the hospital told us very seriously to never let the baby sleep with a Wub-a-Nub. I let her scare me.
::shakes fist::
Yeah... I only let her use it if she's napping next to me. At night she gets just the soothie or I take it out of her mouth once she's asleep.
**paranoid party of 1**
Same. I let them nap with Wubbanubs, blankets, etc because they nap in the living room where I can watch them easily. At night they don't get any of those things.

Hey everyone! Dh and I got back last night from our weekend away for a friend's wedding. Had a really great time. Spent today unpacking and doing so much laundry.
Ds2 is talking sooo much more than when we left! It's crazy how much they can change in a couple days at this age.

I cannot let my baby sleep with a Wubbanub. Besides the fact that Mr. AAP guidelines (aka DH) would kill me, she scoots down the crib in her sleep. So it would be right by her face after it fell out. But it is one of those things I fantasize about.
DD4 had a great 4 month appointment. We are starting to transition off the neosure to regular formula. The regular Similac seems to upset her stomach so I'm trying to find samples around.
hollyberry how old are your two now? I'm mobile. DD4 is acting like she may be cutting a tooth but I figured it was to early!
