We have family pictures this weekend and I'm trying to figure out what the heck to wear - thoughts on this?
I have absolutley no fashon sense at all, and I really like this combo, but our photographer always told us that only kids should be in patterns for pictures. The patterns bring more attention to the person wearing it, so the small people can pull it off, to focus more on them. Adults can wear more subtle patterns, or solids. I usually layer with 2 solids for me. All that to say that YH's shirt may be a bit to much for family pictures.

Yeah, I was worried about that... I'm trying to build mine and Mh's outfits from things we already own, and it's proving to be difficult.
Could you keep the rest of it, but just find something a little less bold for YH? Like a button up that is gray, or white? I like the dark blue, but having both of you in dark blue solid tops and jeans may be a bit matchy, matchy.
I just got a really good deal on a snow suit for M and boots for H. If you are looking for winter outerwear Carters has a good deal today with free shipping.
I got my Mirena put in on Friday. I was pretty miserable with cramps over the weekend. I'm finally getting better today but now I feel super bloated and put on 3 lbs of water weight in 3 days. Please tell me that gets better, too graybaby, adelbert, @pennygirl2013, heartbot (and any other iud users I forgot).
@pennygirl2013 for for the dentist troubles 😕 if it makes your feel better I had a root canal done last Monday and then I go Thursday for a crown and two fillings ... blah
Ry was going down for naps and bedtime on his own... he would get sleepy and we would put him in his crib with a pacifier and he was out. Well lately he flips out and only goes to sleep if I rock him... anyone else have this problem?

We've gone through periods like this, but they don't last too long. Keep trying to put him back down drowsy and he'll hopefully be back to his old self soon!
GAH I have to go back at 2 pm to fix my gum issues at the dentist :-\. I want to take something to relax but, then they won't let me drive home so they better numb me up nice and good.
What kind of gum issues? I had 2 gum grafts a couple of years ago. They were most unpleasant.
birkmmm, sorry about the root canal. I've had quite a few, and I know they suck. How the heck are crowns so expensive?! That's the insult to injury.
I swear I have very good oral hygiene! It's just unlucky genetics.

I know it's insane how much they cost! But I'm on my parents insurance until my bday in March so I'm trying to get all things done before then haha....I have weak enamel it's awful I get cavities so easy and so quick
I have been seeing the ob/gyn for ten years. He's friendly, but annoyed me during delivery and more so during the check-up. I might see how the annual exam goes...
I switched doctor's in between my two kids since my previous doctor moved. It was no big deal to switch.

I had the same ob/gyn for 8 years. I switched after DS1 was born because I loved the OB that delivered him. She was awesome during my preterm delivery, and I wasn't thrilled with the care of my first doctor throughout my pregnancy. It was awkward when I had spotting when pregnant with #2 and had to see her for an emergency visit. She was cool about it though.
I'm so glad I switched because my OB now is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She delivered all 3 of my kids If you aren't happy and there are other options, explore them, especially if you're going to go for #3!
birkmmmminae01 I had the gum grafting done...feel like I was kicked in the mouth. Just took some heavier pain meds now that DD is asleep. Going to have some soup and ice after!
Ugh. You have all my sympathy. Did they take tissue from the roof? How many teeth did they graft? I had my 4 bottom teeth done and one didn't take so they had to redo it. It still didn't take. I hate my mouth.
I hope you're feeling ok today! You probably can't talk!

They did the top 4 front teeth and they ended up using donor tissue so they didn't have to take any tissue from the roof of my mouth. It's definitely better than yesterday but Advil will be my BFF today!
Donor tissue? Like, from a cadaver? I don't think I was even presented with that option. Having two sections of my mouth healing at the same time was rough!
Have you all ever heard of escape rooms? It's becoming a big thing where I live. My coworkers and I did one together yesterday for a team bonding event and it was awesome! I really didn't know what to expect but it was a lot of fun. I told my husband that we needed to another one together. I'd love to see how he does with riddles. So, if you have these by you and haven't tried it--do it!
There are a bunch of types! The one we did was themed The Night at the Mausoleum. There were four of us and we had to solve riddles to find the desired item. So one was a word type riddle--figure it out and then do a crossword style puzzle to reveal the code for the next key. Then the next one you had to search around for items that revealed numbers to get the next key and so on. For ours you had 40 minutes to solve it but we ended up needing about 50 minutes. Throughout the experience there was background music and fog and stuff to really make it real (and it was really dark).
They're currently working on one for Christmas that involves Santa being stuck in a chimney and you have to save Christmas. I really want to do that one!
This sounds like a lot of fun! I bet my H would really like this, too!
I read somewhere along the way that it's best for the body to allow at least 18 months between pregnancies. I know many people have babies closer than that, and that works for them... but I'm taking this recommendation and running with it. I've told Mh I won't even begin to think about TFAS until this time next year.
She had a C section too!! My scar is still red and inflamed at 6m pp. I know she has 9 months but do not want to even think about it stretching back out right now....or ever, lol.
Isn't that dangerous to get pregnant again when your scar hasn't even healed? I guess the c/s would explain why she was able to have the sex so soon after.

I'm nosey AF and want to know if they planned it. Obviously it's none of my business but I'm going to try and get him to tell me....very slyly lol. He said a couple of weeks ago that they wanted another so i don't know if he said it because they were planning or because he already knew.
I cannot possibly believe that someone would plan Irish twins.

One just opened near me and I enjoy been thinking about. Thanks!
So my H decided he's taking M to NC for the week of Thanksgiving! Not sure what I'll do without them for a whole week! He never took vacation this year and will lose it if he doesnt. I have to work that entire week and would never get it off. Any of you been away from LO for a week by 7 months old? I'm trying to to stress about missing them or missing her first flight...I'm trying to plan things I never get to do anymore (movie...pedicure..Sleep!) I'm a mix of emotions right now!

I was gone the first week of October. I missed M but loved taking naps, reading, and just enjoying the quiet. I felt guilty at first, but it saved my sanity.

Jealous!!! You are going to really enjoy that time for yourself. You'll miss her (and maybe your H!), but it will be sooo nice to have the house to yourself!
Yes! I am in love with this show and all its characters! I haven't watched this week's episode yet. I'm saving it for naptime tomorrow and I can't wait!
