XP From Yesterday, 10/24, on O'16 has been a whirlwind of a day.
A short summary: Baby Penguin was born at 12:37 pm via c-section weighing 8 lbs and 10 oz. She had a lot of fluid in her airway and they kept trying to get it out buy couldn't. I saw her care team go from one, to two, then to three people and knew it wasn't good. She was taken to the NICU and been on the CPAP ever since because she is not breathing on her own strong enough yet. I saw her once on my way from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor and should be getting to see her again sometime after 10 pm. I am counting down the minutes and watching the clock like a hawk.
*I'll be posting an update thread hopefully in the morning from how today, 10/25, went. DD2 is breathing on her own now without the help of the CPAP, but there is more going on now that they can't pinpoint a reason for. I'm completely and utterly exhausted and just can't get to it now. She is still in the NICU.*

Congratulations penguin129! I hope they can figure out what is going on soon and the stay is short. Will be sending lots of positive thoughts your way!
Oh my goodness I'm sorry you are dealing with the unknown and a NICU stay. Sending lots of good thoughts your way for some answers and lots of cuddles and improvement today. Congratulations!
Thank you for the updates. I'm glad her breathing corrected itself and hope she can keep her food down! I'll be thinking of you guys and hope for a very short NICU stay!
I'm so sorry you've had such a rough start penguin129. I hope your little girl continues to improve and that you're home snuggling before long. Congratulations to your family!!
Congrats. My babies always go to the NICU. You will impress the nurses if you can walk there after your c-section.
Yesterday I used the wheelchair to get pretty much everywhere and paid the price later. Today I walked more and more and more. My feet are super duper swollen

Ah, that's too bad. They wouldn't release me so I was in the hospital quite a while which is probably why I remember dragging my IV to the elevators and around the NICU so much. Plus, I get so sick when pregnant that even with a giant incision, I actually felt better than I had in months as soon as my child was out. The nurses will have solutions for your feet. Don't overdo it, but they say walking is the way to get better and avoid blood clots.
