Morning meeting my mom 1/2 way between us this morning. She is buying my brother's birthday gift and using my hb's discount card. Not sure what else we will get into.
+1 to the cold. My car windows were frosted over! I am not yet mentally prepared for ice scrapers and freezing fingers.
M's school is having a Halloween party on Friday. I failed to pay attention and was late to signing up for snacks. Miss M is in charge of Bugles. It was either that or hull-less popcorn (Say what? I don't even know where to buy that!).
malvo, so, they asked you to sign up for items, which is totally fine, but it was very specific to things like BUGLES and HULL-LESS POPCORN? LOL. People still eat BUGLES? I want some now!
sjep922, we were very warm last week, this is so sudden!! I'm not ready. What is Winter like for y'all? 70s?
ladymike the high is usually in the 60's and low 70's. Sometimes it'll get REALLY cold in the 50's.
REALLY? THAT COLD?! You better buy a lightweight jacket so you don't freeze!! ;-)
My aunt & uncle live in Florida and they get so freaked out when they come up here to visit. My aunt owns, like, one pair of pants and no real shoes. They never know what to do, they almost act like it's a completely different planet. It's hilarious.
ladymike Yes, rather specific and they even gave some instructions (i.e. grapes that are cut up). But it is the toddler room so, ya know, must be cautious of choking hazards.
I used to sign my mother up for chip dip and she'd give each dip a fancy name, like "Rudolph's Ranch Dip." The dip was also accompanied by drawings she did of the characters (Rudolph, Frosty, Santa, etc.).

Yeah, it was 39 then I left the house this morning. Cold. But my legs are still out because I have yet to stock up on tights for the winter. Good thing I have this cozy Sarah to wrap around me lol!
Going with the 4th grade to the symphony today. I am super excited. I never get to go on field trips so it will be fun to get out. But my library is a mess and I have about 200 books to shelve before I go. I need a volunteer to help me!

This is me. All of it. Ha ha. The only reason I have a heavier jacket is because we go up north for a weekend usually. And they have actual cold weather and snow in the winter.
So I listen to you all have nice weather and being outside in the summer (while I'm stuck inside while it's 115*). But now it's my turn to go outside and enjoy nice weather! If we ever break 90 that is...
graciest719, I'm on it. I'm trying to find myself an Ana that I might like, so I'll keep my eyes open. I'm too afraid to play roulette with that one and end up with a heathered solid or that weird yellow orange plaid. Like, is that all they print those in? Heathered and weird plaid?!
portuguesemama, Uggh, sorry about your tooth! Rub some whiskey on it ;-).
Rough "weekend" for my family but we are looking forward to a short work week and some family time! We are going to a haunted campground with my bff(and her bf). It should be a blast.

Thanks all. I haven't been to the dentist in an embarrassingly long time. There's one near us that specializes in anxiety with treatment so I think I'll be making that call tomorrow. I thought it was just my jaw since I clench my teeth so much, but it looks like it's my last molar I've been dreading this day because I know it's all my own damn fault.
portuguesemama, if it weren't for MH, my dentist track record would be so sad. He schedules my appointments and tells me to go. LOL. It's okay. It happens!

it's cold and wet here most days now.
I get so anxious about what temp to keep D's room/what type pyjamas he wears. He hasn't clued in yet that his blanky goes over top of him when he sleeps. Instead he just likes to lay on it and rub it on his face so im always worried hes cold.
Also, flu shots.....YAY OR NAY??? Have you already gotten them? Canada might be different when it comes to the typical age/month vaccines and flu schedules though so just wondering
maddisonrose Yes to the flu shot. She got it a few weeks ago. It's a yearly thing, usually recommended to be done in October before flu season comes out in full force. I also got mine on Tuesday. I never used to get it, but started to do it yearly after I got pregnant.
ETA: We did flu and Hep B (had to be redone) one visit. And then, 2 weeks later, we did Hep A and TDAP at her 18-month appt. I keep her on schedule, but also try not to do too many vaccines in one visit.

Do you need to get a booster for the flu? Or just once and that's it for the year?
