teraiin I'm sorry you are having sleep issues. We had some as well, DD2 is 11 months now and started sttn probably 1.5 months ago. It did take some training which I was hesitant on but I think it was definitely best for everyone

Thanks! Yeah I was taking with h this morning and we agree that some training is probably for the next. i guess I'm going to keep going with the nap training and once we get that straightened out see what happens with night time.

How old is your LO?
He will be 6 months next week. I've been reluctant to start due to age. Last week I started some mild nap training mostly because he literally wasn't napping, not even a cat nap. He had woken up at 5:30 and hadnt slept a wink by noon. So I nursed and rocked him, put him in his crib drowsy and then let him cry for five minutes and he passed out for an hour in his crib.
He used to nap in my arms or the rnp. Now he won't nap in my arms period. He will SOMETIMES nap in the rnp but only if it's in the bathroom with the water on. But he's so tall that the rnp isn't really a safe option even if he's hooked in... That and he can't always be in the bathroom lol
teraiin do you have a sound machine that sounds like running water? That might help. Does he have a lovey at all? We've had a lot of success with the A&A Muslin square blankets. They are small and thin so I feel okay with them at this age.

I just got a baby Einstein aquarium soother thing it sounds Like water. I need to play with the settings because it lights up which totally seems to over stimulate DS rather than sooth him lol
If not in going to yet to find one that does sound like running water to see if that helps.
So far he doesn't have a lovey, not due to my lack of trying though. He just doesn't seem to cling to any one thing in particular yet
