E was up early today, so he's already down for a nap. And C is still sleeping! So I'm enjoying the peace and quiet!
My sister has been bugging me about decreasing how often I wash my hair. I'm a greasy person, so have always washed daily. I'm going to try and get down to twice a week, so I'm preparing to be gross and slimy over the next few weeks as my hair gets accustomed to the change.
C's 2 week check up at the mw's today. I'm excited to see her weight as we're doing pumped milk from my friend and formula. Also her nb sleepers are getting to small 😢. It's moving too fast!
annapunkalunka my hair use to be the same so greasy lol. Mine adjusted slowly but it adjusted and I only wash mine twice a week now. Makes life easier so GL! Both kids have Dr's appointments today. 3 year and two month checkup. I hate shot days so I'm nervous for E. I'm also crazy for making the appointment at 10. I hope I make it lol
annapunkalunka, I've only been washing my hair every other day for most of my leave. I figured it's a good time to try to make that change while it's acceptable for me to look greasy and gross!

Last night was terrible. J woke at like 3 and refused to go back to sleep on his own. I think he's having trouble pooping and its making him very cranky amd irritable. He is also showing very clear nipple aversion this morning which means we've taken like 4 giant steps backwards. Awesome.
Nana has my oldest so it's just me and the baby today. Since I go back to work on Tuesday I think I'm going to try and catch up on stuff here at the house. I need to wash my work clothes and hem some new pants I bought.

annapunkalunka, I'm a long time 2x/week hair washer. It's such a time saver, you'll love it once your hair has adjusted.
I've got all 3 kids at home today, DD's school is closed today & tomorrow for parent-teacher conferences so I let DS1 stay home from preschool with us. Should be a wild day, haha.

How are you feeling about going back?
I feel a mix of being ready to go back to work and incredibly sad. Which one I feel more of depends on the day. Part of me thinks it will help everyone to get back into our usual routine and but I've really enjoyed my time off with the kids. The first week back is always rough.

Yes it's so hard at first. But I'm off summers and half way through I think I could not SAH full time, so I totally get the mixed feelings.
We are going to lunch with my brother today. Then shopping for some more weather appropriate clothes for DD and I need business clothes for my internship starting next week. I dress casually at my job and haven't lost enough weight to fit into the clothes from my old job at a credit union that required business attire. Hopefully I find stuff and don't just get depressed.
What is the benefit of cutting down to washing your hair twice a week? My hair is super greasy if I don't wash it and I use product so I feel like I have to wash daily.

annapunkalunka you could try dry shampoo or conditioner for inbetween washes. I used to use baby powder but considering the recent developments about long term use causing cancer I wouldn't recommend that.
My hair dresser always tells me I should wash my hair less often, but usually I work out and get sweaty every day (not right now - just walking until my doctor clears me for more, hopefully at my 6 week appointment), so I feel the need to wash every day.
LO did great last night - up twice around 12:15 & 4:15 to eat, then right back to sleep. However, he flat-out refused to nap in the PNP this morning. I'm feeding him & then will probably take him out for a walk to make sure he sleeps. Then I'll try for an afternoon PNP nap.
singingsea I go back to work Monday and I totally feel you. I'm ready to get back into the swing of it, but also sad and worried that K won't settle into a routine that works. Particularly after a night like last night when she takes hours to go down and then wakes up again every 2 hours.
MIL has a job interview today (yay!) that's 3 hours away (boo) so she'll be gone all day. H is still in Vegas, and today is looking like a nightmare.
In better news, I got a call back about the job I've been interviewing for and they want me to come down next Thursday to meet the whole team. Since their office is near the big regional airport and mine is near our tiny little town airport and driving to this interview would take me 3+ hours, they've offered to get me a seat on one of the little puddle jumper type flights that run between those two. Should make my day a lot easier. Now I just need to make sure that MIL has no plans that day.
Add me to the tired club! It's probably coincidence but I forgot to give DD probiotics and gas drops last night and she was super gassy between 2:30-4 last night (I guess I mean this morning). I don't know if that really helps that much but it helps to have something to blame lack of sleep on!

jennybeans, my hair is generally really dry and takes a long time to look greasy, so I don't do anything to it between washes except an occasional dry shampoo if needed, which is rare. I do brush it every night before bed to help distribute the oils away from the scalp. I might be a special snowflake though, my hair type/texture just works better with infrequent washing. It goes crazy if I wash it too much, it gets really dry and coarse and frizzy.
I stopped bleeding completely around 2-2.5 weeks PP (just really needed a liner after a week and a half). This morning I had very light (but red) bleeding, is it worth a call to OB or normal? I don't remember what it was like with DS. I can't imagine it's my cycle. I'm EBF and didn't get my cycle back until 11 months pp with DS.

Maybe give it a day or two and see what happens. I EP since J was in the nicu and got my cycle like 2-3 weeks after my pp bleeding stopped and have continued to get it much to my displeasure.
We had a singing for baby activity this am. He's way too small for,it, but it gives me a social activity.
Add me to the twice a week hair washing club. I have a lot of hair, so it takes a long time to dry. Every hair dresser I've had has told me how healthy my hair was even though I've coloured it for years. You can use dry shampoo between washes or if you sweat a bit.

This happened to me. I mentioned it to my OB at my 6 week PP appointment and she said random occasions of spotting or light bleeding aren't anything to worry about unless they're still happening after 6 to 8 weeks.
